Psych Me Up!

The app does what you expect for those seeking a bit of cognitive bias modification, but is very very basic and could do with much more work. The session is very short. Things to add would include a daily completion tick, statistics showing response time and improvements, a UI overhaul. Not bury the 5mins/day recommendation in the small print, but rather have the session run for 5 minutes. Early days, with potential.

Used to work great a year back. Now it pops up an error 'application needs to restart'. Theres absolutely no way of exiting after that except restarting the phone, it pops up the same error infinitely. Even if you click continue or try to exit through the app manager it doesnt work. Fix please.

Please fix this on Android - Galaxy S7 Edge. App starts and starts flashing and disappearing alternately, and stops you doing anything else. When it worked on Apple it was 5 stars!

Goes black and sometimes says welcome to titanium. May be that it's just badly programmed but concerned may be spam, so not very good for distressing. (Also in quiz done covers question, I was able to move question around but again shows poor programming) Sorry uninstalling this app from Sony xperia z3 compact

It crashes first time opening evertime on my gs4 but opens immediately after on second attempt. Wow is it hard to find that smiler, but I seem to be improving. Doesnt seem to give me a score to see how I have improved. Is that only on paid version or have I missed something? Thanks.

The quiz as to your current state has buttons to press when you are done that obscure part of the answers, so you have to guess the questions. Some of them are just guesswork as a result. The variety of images is a little poor, so you can guarantee that some people will always be the smiling ones... But it still works, and I suspect it will do the job.

This app is now broken on my Nexus 5 & 7: it goes into a continuous error loop on startup, which can be ended only by rebooting the device.

For every quiz question the done button it's in the middle of the question; Please fix this. I still train almost daily and like to revisit the smile finding when frustrated. Silly yes, but very affective for me

Feb 2017: Installed but locking up my phone with constant restart splash page. Will be trying again when problem is resolved, but for now - Watch out! I escape with repeated Home button pushes (~20)

It made me smile and laugh a little. You just click on the smiling people. There's loading and layout problems. Can't imagine wanting to "play" this often... but I'll keep it for awhile. :)

It demands a restart of the app, then relaunches itself constantly until i restart my phone.

Does NOTHING else. Had the reboot just to uninstall. Awful.

I've only briefly tried. The done button covers the text of the question! This is true (android) whether the phone is horizontal or vertical.

The pics are FAR to repetitive to be of use. By my fourth train attempt I had unconsciously memorized all the happy faces and was flying through it. The whole idea of Cognitive Bias Modification is to be forced to find the happy face thus retrain your preset negative seeking reinforcements. However having so few happy faces negates all the work and becomes simply no more than a placebo.PLEASE ADD MUCH MORE NEW FACES!!

Seems to crash on exit. As somebody has noted the variety of faces are limited, you could add an option to crowd source expressions donated by users.

I want to love this app. Actually, I want to try CBM for myself. But sadly, on Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 5, the app gets into an endless loop of "Application needs to restart", to the point that I needed to restart the phone. I really hope that the app gets updated - it seems like such a good idea.

I could do the quiz, but the train button did nothing. I had to restart the phone to get it to work at all.

Was interested in this app but it keeps telling me it requires a restart of the app. It restarts and says the same thing again. This loop repeats over and over and I can't even exit the loop unless I restart the whole phone.

Nice little mood booster. After a few tries I don't even see the grumpy faces. Would give it 5 stars, but the "done" button interferes with reading the quiz questions.

Why is "done" button covering the questions in the quiz?

Uninstalling. The app "HappyFace" does the same thing much better and it's free. Thank you for the intention though!

It wouldn't open for a one. Secondly, a message saying it needed to restart kept popping up and froze my phone. I had to shutdown my phone and delete the app once I restarted it. I don't recommend this app at all. It doesn't deserve the single star.

Endless crash loop on nexus 10 with Android lollipop. Sometimes you have to reboot to kill it. On galaxy note 3 with kitkat it crashes on each first run. Guy's I'm a developer myself and this is unacceptable. Was there no testing at all?

This is the best cbt app for the good feeling it will be able to give you.
