We know how active you are and wherever you may be, you will always need internet and free networks are not always available, nor steady.
Here comes the WifiFree - we scan wireless networks near your location or any given location and find the most relevant WiFi spots.
How does it work?
1. Start the application, choose a location and search for WiFi available.
2. We scan all found networks and filter those with available passwords or no passwords at all (all passwords are user shared and no hacking or intrusion of privacy is involved).
3. Choose your WiFi and start browsing.
The application is 4square based and if you have a 4square account and don't mind the ads showing here and there, it's absolutely free.

I don't actually have a phone. Hence why I would want to know where free WiFi spots are. Well, this app won't help with it; it has you log into another site to use for free or pay a dollar, then claims the only way to know where you are is to have full access to your phone service account. And then it sill doesn't list WiFi locations, just general locations that site you logged into has. And, according to numerous sites that would utilize how frequent people come and go, it is tracking where you are to sell, which actually wasn't in the permissions.

Google searched for free wifi in Harvard sq resulting in a link with cached text naming various venues with free wifi near me. Clicked link and the page directed me to the Google play store. Downloaded the app, didn't want a foursquare account so I STUPIDLY paid the $1. App shows no free wifi in Harvard sq anywhere. Ha!

Wish I'd read the reviews before purchase. WHAT A WASTE OF $1.What a ripoff. There are hardly any wireless hotspots listed. It gives you more worthless location info than wireless hotspots. . Supposed to be able to change location by long-pressing map. I couldn't tell whether that worked or not because info did not change.
