MLJ Sermons App for Android
Love this app. Love these sermons.
I second Dan Phillips' earlier comments. Also, it is impossible to listen to some of the series in chronological order. The sermon numbers are absent, and when searching by verse or passage, the messages come up out of order. This isn't the case with the mobile site. So you're probably better off using that at this point.
For those who are interested, you CAN download the sermons. You need a third party app. (I use ADM Pro myself, there's a free version and a paid version) Click on share within the MLJ app, link it to ADM, and you'll be switched to another screen. Scroll down, you'll see a download button, and presto.
The content and layout of this app are excellent. However, it really needs to support downloads for offline listening.
Thank GOD for Martin Lloyd Jones. An absolute remarkable app. I am so very happy with this app. I
Would prefer it to have download capabilities (bulk) and speed options for listening quicker. But hey, free stuff!
Excellent recordings and expose of the word!
All of his works
Great resource for the body of Christ
This low rating is solely a rating of the app, not the sermons. It is excellent that the MLJ Trust makes them available, FOR FREE!, and they are excellent sermons. Really, it's only my appreciation of MLJ and the Trust that brings two stars instead of one. The app does not allow downloading, and does not keep track of last-played. So if you're wanting to listen through a series, each time you come back you have to remember and retrace your way to exactly where you left off -- unlike (say) the Grace To You app. So listening through one of these wonderful series, unless you can sit down for a spare 147 hours or so straight through, is basically impossible, or at least impracticable.
The app is flawless
Would be great to download sermons. I'm sure this costs a lot of money so it's understandable. I would pay for this app if needed to adapt a download capability. However this does not take away from the high quality design. Thanks for the major improvements. God bless you for making this app available.
Good, but disappointed that the new app doesn't allow downloading of sermons for later listening. Missed opportunity.

I stream audio via Bluetooth to my car. When I turn the car off the MLJ Sermon app automatically switches to the phone's speaker. This behavior is 'different' than other apps. My experience with let's say Google Play Music when streaming via Bluetooth to the car audio is when the car is turned off the music stops streaming. Then when the car is started again the music resumes from where it stopped. The problem with switching to phone speaker automatically is now I have to manually stop playing when I exit the car and go inside a business or whatever. Not too much of an issue but more of a nuisance. [UPDATE] I jettisoned this app and instead of streaming I download the sermons via Chrome to to phone and use the Google Play Music app. Much better experience overall. Stops and resumes as desired. I just need to keep an eye on the download storage space.
