This app is rubbish. I pay a substantial amount of money for my private health care through HBF... and this is the most useless app I've ever come across. Sort your game out HBF. Happy to go elsewhere otherwise.

A70%
by A####:

What a bucket of s**t this app this. Uploaded crystal clear claims only to be told that they were rejected because they were unreadable and blurry. Then realised that the app is compressing my 3.5MB photo to a 32KB file - well what do you expect! Of course it's going to be unreadable. And the app says the max file size is 6MB! Stupid. Not to mention you can't see any claims history via the app. This app does more harm than good - just take it off the app store HBF.

A70%
by A####:

The images take clear photos but then you receive a letter back about poor quality, it looks like i used a toaster to take the photo.

Z70%
by Z####:

Fix the damn bugs please, it glitches and freezes up every time WTF we live in an digital age for goodness sake.

Z70%
by Z####:

Photos taken of (A4) receipts for claims are reduced in size by the app such that the details are unreadable. I cant believe HBF are not taking any notice of this same feedback from so many users.

Z70%
by Z####:

As soon as you try to find a provider the whole app freezes and if you go back a page you still cant click on anything. C'mon HBF we're paying you enough. Find someone who can make an app that works.

A70%
by A####:

Looked for provider or branch and it loads to the next page but shows no info.... It just freezes. What a terrible app. Only just joined Hbf. Hope this isnt an omen regarding the type of health cover ill be receiving!

I70%
by I####:

Doesn't even work! attached a photo of receipt and still saying you need attach at least on to submit!

L70%
by L####:

To make a claim you need to upload a document. App doesn't recognise the document is there.

Z70%
by Z####:

Need to be able to submit PDF documents via mobile. I order contact lenses online and the claim documentation is emailed to me which I can save as a PDF but not an image file. Please fix.

O70%
by O####:

Why would you not allow pdf upload, when you can upload pdfs online??

T70%

Haven't logged in once since installed just goes to white screen.

Never works!!! Been trying to submit a claim for an hour now

C70%

Can't do the search for dental providers, it just freezes up my phone..

Z70%

Simply did not work. Kept asking me to "attach at least one claim to continue" - i had 3 attached.

Wont run the app. Crashes when I try to log in to make a claim.

Waste of time. Looks like it's going to submit a claim for you, but then you receive an email a few days later saying that your (perfect) photo of your receipt is unreadable.

I70%
by I####:

The images take clear photos but then you receive a letter back about poor quality, it looks like i used a toaster to take the photo.

O70%
by O####:

Dont bother - has rejected all the claims I've tried to do via the app because it couldn't read the photo. I uploaded the invoices as a pdf straight from my email so its jot even my dodgy photography, just the crappy uploading from the app. If Medicare can get it to work, then surely you can HBF.

F70%
by F####:

The app is just a webpage, not useful when manging your account, better using a mobile web browser to make claims. If Medicare is able to make an app that can make claims and manage your account easily so should this one. I'm definitely deleting this app as it is a waste of space, will look into reconsidering this app if it works as an actual app and not another browser

Y70%
by Y####:

When making a claim, it says it will accept files up to 6MB but then it reduces the file size to 29kB, which is so bloody stupid. That is thumb nail size. The copies of my two invoices, which they mailed to me, looked like they had been printed on a dot matrix printer and they were so dark, you could barely read them. They also politely gave me tips on how to take a good photo. What they need to do is update the app so the photos are not reduced in resolution, and get a decent bloody printer. Aside from that, the app was easy to use.

C70%
by C####:

The app is great for being able to submit claims, however the idea of having an app is to make things simpler, and if you don't have your card number handy (and who remembers it?) you need to dig it up to log in. The app should only need one login then be accessible via a pin like the Medicare app.

C70%
by C####:

Seriously, can't it be more useful? It defaults all searches to WA while I'm in VIC and the searches don't seem to work anyway. I wanna see my claim history, check if my dentist works with hbf and so on...

C70%
by C####:

Hbf claim photos unrecognizable (which is rubbish as I can read the photos I uploaded). Need to type in member no and password each time.

V70%
by V####:

It's basically just the website.

C70%
by C####:

I thought I'd be able to set it up with my account and manage my account; check my claim progress etc but it seems it's mostly informational apart from making claims.

C70%
by C####:

No more crashing on the SG5. The ability to find provider's in such a vast selection is excellent.

C70%
by C####:

Don't bother, reduces 6MB pics to 35kB and then rejects your claim because they can't read it. Rediculous.

C70%
by C####:

I wished I took notice of the negative reviews, because they are 100% correct. Waste of time.
