Kuna Home Security for Android
Glaring hole in your security system. I found that an event is only recorded if someone steps directly in front of the camera. I walked from the street to my car parked in the driveway. I opened the door waved at the camera located directly in front of it. I then closed the door and walked back to the street...nothing. It was only when I repeated what I had done but walked in front of the camera that the event was recorded. And that was with AI enabled and motion detection set to 100. Not good.
Cannot get anyone from customer service. I bought two of these lights. Having read some reviews I decided to only install one and wait a week to see if any issues came up. After not having any issues for 7 days I went ahead and installed the second light last night. No problems. This morning I walk out my front door and it's making a horrible loud clicking / thumping sound. The only way to get it to stop is turning the light switch off. So not only do I not have a functioning camera, I have no porch light. Have attempted to get through to customer service all day with no response. Not impressed at all.
HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK???.... IT WORKED FOR A MONTH AND STOPPED. WASTE OF MONEY ON THE PRODUCT AND INSTALLATION. The camera goes offline A LOT, my light desided that it wants to come on at 12p and i cant change the setting and customer service dont answer the phone when you call for support. Ive called 15x.... Im about to report them to the BBB. ????????????????????
I really like the product had to turn down the sensitivity. My only issue is when I hit live feed I can here the background but the feed goes dark, why is that?
Live stream feature rarely works. Often goes offline

Only detects movement about half the time.
Its ok.... Light goes on for no parent reason cameras blurry what you pay for is what you get.
Deletes the video in just a few hours.
Best techy toy I have seen in a while! Need to be able to record my own message and have a separate alert sound on the phone exclusively for this app when motion is detected.
Love my Kuna Light/Camera. Love the holiday sounds, can we get a Halloween "Sorry Kids, we are all out of Candy" in a cool Halloween spooky voice :-)
Its ok but the light never turns off during the day.

App needs to let you disable more of the new features they keep adding. Go back to the basics. Need to allow PC to view. Costs too much, reception sucks, AI is worthless. It informs me that my truck is in the driveway every five minutes. Doesn't turn the light on until I get out of the truck for some reason. Not when the truck pulls in. At least now they have a phone number to call. Before it took weeks to answer a simple question.
The app works great. Had to adjust the detection sensativity, but now it properly alerts me when someone comes to my door. Setup is easy. Only downside is the premium plan is a little pricey, but I have no problems with the free version!
The latest update causes app to crash when changing sound.
DO NOT UPDATE!! Latest updates bugged out connection. I updated firmware for Kuna unit. I also updated app. Now when I try to connect to camera with app, it will not connect to camera for live view. Just says "Loading" the whole time. Not sure what messed up connection, firmware update or app update. Either way, if it isn't broke don't mess with it!! Do not update!
Someone just threw a basketball at my house and i saw a kid run by. Light turned on, no alert. I can't really trust this thing... when I do try to use the viewer, it always freezes. I've never been able to really talk to anyone through it because it freezes. No way will I pay for the premium subscription, I'll probably get something else. Update- now light never turns off. When I try to turn off via the app, it says error. I literally have to switch the whole unit off so the light goes out. What a piece of garbage.
Since the last update, more false alert, takes time updating, and slow. Maybe you need to increase the capacity and speed of your cloud storage servers
I've had my Kuna for a few years, now that I got a new phone, the camera will not connect, keeps telling me to get closer, my phone is touching the light, I cannot get any closer Looks like everyone was right about the update, Looks like I'm the owner of another piece of useless junk...
Could we please get the ability to control what sound the alert is on our devices. This ding sound that I have to either turn off or hear all day when s car drives by had to be customizable.
I backed on Kickstarter almost day one and love having the cams. Ease of installation and setup is hard to argue with. But the rest has always been mediocre. Live cam? Alerts? Voice messaging? It works 1/3 of the time, and even then is rarely solid or reliable. If you want to set up an alert while you're out of town, sometimes my next door neighbor leaving will trigger it, but sometimes a guy coming straight up to my door and dropping a pamphlet won't. This varies. There's no rhyme or reason to it. It's sometimes great but often poor. Not reliable. Bell rings while we're asleep. Grab a phone and check! Between 2 tablets and 2 phones (mix of Android and Apple, all modern) one may work, two may work, or none may work. It's a crapshoot. So we paid for the first year at a rebate but we never re-upped. THIS is why. It's SO unreliable. I'm not paying for this monthly. We paid a low cost for the initial buy as early backers so I'm cool with that. We're selling soon and these will be left behind. I'll be getting a real set up with a reliable app in our new home. My network is solid af (120/30) and I work IT, networking. Not a novice.
Product, app and support are terrible. Would be worth the money if it worked as it said.

Good security camera
Since the last update, our cameras have been missing cars and people. You can stand in front of it and wave your hand....and nothing. Then a minute later it catches a car driving by on the street. Update: we aren't even getting alerts when the cameras go offline. We've turned them off for a while and back on...and nothing! We're missing so many alerts.
The app used to work okay, since the last update it no longer alerts me when someone is at the door. I checked my settings and volume, everything was as it should be. The device is useless to me if I am not alerted when someone comes to the door.
Attempts to re-sync the camera is ridiculously difficult/poor programming. No tech support "within 24 hours via e-mail" tells you the company is shoe-string cheap! Don't Waste Your Money on Kuna.
Hard for me to understand all the negative reviews. I've had my Kuna for 18 months and it has worked well that entire time. Both iOS and Android apps deliver good video and alerts of motion. Kuna updates the app often and it keeps getting better...I recommend this product and apps without any reservation.
I have the Kuna security and companion light. Setup was easy, pairing the companion light was simple as well. The software is another issue. Most of the features you think you were getting are grayed out (unaccessible), which is upsetting since we paid alot for watered down app. I don't have a hold to talk button as I've seen in other videos without having to upgrade several hundred dollars a year. Video quality is good. You can only move the camera slighty. Other than that I can see who comes to my front door
Glitchy at times, but all in all a great product. Customer service has been really helpful. Very easy to set up and getting ready to purchase 2 more cameras to add to the two I already have.
Detection could be a bit better. Sometimes it doesn't notice I am there until I get right up to the door. Also the app is a little slow to notify when someone is at the door. 15-30 seconds sometimes.
Still have some issues with the software. Live playback got some bugs, you can only see a black screen.
Just purchased Toucan also. Awesome Customer support, very pleased with both products, software and excellent customer service! Well done.
Can't even pair the security light...no matter what device I use to try and establish the pair.

I've had mine going on 2 years now, its been great. Love watching my dogs while I'm at work also. When I have questions, I e-mail, they get right back to me.
