Point combines environment data to recognize loud noises and other events.

Point is for

Home-owners:
Point combines sound and sensor data to recognize events you care about. It can tell you if there is an alarm going of, if there is noise or about anything out of the ordinary.

Airbnb Hosts:
Point gives comfort without disturbing guest privacy. Get immediate notifications about loud noises and other issues—before your neighbours call to complain.

Point is a device that connects to Internet over Wi-Fi and notifies you about events in your home. It’s a softer approach to home security.

I bought 3 points 10 months ago and they have never worked

App keeps logging me out. I set temp to show as Fahrenheit, but it keeps changing back to Celsius. My phone has received over 100 "Loud Noise" notifications in 2 days. It was advertised as telling you much more detailed information than just Loud Noise. There's no way to hear what sound is causing the loud noise. From teting the device, I realize that there is also a significant delay between someone making a loud noise and the app notifying you of this loud noise. Hope to see lots of fixes and enhancements

After almost two hours of just trying to figure out what exactly is meant to be happening during the first time setup process, it has now installed. Absolutely hopeless troubleshooting instructions, either you have to troll through their forum or send them an email. What I actually had to do was hold down the device for a little longer than their video said here in the app. Mine turned on but the light looked red and indeed it was. If you hold it down for at least a few seconds, then it'll turn purple.
