Mi Mover

Very handy tool. But need some i improvement. Move all data by default will make the receiver phone unstable. Try this: 1. Sign in to Google and mi account on new phone. 2. Make sure old phone cellular data is disable. Enable wifi but don't connect anywhere. Make sure new phone cellular data is on. 3. Open mi mover and connect both phone. 4. Move only non Google app and non xiaomi app to new phone. 5. Reconnect mi mover and this time move setting data from old phone. 6. Reboot new phone and observed all behavior while using the new phone . If new phone working correctly , continue to move other data (video, images, musics, docs)

After running for 4 hours, it got disconnected. Does not resume, instead have to restart all over. Totally a waste of time. Easier to manually back up to OTG drive and move the data. Moved photos no longer sites up in their respective album.

Totally disappointed - I tried to take backup from redmi note 3 to redmi A1 (new phone) unable to connect. I have chosen this mi brand just for this easy backup features. It just asking for Qrcode only recipient can generate barcode how can I connect...??? In mi A1 when app starting just simply ask for Qrcode waste of time.

The app directly starts scanning the QR code without even showing the recipient or sender option. It directly starts sending things to my old phone whereas I intend to transfer everything from my old phone to this new phone. Very disappointed with this app.

It's very good app, but it's only supports Xiaomi phone. Because I have just bought the Samsung note 8 and I've tried to move my information and data to my new Samsung using this app but it doesn't support other devices. So I've used the backup and it was a pain in the a** ????. Please this feature to this app in the next update and I'll give it 5 stars.

Tried to move everything from s7 to the mi6, took 11 hours and did not bring any of my sd card files. App needs work

Why it's not getting updated after Jan 2016 ? It's not working properly while I moved from mi 4i to Mi 5. Don't spoil this up by not updating it !

Doesn't do what it promises. It keeps on telling me to free space in order to transfer to new device. Both my devices are Mi . New one has more storage than the old one. I ended up deleting half my data. Still tells me to free 141MB. Disappointed!!!

I was skeptical at first but the app works well to help me transferring data from my Asus Zenfone 5 to my Redmi 4X. I didn't really have a problem.

Waste of time!!! Tried several times from a Lenovo vibe shot to a Redmi 4x but no go. It would've been great if it worked.

Found it misleading with no clear instructions. I could not generate QR code on my old non Xiaomi phone. Reading the reviews of others, can see that many have been struggling to use it. However later found out that I was supposed to scan the QR code on my NEW xiaomi phone. The transfer of sms messages and call logs and contacts worked after that. Have not tried transferring apps yet.

After testing up for two days now after dec 24th Xmas. I have unpacked my Mi5s 64gb 3gbram and damn it feels nice in my hand I got it from my wife shipped here o er to Sweden. But I try to get the apps from my non rooted OnePlus 1 to my new phone with this but I don't succeed, it changes networks and I tried a couple things. But I'm wondering is this to use from an Xiaomi phone to a new Xiaomi phone just? I got 720aps I need to get to the new phone. And another thing is there any screenprotector for mi5s?TY

Looks like a half cooked app. Hangs most of the time. You can never complete the transfer

Hi, I want to move my data from redmi note 4 to mi a1. When I install this on mi a1, I am not not getting an option of I am a receipant and not able to generate the qr code to scan from my note 4 to transfer the stuff. Please help

I love my Mi4i,i was so worried cause no any sharing app works on my phone, but now through my Mi mover, i can easily send or transfer it, now Mi is revolutionising the sharing app too

If it finishes the transfer it will be great but it really needs a bit of a step by step "what to expect". I had been doing the transfer for about 2.5 hours while it said "syncing" in black text in the centre of the screen, which I thought was normal but it was actually stuck! When working properly it does show the number of files being transferred on both phones so don't get caught like me. If it gets stuck on "syncing" rather restart the app. It doesn't explain that when it creates a wifi hotspot it will switch off wifi on the new phone. I was busy on the phone at the time and this stopped my other restore jobs. Another thing, if the wifi drops it should do what WhatsApp backup does and pause the job while you restore the connection. I landed up having to start all over again when my connection dropped for a split second. I hope I don't land up with duplicate/corrupt data due to having to restart the process. Nice app, just missing some key functions and info in my opinion.

Good for all mi devices except MI A1, no support to transfer data to mi A1. This app can't even generate QR code to scan and connect,. Developer please update .

It's totally waste app.i bought new Mi A1 mobile. And I am not able to connect it with my Redmi 4 .

I tried all means and unable to find mi mover at the given path I.e. settings and additional settings

I could not find I'm sender or I'm recipient button, click on start and it directly start the camera to scan the qr code.??? I mean really???

Such an awesome app! Got my 2 year old Redmi Note 4G onto the Mi Note 4 in half an hour! App data, everything! Did not transfer: -Bluetooth Pairing data -Wifi AP data -Homescreen widgets Everything else seems to have gotten onto the new phone. Good stuff, fix this though.

Unable to generate QR code on my new mi A1 so as to transfer data from my Redmi 3S prime...

I tried to move from moto x first generation to Mi Note 3. It started really smooth finished SMS,contact and device settings. It only got stuck just before completing app data and disconnected. Tried multiple times same issue.

It seemed really easy and I followed the steps. In around 40 mins all the sys data and apps were "transferred" from my old phone. Then the new phone's mi mover app has gone into a state of restoring which has been happening for over 5 hours now. I see that my messages and contacts and 3-4 apps from my old phone have been transferred but since the app does not display a percentage of progress, I'm confused as to what's going on. I'm going to leave it overnight and hope for the best.

This aap is a must when one changes his/her phone. Taking all the backup and transferring to the new one is a pain in the a**. Best thing about mover is it simply install all the apps into new phone within minutes. Restoring all the text and call history is just Cherry on the top. Good one Xiaomi! Cheers

I used this app to transfer data from my old phone mi 4i to new phone mi 5. After its completion I cant find those transferred data in my new phone.. the frustration is the app and 2 phones all belong to mi but still this problem. If anyone can't respond quickly to resolve this issue. I posted this on 17th July 2016.

Wanted to migrate from Hisense phone to Redmi 2. Devices got disconnected frequently which was frustrating; apps and data apparently transferred successfully but I couldn't find them on my new phone.

My old phone's camera is broken and so I can't use this app. Xiaomi please update with the flexibility to scan Qr code from any device.

Just hoping it can solve porting data from hongmi 1 to hongmi note 3, but it only could transfer my phone book and nothing else.

It's not working on my redmi note 3 when connect the old phone with my redmi note 3 data transfer starts smoothly but at the end it doesn't restore any backup or app from the old mobile

So far disappointed. The transfer stops abruptly. Connection terminated on its own. Some 5% data transferred

I don't even get to connect it with. As I don't find Mi mover tap option under the additional settings. I'm using Redmi 2 Prime Updated to MIUI 7. I have sent an email regarding this but no response till today. Thanks.

This app is able to transfer large data files of games etc, from one phone to another. When compared to other apps like Xender etc which transfers apk only, Mi Mover s very much helpful in this matter.

If the app worked completely fine first test run, I never made it worked to transfer all my apps. As many others stating here the app seems to run fine but at the very end of the transfer something get it hung and the complete transfer fails. I roughly lost 10 mins for each try just to end up with a new failure and I tried it many times... Clearing the data, reinstalling the movers on both phones... Ended up by giving up and do the app transfer manually. Thanks xiaomi for having wasted many hours in my life

Trying to transfer all data from my mi4i to redmi note 3. But this app crashes right at the time the process is about to start after the QR code scanning.

Doesn't work on my HTC One M8. Keeps getting stuck halfway at one of the apps. Cancelling takes a long time too.
