PDF Max - The #1 PDF Reader!

Has a good amount of annotation options which are readily accessed. If it will not open a file saying invalid file, change the app permissions and give it storage access. For Google drive, upload your file to Google drive and open it from PDF Max which will download it to your device. To sync it after making annotations, you have to use the back arrow to go to the main Google drive page and it will say uploading file at the bottom.

Text is difficult to lay down. It defaults to highlighting, underlining, or other crap. Can't 'check boxes' but ink and a squiggle fills it in. Just looks sloppy. Most redeeming feature is save locally AND rename!!! Access files to locations it can't explore. Won't show is own directory of pdfmax.

I have no idea what happened, started off as a great app but keeps crashing and losing my work that I make in lectures, frustrating me to no end. I seem to keep wasting the time I spent making notes and listening to the lecture to go back and find that nothing was saved even when I back it up. Useless.

The advertisements in this app include videos with audio that pop up randomly. I want to use this app in class. I cannot do this without causing disruptions due to the ads. Since I can't use it in class, I can't get a good idea if the app works for what I want. Therefore, this company will never get my money for the pro version.

Excessive and loud ads. Given that this app is free, I understand why it contains ads. But the ads in this app are excessive (pops out every 5 to 10 min) and with sound. This is too much!

Used on Huawei Mediapad M2 10. So far, it's the best I have found for annotating on PDFs. Important feature to be added: automatic saving. Also, cannot figure out how to cancel. The eraser tool keeps cancelling the whole annotation so I am not able to make corrections without having to delete and rewrite the whole thing. Any help? This is quite annoying. Also, very annoying ads, they come up too often!

Doesn't work on non-Amazon Androids. Keeps telling me my PDFs (which open with other apps) are "invalid pdfs"

I use it every day in the university to take handnotes over the pdfs but has some flaws that should be fixed. First, I'm not able to make a point while I'm writing, by stylus, and takes me 4 or 5 touches of the pen to appear, whereas in other pdf readers it's intant. The other thing is the save mode, I've lost a lot of annotated pages due to force closes of the app because I did not save every single time. An autosave mode would be perfect. With this two things the app would be perfect for me: the dropbox connection, the offline reading and annotation, the multitab view and the zoom in writing makes it a really good app.

I can't figure out how to access documents on my SD card. That's where I store all my pdf files. Therefore, this app is useless!

I've made a comment recently about the app and rated as the best pdf reader so far(for those who love to read pdf materils). Meanwhile, I'd like to contact the developer of this app, but I don't know how.

It would seem as if the save button is just there for decoration and serves no purpose whats so ever, I'm making annotations a pdf file hitting save after each one and when i close the file and i open it again NONE OF THEM ARE THERE

Editing/ reading very good but it failed to open some partialy protected PDF files and read aloud feature doesn't allow scrolling or reading from next para on the same page. I.e. every time it start from first line.

unique ability to scroll around the doc and annotate without having to switch back and forth between pen and scroll mode. How? Split screen design. but still a bit clunky

Please fix some problems on it. It can't run in EMUI 3.0 Well. Some marks up can't be saved like stamp, highlight etc. Hopefully it will be solved bcause it is the best reader i have ever had.

I'm reviewing this app from a Docear research annotation compatibility perspective. + Pros: Works well, can highlight text, can make comments and can comment on highlights. - Cons: Highlighted text are not copied automatically to comment. This app works, but there are better options for annotation with regards to Docear compatibility (e.g. foxit mobile PDF).

I love to use this app to take notes in class but the pop up ads are way too annoying! Esp the ones with a timer where you need to wait 5seconds before you can close it. Dear developer, please just design an advert bar at the side of the screen? Pop ups are interruptive and slow down my note taking >:(

It's a pdf viewer and annotator and it can't even open a darn pdf on my phone. Just says invalid file and gives up. It does however work on my tablet so half of a yay

I'm going to have to uninstall this app. Overall, it works well, but too often I've lost data I saved to a PDF form.

So glad I finally found this app. As a student, I am assigned to read many PDFs, and having this app solves my eyestrain problems. In conjunction with the voices I've downloaded from Acapela, now I'm perfectly happy!

I'm fine with free apps having ad's, but be considerate of your target market. And loud ads are simply not apporate for a producitivy app.

It's a PDF app that can't open PDF files. Attempting to open a PDF file yields "Invalid File!" Their claim to being the #1 PDF reader is misleading.

Adverts are a bit annoying especially, those with sound, but it is tolerable with it being free. An auto save option would be nice too.

Really, this is insane, same ad every 10 minutes. Makes app unusable. Fix this. Otherwise been great app.

It's the best pdf reader, but sometimes load slowly. Update 12/2015: this was the best pdf reader now sucks with the excessive ads

it does have feature to index a large pdf for faster search..add if possible .

(1) Browser doesn't reach storage/emulated/0/download/ .. Only gets as far as storage/emulated/ .. (2) When used as "open with" destination from a file browser, this app claims that a perfectly healthy PDF, which is readable by every other PDF app, is an "invalid file!". I'll give them a week to fix it before i remove it. Meantime it doesn't live up to its hype -- can't even get of the ground!

When you try to Stamp, the app just stops. Please fix the bugs to get much better ratings.

Wont even start properly. Tries to launch, then crashes. Maybe it is good? Worthless if it doesnt work at all.

Has a pretty good amount of annotation options. Once in a while when zooming in then out, the previously not included portion of the page is blurry. Otherwise, it is good. ------------------------------------ This used to be a good program but for the past few months, it will not open a file saying invalid file. These same pdf files can be opened by all the other pdf programs I am trying out.

Note 5= crashes constantly and when it is working it's plagued with invasive advertisements that pop up every 5 minuets requiring you to close them before you can continue. Cant find a way to add pictures a requirement for my application.

Alright, it's an excellent PDF viewer hands down - the best app for viewing PDF to be honest. BUT here's why I'm angry. I read two books on PDF Max viewer and I annotated quite a lot and it always asked "Do you want to backup file before annotating?" And I said yes. And then a week later I come up to open my files and find that all my annotations have disappeared! I never saved my docs before I left the app but I found that it's defaulty set to save everything. So where did my highlighted versions go?

Both readers are having such an "Invalid Format" error, while this app does not have such errors.

Seems great until annotations start disappearing and ads take over your screen.

Can't display thumbs for encrypted pdf files, and, worst of all, I can't find my bookmarks! I have the option to "add outline", but all I want to do is view my EXISTING bookmarks in order to use them for navigation. Support for OneDrive is great, but not good enough to make it worth the aforementioned cons.

After updating to marshmallow not working completely, says invalid file for every file. reinstalled but didn't work

Tried using PDF Expert Pro in Android 6 OS (Marshmallow), but getting "Invalid File" when opening using "Open With". PDF opens fine in other apps such as Ez PDF Reader or Foxit. I can open documents in PDF Expert if I first save the file in cloud storage such as Google Drive and open it from there, however, there are also other issues with PDF Expert. For example, after opening the document from Google drive, I try flattening the file. It states "Can't flatten: open failed: ENOENT (No such file or directory)". There appear to be some serious file structure issues that need to be addressed when using this in Android 6 OS. The user interface is good, but the app is unusable with the other issues. Also, the app has not been updated since Dec 2015, so I would stay away until updates are released to address issues. I really hope that the company has not ceased development on the Android version, but an update is long overdue and I feel my money was wasted on this.
