Japanese Kanji Study - 漢字学習

This is by FAR the best app for kanji I have ever seen (and I have downloaded them all). It is 100% worth every penny. The creator has thought of everything. It does take quite a while to figure out all the features and how to use the app efficiently, but once you do and you realize how much effort has been put into creating it, and how many different methods it offers for learning kanji (Heisig, Kanji Kentei, Kanji Learners Course) you realize that this is gold for Japanese learners. I've studied Japanese for years and years and have never been able to fully keep momentum with kanji to take me to JLPTN1. I've always stalled after N2, but this app is crazy and I forsee it helping me continue on this JLPT journey.

In depth, detailed kanji study complete with kana reading, radicals, stroke order, the whole nine yards. I've used a lot of software in the last 11 years, but this is some of the finest quality software I've had the pleasure of owning. Plus it's mobile and how can you go wrong with a kanji supercomputer on your phone?!

This app is simple and easy to use. It offers you a bunch of options to learn Kanji and you can improve you Japanese by studying the example sentences. The stroke detection and order is a bit annoying however. Other than that it's a great app.

Such misfortune. I was going to upgrade this app then I messed up the payment and now I can't pay for it anymore. Huhu. Perhaps if they really dod show a good job in showing VAT, it would be appreciated.

Best app available for learning how to write kanji properly. I've avoided learning how to write kanji and just focused on visual recognition and reading knowledge, mainly because traditional kanji writing practice by hand is painfully difficult and boring. This app directs one towards correct stroke order and has a simple yet attractive style that keeps drawing you back to study just a little each day. After one month I have memorized how to write 100 basic kanji, and after this I upgraded as writing by hand is still very important in Japanese culture (whether in business or with personal letters). It truly is amazing to just be able to write characters from memory. No more double guessing or berating oneself because you forgot a simple character. Kudos to this app creator

I LOVE THIS APP! It's very useful and allows you to practice actually writing kanji/hiragana/katakana characters, unlike other apps that just show you the character and don't help you really remember it at all. This app has honestly helped me so much and I tell everyone in my Japanese class about it. Of course, as with everything you get out what you put in, and it won't help you if you're lazy and unwilling to learn. The only app I've found that will check your writing! Thank you for helping me excel in kanji :)

Easy and intuitive to use. Slick interface and nice design. I had no problem paying for the upgrade. I've paid way more for worse Japanese apps and I've tried and used at least a dozen.

This is a great app for reviewing and learning hiragana, katakana and kanji. It gives you a flashcard option to study, a quiz to review what you just learned and an option to learn hundreds of kanji with various meanings. Easy interface and to navigate. Highly recommended!!

I downloaded this app a few months ago without knowing anything, gotta admit I was completely lost... Came back a while after already being kinda able to read the Kana and I realized how amazing the app is. So much content and practice to be found here that the asking price actually seems super low.. I'll buy the full thing once I'm done with the basic kanji. Thanks for putting so much work into this. Update: opened the app and saw the announcement saying the price would be lowered for a limited time.. money well spent!! Can't wait to be overwhelmed and overjoyed with thousands of Kanji.. thanks!!

App is great if I could give this 6 stars I would.. Honestly you could charge a lot more for this but I'm glad it's only $10. Definitely worth more. I've paid a lot more for less content. Thanks for this app. Maybe add feature to search for words? Although the link to a dictionary is pretty fantastic.

For sure the best app for kanji study here, the $10 are reasonable with the quality of this app and the free version doesn't even have adds! Give it a try! :)

This app has really helped me. I like the "judge" exercise and would love an option to switch it so I am shown one symbol and can choose from a list of meanings (rather than seeing one meaning and choosing from a list of symbols). UPDATE: Dev added the above feature! This app is perfect. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

After a short time of playing with the app i knew it was worth keeping and paying for. Well organized. Intelligent use of phone features. Best Japanese writing system application I've used on any platform (PC, Nintendo DS, book and paper). Well integrated with established quality resources. Hope that finally I will be literate in a year or two.

Best kanji app I've come across. Clearly structured and lot's of settings for customisation. Upgrade well worth it and apparently discounted for a limited time now. Ofc a short time after I paid in full but since it's been a pleasure to use and I'm making great progress, no bitter feelz

An extremely useful app! I've been using it for almost two years and it's helped me to learn many characters by heart. Definitely a must try for anyone looking to write and read Japanese!

so far, the ui is well organized and this is a great one-stop-shop without having to download multiple flashcard decks etc. if I encounter problems I will update my review!

The upgrade price is worth it. This is by far the best kanji practice app out there. The writing feature adds an all new level of mastery/memorization. Much thanks to the developer!

It's amazing how this app has so much content for free, and even more for only $7. Easy to use and beautifully designed, I highly recommend you use this app

Id rate it 5* but you only give us 1st grade kanji id rate 5* if we could go up to 3rd grade without paying 10$

Only 80 Kanji for free? Maybe add another grade or two for free. I don't see anything special in this app that I can't get in another app for free except the Japanese names section is helpful. I'm not going to pay the asking price just to get a names reference app.

I am just at the trial version for know but it is a very good app so far. The quizzes are very helpful to memorize kanji and the explanations and examples really help too.

Please add a handwriting kanji recognition feature, because there is many kanji that has an irregular radicals that makes it hard to be searched.

Nicely laid out, and love how you can practice by drawing! Really great for learning the Hiragana and Katakana too!!! HIGHLY recommend. The upgraded version is amazing also!!

best kanji app i can find, if they had accompanying vocab flash cards kind of functionality this would be the perfect learning aid app

I really like the writing practice. After you finish each stroke it snaps into place giving you immediate feedback on what it should look like.

With it's easy to use reminder feature the simple flash card style of this app makes it incredibly easy to learn kanji and kana.

Intuitive and good value. It's been a couple months now and the more I use it the more use I keep getting out of it.

My favorite feature is the import of kanji from any website. I loaded the lyrics to a song into a study set.
