About Tank Totals Calculator
Tank Totals Calculator is your friend when it comes to calculating the total quantity of oil cargo or special applications (such as denatured Ethanol) on board tankers. The app now also offers the ability to export ullage reports to pdf, jpg and csv file format, as well as importing ullage reports from csv format.
Visit the tutorial to see how to use it here: http://bit.ly/1CQWpcv
It will let you configure a maximum of 53 tanks to enable you to record ullage, volume, density, temperature, grade name and expansion coefficient (in case of special applications such as Ethanol).
The app will then for each tank calculate:
- VCF (volume correction factor)
- GSV (gross standard volume) either at 15 deg C or 60 deg F
- MTons in air
- MTons in vacuum
- LTons
- Barrels at 60 deg F
- Gallons
After entering your data, you will be able to see:
- All data including the above calculated results for each tank
- A total for each of the above results for each grade, including average temperature
- A total of all cargo, including average temperature
The app can calculate using both SI Metric and Imperial standards (i.e both ASTM table 54 and table 6), and the user can choose whether to use ASTM tables edition 1980 or edition 2004 (with 2007 amendments).
The app can calculate for:
- Crude oil
- Black and white products
- Lubrication oil
- Special applications such as denatured Ethanol
When entering tank data, the user can choose to use Metric or Imperial units or a mixture of these. In the settings screen the user can select his preference for showing the results in either SI Metric or Imperial units, regardless of which units have been used when entering the data, resulting in a very flexible tool.
The user can also customize the precision settings for weights and volumes if s/he wishes. If not, precision settings are based on whether ASTM 1980 or 2004 tables are being used.
Also included in the app is a wedge calculator, with options to compute wedge volume based on tank physical dimensions, or based on calibration table volume. Data in the wedge calculator can be entered either in SI Metric or Imperial units, and can be converted both ways automatically.
