Relax and Sleep

Before the updates it worked just fine. It still doesn't exit the app and there is no way of having it fade out and exit like before. I have used this app for many years and now i have to manually exit the app every time i use it. If this gets fixed i will bump up the stars but until then its only a 3 star for me now.

Edit to my original review. The app works great now. Thank you to the developer for your reply! This was a nice, simple app with great sounds. The new look and features are cool. However, now when playing multiple sounds, it randomly drops selected sounds. Please fix this. I rely on the sounds to filter out noise when trying to concentrate at work or read a book.

I have had this app for years, and it was great. Recent updates are terrible. The sound loops and skips and it's very jarring when you're trying to go to sleep. Also, I have to manually open the app and close it, which is annoying, and it is in the background if someone calls while it's playing. It used to automatically pause. I wish I could get the old version back.

Still "skips" bad on Galaxy S7. Update on 3/18: still skips really bad. Gap adjustment still has so effect. Please revert to the old version if so many people are having problems. Posting a link is not a solution. Back to five stars with the latest update, good job!

I've used this app for years but the most recent updates make it useless. It randomly stops playing at times, but the worst problem is most times it won't stop playing. Press pause, close the app - still have sound playing. I have to restart my phone. Unfortunately, it's time to find a new sound machine app.

I used to use this app all the time & it was great. I had given it 4 stars. Haven't need it in a long time until tonight while trying to sleep in a hotel. Whatever they changed since I've used it is awful!!! There are skips and breaks in every one. Very distracting when you're trying to turn your mind off and go to sleep. I'm uninstalling it and looking for another.

The latest update screwed this app up. It shuts off multiple times per night, or gives me an, "This app is running heavy tasks," and stops working. If this doesn't get fixed, I will be deleting and moving to another app. I used to love R&S because it was exactly what I needed. Now? It's almost useless. I gave it 2 stars instead if 1 because if the quality of the sounds, the numerous choices, and the playlist option for favorites.

Hate the new version. In addition to problems others have listed, I discovered this morning that, when you set an alarm and you have bluetooth earphones connected, the alarm plays on both the earphones and the phone speaker. My fellow passengers on the train were not happy about that. Also, on the "random" stopping of the app, mine tends to stop whenever I receive a text message. Hope that helps you track down the issue. The time set interface for the alarm is a pain. Much prefer the old one. Also, the alarm always plays a minute AFTER the time it is set for. And I much prefer the four-tone alarm sound of the old version. Needless to say, I very much want to go back to the old version. But, although the link you've been posting here for issues works, the link on that page to install the old app does NOT work.

Friend for years. Update a year ago or so introduced gaps in some sounds, but I have to give it a 5. Use it every day along with music or audio books to nap or focus.

Edit: i have had this app for years and have brought the pro but just do not like the new layout!! Its clumsy and ugly. It no longer fades out at the end of the timer and the mix up button has gone just dont like it... shame i recomend it alot. Please bring back to out layout!! Easy to use, good range and quolety of sounds. Had it for years and just keeps getting better!!

I love this app and have used it for years. Unfortunately the new version is a flop! I wish I could get the old one back! It now skips a lot and automatically shuts off after a few hours even if I don't have any timers set. Big bummer! Please fix these things!

Used to be the best app ever... Not any more. Pointless updates have broken all functionality of this. Often it stops working before the time runs out, get an error, heavy usage running in background. The interface is no where near as intuitive as it used to be. And as others of mentioned no longer fades out and exits, two things it used to do.

This app used to be so awesome. Now it's terrible. There are so many gaps, it's choppy and just irritates me defeating the purpose. And no, adjusting the "gap" does nothing. Thanks for ruining a fabulous app.

I have used this app for years and really love it but lately the app will suddenly close and stop playing. I wake up in the middle of the night and it's silent and I have to relaunch the app again.

My favorite part about the new version is the way it plays a notification to wake me up just as the sounds are starting to fade out. Thanks for that. This app used to be awesome, but this new version is bad and not very user friendly. Maybe I'll come back to it in a future update, but for now I'm uninstalling.

Was good - worked just fine then they had to mess it up. What used to take 10 seconds to do, set sounds and start timer, now requires scrolling through multiple pages which keep freezing. Best news of all, now if you put it on and then use any other app, this one quits. Looking for an alternative now. Thanks for screwing up a perfectly useable app!

Excellent at getting me to sleep, I have used this app for years. I suffer from insomnia and the brown noise or air conditioner set to the lowest I can hear, sends me to sleep so quickly. I'm glad they have released a fix for the loop length. It does crash a few times on me now

App has been freezing up recently. Sometimes this happens while I'm still choosing what to listen to. Other times, it will allow me to navigate and click on things but there is no sound until I restart the app. - Galaxy Note 4 running 4.4

Haven"t slept that well in ages. Small clock and brook combo and boom boom boom, out go the lights. I don't even notice city bus 15ft from my bedroom window. Using a clearance 7in tablet and bedrm tv soundbar. Audio is quite good. Nice work. UI is a bit ugly BUT LEAVE IT ALONE. There is so much on offer here I fear you will mess it up . . . thanx

Used to be one of the best. The new UI and option/timer screen is a not a good design, confusing when it doesn't need to be. Why invoke a notification after the fadeout from the sound timer?? It wakes you up with the default Android notification. There's many other things that really take away from the experience this app used to give. Would love to have the older version back. Simple and to the point.

Best sleep app on the market in terms of realistic and balanced samples. Easy to make a variety of combinations for different scenarios of both sleep and other forms of tantric exercise Edit: why does anyone care about the fade out? You should already be asleep!!!

I am still getting sound shut-offs. When it occurs, the background sound stops and the alarm does not "sound." The app still thinks that the alarm is playing. YouTube will not play nor will the touch screen confirmations. Restarting the app does not fix the sound problems; rebooting the device does. The app worked fine for a couple of weeks after the last update, then reverted again to dropped sounds. I like the new interface, but stopped relying on it for an alarm. I am using this on an old HP Touchpad running a stable ROM from XDA/CyanogenMod. I can provide more details if you wish. None of this occurred with the old app -- which worked perfectly.

I used to LOVE this app. But it's not so great after the "updates." The loops are terrible. Please fix. It's hard to sleep when sounds keep starting and stopping.

This used to be my favorite app for sleep sounds, but this seems to be one of those "if it's not broke don't fix it," type scenerio. A few of the sound selections especially the rain which were of my favorites now sound like white noise and run on a choppy 3 second loop, and the "rain out side a car," sounds just like camp fire but just louder. It seems like for that one you just regurgitated an older sound for a newer one. It just more distracting than relaxing now. To bad I really used to like this app. I might give it another try if they tweet those issues. Work more on the quality of the sounds and less on timers...

I use it every night and cannot sleep without it. If the frequent updates that seem to happen in the middle of the night could stop that would be great. The update cause the app to stop and then I wake up.

Love this app, use it every night. Only problem is it will randomly just turn off and is very abrupt. Can be frustrating.

A recent update vastly changed this app, some of the changes are good, however battery life is terrible. If I forget to close the app (hitting X in the taskbar drop-down) when I wake up it will kill my battery in 4 hours flat.

I use this app a lot and mostly love it, there is just one thing that is very frustrating. More than once, I have gone to load a favourite preset of sounds and I have accidentally deleted it instead! The 'load' and 'delete' options are right next to each other and easy to press by mistake. Then it doesn't even give you a prompt like "Are you sure you want to delete this preset?", to give you a chance, it just deletes it! If you could change that it would be fantastic. Thanks

I'm not sure what happened to this app...I rated it a 5 years ago, and now it's horrible. The loop time had been shortened tremendously. It's unfortunate, this used to be the best one out there. Please fix it.

Great app. Ability 2 combine sounds &set diff sound levels is excellent. Two issues: interface for editing sound profiles is cumbersome and unintuitive; some sound samples are too brief, thunder for example gets repetitive quickly.

Since the new update this app really has gone down hill. I been using it for the past 4-5 yrs with out any problems and now I dont like it and have started looking for something else.

New app is terrible. Timers don't work correctly. Often have timers set and active and they don't go off at the correct time. Please fix!

Its back to the old ways with new look....but it still cuts off sometimes after 3hrs ...still can't sleep without this app tried all the others and this one blocks out the hubby snoring thank you for the great app

Loved it before. Now after update, if the sounds don't lock up, I definitely hear a pause every 3 to 10 seconds. On older phpne. Now new phone the app works great. I did pay for it, but it has no record of it.

Lost all presets when I upgraded to the new version. Lame.

Love the simple but elegant interface with individual volume settings for a myriad of noises. App almost never crashes or skips, unlike many white noise apps I've tried.

Keeps freezing my phone. Problems with multiple sounds playing consistently. Sounds stuttering and cutting out. App is preventing phone from waking after being locked.

Used to be great but you really screwed it up. Audible gaps in a very short track.

Dont update it WTF with this app? Unresponsive and unnecessary menu make this simpl apps become very bad. So laggy and too complicated. Uninstall this

Used to lovvvee this app. Was my go to but now the looping on the sounds is short which causes a very noticeable glitch and it's annoying and keeps me awake.
