About Companion 4 Spotify
Companion For Spotify is designed to accompany the Spotify streaming music service. It automates several workflows for you. It's initial feature set is designed to help you find new music.
Companion For Spotify will find albums that were added by Artists that you follow (and their related artists) since your last visit. It can also find if there were any updates to the playlists that you follow. In both cases, Companion For Spotify will import the updated songs into a playlist of your choosing. This is a great way to auto create a daily playlist of updates for your listening pleasure. The application can also generate randomized playlists for you based on the artists that you follow and the artists related to them.
Unlike other tools that generate playlists for you, Companion For Spotify only generates content from artists and playlists that you follow. Who has time to click on every artist and playlist and see what's new? Now there is no need... Companion will do it for you.

NEW RELEASES
This page shows you if any of the artists that you follow on Spotify have added any new songs to the Spotify library since the last time you checked. If so, then you can add those new releases to a playlist of your choosing.
UPDATED PLAYLISTS
This page shows you if any of the public playlists that you follow on Spotify have had any new songs added to them since the last time you checked. If so, then you can add those songs to a playlist of your choosing.
ARTISTS I FOLLOW
Generates a playlist consisting of a random selection of songs from the artists that you follow. This is a great way to hear forgotten songs or deep cuts from artists you love.
RELATED ARTISTS
Generates a playlist consisting of a random selection of songs from artists related to the artists that you follow. This is a great way to discover new artists.
COMBINE PLAYLISTS
Quickly export multiple playlists into a single playlist. This is a workaround for the feature that Spotify recently removed which allowed you to listen to multiple playlists at the same time.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This application is not a replacement for Spotify and it does not let you stream music from the Spotify library. Instead, it generates playlists for you based on your habits and configuration that you can then listen to using your Spotify player.

Great app to pair with spotify. Any artists you follow are searched to find out if their are any new releases and that is formed into a playlists. Has other features too, but that one is unbelivably smart and useful. Couldnt reccomend this any more than I would Spotify itself.

Great service now that notifications have gone from Spotify. I like that you also get notifications about releases where the artist you are following are featured. I gave it 4 stars because it is slightly buggy, but I assume that it will get better with future releases. It would be nice if one could actually see the tracklist of the release when clicking on it. Still, great app. I'm buying the license today.

This could be so much. For one, being able to pick which albums to add to the playlist of new releases instead of all of them. And so much more. Please improve upon this. UPDATE: 6-23 Cool thanks for listening! Also it would be great to be able to run the new releases scan more than once or twice per cycle. Hope that's possible. Btw awesome music taste judging by the screenshots!!

The combined playlist is a big deal since Spotify took that away from us. Looking for updates on playlists is nice. I was doing it with IF but this app looks at all of them at once instead of writing a recipe for each once.
