About Easy Dial
Turn your phone into a giant button for someone who is elderly, disabled, or lacking motor control to easily make a phone call or send a text message.
The idea came about when my family wanted to go to a movie and leave Grandpa (on house care and mostly bedridden) a cell phone "just in case." Knowing Grandpa probably couldn't use a smart phone, I created an app that allows someone to input a contact and launch a full screen button to call that contact. You can set your phone next to grandpa and all he has to do is touch the screen to make a call or send a text. Your loved one can call you if he or she needs something. Or if they are unable to speak clearly, they can send a text message that you create when you start the app. It can be used to just "check in" or to alert you that your loved one needs something.
Feature that make dialing easy for grandpa include:
Automatically dial with speaker phone on - Grandpa doesn't have to hold the phone.
Keep the phone screen from sleeping - Grandpa doesn't have to press the power button to wake it up.
Three modes: Dial, Dial & Text, or Text, whichever Grandpa prefers.
Your contact info is stored in memory for quick setup.
Stores your last five most recent contacts.
Stores your text message so you don't have to enter it each time you start the app.
Change the color of the dial and text button - easier to see for Grandpa.
Enter a number manually so you don't always have to use your contacts list.
When Grandpa calls you and you hang up, my app automatically re-opens to the dial screen so grandpa can call again later.
Ad-free.
