Salomon Running

Because I respect very much the brands Salomon and Suunto, I had high expectations for this App. But at the moment I am deeply disappointed. I can not sign up. After filling in my data, a million times allready, I get a message that tells me to review my data and then retry. My data is correct and still nothing happens. And when I try to exit the App, it blocks or I receive an error message that sais that the App had to stop. If it works for you, great. For me it did not.

No exit app option, profile options always in imperial units with metric selected, screen design awkward even for big smartphones, very poor content.

This is basically unable. Over the last four weeks I've lost at least one run a week either through the app just stopping with no explanation or unable to get it to start. Given the lack of a meaningful community aspect this app is just an isolated waste of space. Don't waste your time or effort on it! All this from someone with over 1000 points so I think I've given the app plenty of time to improve!

Loaded up and the closest runs it found were 120 miles away! In other words the app has virtually no content therefore is useless. Why make an app because having your own app is the cool thing to do. Waste of space and time it simply cheapens your brand.

Why are there only a few locations for the UK. Very limited. My area isn't available to select which is a shame. Please rectify.

I have had this app for a long time now, and there is never any information about my area. I live in a large, runner friendly, city. There are almost no routes, no community, and worst of all, no growth or development of those things within the app.

We have a lot of urban trails in Tri Cities WA. I thought this would be a cool way to find more, but no. There's only a handful of major cities on the app.

It worked twice and now it will not let me login. Seems to be very temperamental. There are better apps out there.

Trying to understand why Salomon releases such a complete unstable and unfinished app to their customers. Puts a big shadow on the otherwise excellent brand.... Just uninstalled the app. It's really crap!

You think oh this looks good and then you open it and the idea is but it is so limited it is just taking up memory so I'm uninstalling.

i've tried about 8 fitness Apps and this is the only one that you can't track your stats on the website. Plus there's a lot of bugs in it. i would've kept using it even with the bugs if i could track my states on a website with my computer.

I've now lost count of how many runs I've lost. Really annoying to get home go to stop it and find it's crashed or something. Today my 11km run was recorded as 29m. Don't waste your time with this it's so flawed it's not worth the hassle. It's a shame because the gasification had the potential to be great.

App is definitely in the baby stages. It says there are no community runs in my city. We have several very active running meetup groups, with at least two different runs each day. It says there are only 2 trails, and neither are particularly interesting. I could list many others that visitors might like to see. As far as I can tell, there is no place for a user to make suggestions in terms of group runs or trails.

It crashes way too frequently. 7 out of 9 times I add a new spot it crashes and ends the run. Even leaving it alone on a 7 miler it crashes lord knows when as it lay in my amphipod pouch.

This is just ridiculous. How in the heck does anyone use this app when there are so few cities listed?

Well it looks like it would be cool if you actually lived in any of the few cities available.....

Only city it has for Australia is Melbourne.....WTF...where is Sydney? There is no way to add anything so you can only select Melbourne.....very poor.

I live in a city full of trails and tracks, but this app knows only two, both on the other side of the galaxy. Though CityTrail is UI rich, it is so data impoverished that it is useless. I'll pass for now; maybe in a year there will be more. See you then!

While I feel sad and lonely running alone now (no community runs in my area or "spots" the joy of getting points essentially for sweat happily takes over - good application of gamification principals Salomon! My biggest gripe is with the accuracy. I generally run two circuits and thought that this app would inspire me to try running different routes and get a little out of my comfort zone, but wait, my short route is reporting more ascent than my long route? Considering my long route is the short with a couple of added hills I find that hard to believe. Also... and this is just a minor annoyance... the clean up algorithm that is used to clean up the GPS track when you post to facebook has a habit of cutting off areas that are close together i.e. I run along two paths that are very close together, one is along the bottom of the valley and the other is slightly up the valley wall before it starts to climb, that whole spur of my run is cut off. Fix the accuracy and algorithms and get some spots where I live (I don't want to earn 500 points and start declaring my own that seems like cheating to me) and I'll give you 5 stars No day count on "Time Spend on your run" ruined everything!

Shame that Prague, Czech republic is missing so far..

Really nice app, just some technical stuff such as your run stopping when you press the home button and the app starting by ietself randomly. Please add some new trails in jhb and pta south africa.

Nice app, especially when connected with Suunto's Movescount account, but it needs some features available in other similar apps like e.g. autopause etc. Are you planning to add new spots and routes in other countries? Or maybe there is a possibility to add new routes after earning 500 pts?

Every time I turn it on to track my run I finish and find out that it crashed after few seconds .

Even if I haven't opened it since booting my phone, it opens itself, as if to say, "Hey, don't forget about me!" Well, now you're uninstalled.

Turns on itself when I am checking something else! And when I really need it to work, it goes out of whack!!!

Great app. Helped to Explore the city in a more fun way !
