LedScope for color-blind for Android
Great idea, however, using old camera API, so for new phones, sensor connected upside down
Ideal for identifying colour of LED indicator lights. Wonderful!
Working out for me
Exactly what I needed
Worked for about 10 seconds. Then it crashed and I got a blank page. Nothing happened. Tried restarting, nothing happened.
What a perfect app for people like me who aren't completely color blind, but I can't recognizing my charger light status between RED and Green! This is actually designed for that, its programed to let you know exactly if charger light is green or still red. And all you ppl who gave low ratings and don't understand how it works, the camera cannot pickup exact shades of lighter colors in dim lighting! Thats why white is recognized as more of green! Obviously you need more light for camera to see!!!! Duh!
I've been waiting for something like this for 50 years! Thank you for designing and developing a great tool for those of us with color deficiency!
Grey and black are called "colorless". It was stuck on Blue for ages so everything was being called blue. Freezes often. Powers off screen after just a few seconds, contrary to phone settings. Not impressed!
I'm a monochromat and this helps me interface with people on a level I couldn't before.
Very nice app, using it to do water tests on my salt water aquarium.. Needs to use focus though.... Keep up the good work, it help my colorblindness out......Are you planning a paid version??
This is brilliant for people with colour blindness... just hope it doesn't lie sometimes making the person feel stupid..
Just what I wanted. Excellent little app for deciphering if my electronics have been charged. Thanks to the developer. Great job.
Was searching this app for so long. Thanks
Colours are totally off
I don't usually leave reviews for this but I felt I had to on this app. This is definitely a must have for all color blind people. No more asking any one "what color is that light"?
Helps identify led colours. Perfect
I am colorblind and I was hoping that Google Play would come out with an accurate app to help me and the thing is I would take the picture or the camera and put it against the nail polish and doesn't even tell me the right color I also tried putting it towards my pants it was telling me my pants was green and they're not they're blue either get rid of this app or make it 10 times better
I can only open it after i restart my phone for 1 time only, when i try to use it again it crashes along with the camera. I really like this app as i am a colourblind so please fix it as soon as possible
Wouldn't launch on Cyanogenmod.
The dress is blue and yellow according to this app. Very helpful.
Other tools tell you that denim pants are Storm Dust colored and the wood floor is Bourbon. This tool tells you that the pants are blue and the floor is orange. As a special favor, it can tell you if an led is red or green. I love you led scope. I wish you had a paid version so I could send you money.
Thank you so much for this app! I can't wait to give it a try next time at work when tech support asks "is the error LED green or yellow". Will update review once I've had a try.
Good but would like to see talkback support for blind users
I love it I can see colors now
Other apps in this category seem to be made by people who don't fully understand color blindness (those same people who always wonder how we deal with traffic signals etc) this app provides a simple usable interface that helps deal with the genuine problems faced by color blind people. The only improvement I could suggest is that the sampling window only shows the top third of the cameras field of view whilst the light is focused in the center causing significant brightness variation from top to bottom.
Awesome
Love it its the best
but no white balance option, the 'spot' is not precise, and it's not exactly free (after a year).
This picks up more colours with more accuracy than the few I have tried. This has the easy ability to turn your camera light on when needed, the problem I have is that it only stays on for 20 seconds before it freezes and has to be restarted. Im using Samsung Note 2. But this is very promising. I look forward to the next update.
I'm red/green cb and have a hard time distinguishing between indicator lights sometimes of the same colors, especially. The app perfectly, independently identifies the red and green light on my battery charger.
Someone I know is color blind, and has to ask people sometimes to tell between blue and green. This is a straightforward app that could really help him. I love the dial. That GUI element really makes the subtlety of colors easier to understand.
I can now tell when things are charged without asking someone else
Simple to use aid for colour blind folk like me.
Love it its the best
This application gives obvious and direct answer what color your smartphone sees. Dialog with this software does not need any explanations at all! Much more easier and much more effective that first listed apps. Try and compare yourself!
March 27, 2013 This app doesn't see all the color variations out there, nor does it pretend to. Many of the color assistive apps try to see all the colors and do so poorly of a job that you can never trust what color they tell you something is. This app is more limited in its scope, but works very well at what it does. Do you need to tell red from green from yellow? Do the LED lights all look the same color regardless of what color they actually are? If so, then this is the program for you. It does remarkably well at distinguishing the color of LED lights as well as limited colors in real life. Colors are tricky. No program that I have found yet was able to determine colors correctly in all circumstances. This program, however, is the most accurate I have found to date. The only drawback at the time is that the screen will timeout and go to sleep without the a program running in the background to keep it awake.
Awesome application :)
this is so stupid I put it against my wall that is aqua and it came up YELLOW , not worth it
Didn't work for me.

Awesome. I'm red green color blind. I'm in IT and need to know what color LED's are on computers. No longer have to ask someone else.
