Misfit Cycling

I have a misfit ray and the misfit fitness app. I want to connect this to both of them. It is telling my my gmail email address, accepted by the other misfit app, is invalid. I don't want to connect this to Facebook. I can't sign in and I can't connect it to the other app. Fail.

I use the flash cycling device+app while taking spinning classes (elliptical bike). The readings are completely inaccurate, even the RPMs shows as negative!!

Do you ever plan on making this compatible with the shine? I thought the flash was just a more affordable shine so you'd think both would be compatible for it. And if really like to use mine for cycling.

It started off a little rough because it wasn't syncing properly, (ie. no data was being reported while cycling), but once I got all of the firmware updates everything went smooth. For those with the cycling edition of Flash, be sure that you are connected to WiFi when the firmware update pops up. It's a very important update. If you miss the update, uninstall, reinstall, and re-sync. The update should pop up again.

I had a lot of exchange emails with the customer service from Misfit, and I have no words to describe how lovely and constantly available they have been. The problem with this app is that I'm a cyclist, but not only that! I would simply love to be able to merge the data from the cycling app to the main Misfit app. C'mon guys, you allow data transfer on a third party like Strava and don't cooperate with your own kind? Put yourself and release this upgrade, please!!

Requires Android 5+ to work - my phone only has Android 4 and won't upgrade so will not connect to Flash. Gutted as I was looking forward to using the cycling features- in fact that's why I bought it but now I can only use it with the standard Misfit app - which works fine.

First positives. It tracks where you go via GPS, total mile count is accurate and speed is pretty accurate. Negatives: RPS doesn't show up at all and elevation gain failed hard. I climbed my usual 1k feet and it said 50ft. Not sure how useful this is when it's in my pocket the whole time. Doesn't sync with strava. Not sure what's the point of this app.

Too bad its only works for Misfit Flash. What i'm using is Shine.

I love my Misfit flash. I decided to update, at double the price, to the Cycling Misfit Flash. I can't even begin to express my disappointment in this Cycling app. It will not work. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 5. The first day, it recorded some of the millage. the app crashed and then ran for 8.8 hours in the background. I could not get an RPM on the display, nor any information at all during my cycling. Repeatedly the app crashed. The next day, I got absolutely nothing. I started the app then was careful not to touch the history icon, (it would crash), or any other icon. I just pushed the start button. It recorded nothing, but it didn't crash, till I stopped the app, and searched for my data, in the history, upon which the app crashed. I did manage to find out nothing was recorded for the second day's bike ride. I notice that there are several of the same complaints dating back from January of 2016. It is May now. Surely 4 months is enough time to fix the app so that it will work as advertised? When the app does work as advertised, I will change the star rating. I do not recommend purchasing the device since it is useless without a working App.

The misfit requires a cyclist edition, even though it is the exact same sensors and basically the same device as the standard flash just £30 more even though all the reviews state the standard tracks cycling. It doesn't!!

Update: After using this app with the flash cycling device, I give the app a thumbs down. It disconnects, randomly stops tracking, stops when being paused or even when stopping the bike ride for a couple of minutes. It connects well with Strava, but Strava is a pretty poor app itself. Make it compatible with other riding apps or at least fix the Misfit app. For now it's a no go.

The miles per hour and distance function do not work. Even if they did it is to small to safely read while cycling. I gave it 2 stars because the rpm seems accurate.

I am using Misfit 2 and getting ready to buy a Misfit Ray and I can't use the cycling because I won't buy a single Flash device??

At work atm. Is this genna work with the Flash?

Update: Today's (1/29) update has fixed the device's compatibility with my phone running 6.0. Thanks Misifit! The app works fine..a few extra items tracking the ride would be nice, such as average speed, auto pause...but nice work.

Won't connect my misfit flash to the app, using my samsung galaxy 5. Looks like a wonderful app if it would work! Disappointing as this is one of the main reasons I purchased my flash.

Nexus 6P - the purest Android phone you can get. Nothing. Nada. Strangely it does work with the main Misfit app though. Bluetooth in Discovery mode shows the device as 'Shine' although it is definitely the Flash Cyclist Edition. As this is the only reason I bought it, I am gravely disappointed.
