ChefTap Recipes & Grocery List for Android
This is the only recipe app I use. I tell all my friends & family about it every chance I get. I love that you have added the Shopping List & Scale recipe features. Since I'm a single Senior Citizen the Scale feature allows me to scale any recipe down to two servings & freeze the second one to use later in the month.
Love this app! Anyone who enjoys cooking or baking should give this a try. Easy recipe archiving, eliminates paper clutter, and I can access my recipes while grocery shopping!
So easy to use. I use this app many times a week. It is not only convenient for finding and saving recipes but also for stopping at the grocer's for a few extra ingredients you may need on your way home from work.
It's pretty crap, but also probably the best you can get that's not EverNote. The UI is ugly, you have to manually sync, the clipping is mediocre the website is buggy, subscription is steep for all the shortcomings. We'll see how it develops over the next year
used to love this app. i can't sign in on the app, my free acct comes up on the website, but says i can't add anymore recipes, when i try to add recipes on the app, it says i need an acct, no more recipes, or i get an "authenticating" popup. FIX THIS ISSUE or i'm looking elsewhere. i have lost SO many recipes... great: i just deleted SOME recipes on the website, and ALL recipes are gone.
I liked many of the feature in this app. The recipe view was set-up exceptionally well and functioned nicely. The Grocery list did work, but it did create doubles of items if they were labeled differently. Not uncommon for these apps though. But it was cumbersome that in order to capture a recipe online you needed to copy and paste the URL. I liked the inventory but wanted it to be more modifiable. The Meal planner did not work for me personally, as I like a traditional calendar view that I can share, via calendar, excel, etc. I would also suggest creating a nutritional aspect to your recipe section as that is becoming more popular. However, ultimately, I deleted my account because I am looking for one app that can handle all of the those items on multiple platforms, eg. PC, Table, and Phone. It has potential! Just not for me at this time.
Loadup time can be annoying, but the recipe format is top notch and easy to read, the import feature will help you expand your recipe collection in no time, and the sync feature has helped me keep my recipes across three phones. Couldn't imagine life without Cheftap!
Lost the ability to scroll on a recipe after last update. I can see top of recipes (pic/ingredients) or can view bottom of recipe (end part of instructions) but can't scroll up/down to view complete recipe (end of ingredients/beginning of instructions). Used to love this app, now it is non functional.
Love this app...so handy to have all my recipes in one place! And be able to make a grocery list as I plan my meals...6 stars when the menu planner is done!!
Love Cheftap! Love that I can save recipes I find, add my own, scale a recipe for crowd cooking, and that it backs your recipes up.
I've used this for a long time, but it's definitely buggy and has issues that never seem to get better. Wrong pictures are constantly appearing for recipes, up to the point where I just gave up. I was told there were improvements being made over a year ago on this. Nothing. Also, do not trust the import, the imports are not clean and require editing most times. I am in search of a better app, with the requirement of Web and Android, which is the only reason I continue to use this right now. The web application does not appear to be maintained like the Android app.
As a Chef, this app is priceless tool for me! Home cooks will love this as well. Very useful and easy to learn!
I've been using this for years now. It has grown so well from just a recipe clipper to an all out processional app. Thank you
Top notch app. Served me well and my husband! This holds a name in our household... Thank you for the experience cheftap!!
Imported recipes from Pinterest on my phone and then went to use them for my tablet and the kitchen and it wouldn't sync unless I bought the pro version. So I tried to read import them from Pinterest and forgot how. Too much work. I want to try it before I pay for the pro version. You ought to be able to at least sync your first 15 or 20 recipes without having to pay for the pro version. Plus I'm not thrilled with having all the recipes on my device. I have a map tool that I can download the maps when I need them which I could do with recipes also
!y only complaint is that I have trouble syncing all of my devices. All of the recipes do not show up on all devices.
This is the best recipe app, ever! I only wish the pro version didn't cost so much :-(
Love that when I see something I want to save online I'm able to save effortlessly. No more scribbled notes on whatever I can find. So handy to keep all my recipes in one spot. Organization is easy as I can create multiple unique tags. And when I had a question the developer was quick to get back to me with a solution.
ANOTHER forced update and AGAIN I lost ALL my recipe pictures. Yet another major frustration for a dishonest company that wants to charge me a huge monthly fee to use their crappy app.
Don't know how I got along without this app! Keeps all my favorite recipes at my fingertips. I highly recommend Chef tap!
Good app, has to reload every single time it opens which slows me down and is why it doesn't get 5 stars...like it enough to upgrade, good value...very handy for importing recipes
Always carry my favorite recipes with me so, on a whim, I can stop by the store on the way home from work and pick up all the goodies I need to make something delicious!
Best recipe app out there! Easy to use, clip recipes, scale... And I love that in landscape mode the ingredients scroll separately from the instructions - such a helpful detail!
The only app that ill actually spend money on. Have the pro version. No limits. Love it
Great app! Super easy to use.
Use this all the time. Could not cook a lot of my favorite recipes without it.
Great and simple way to capture recipes off the Web and store them.
Easy to use, if you don't have a ton of recipes you can easily get by with the free version. The pay version is very cheap and sooo worth it though if you hoard recipes.
Perfect for pulling up my recipes wherever I am.
This app has allowed me to keep all my recipes in one place. No more ruffling through countless files/drawers for a recipe.
So easy to gather recipes that fit our personal eating plan, love that I can edit recipes with substitutions to meet our dietary restrictions
Never thought I could use it ...but it works a treat.
Love this app. Worth every penny
I tell everyone about ChefTap! How easy it is to use, how I can use it on multiple devices and how the recipes and grocery list work together. Love It
Awesome app, love how easy it is to download a recipe and modify it to different portions. Everybody that sees it is very impressed, highly recommend, well worth the money.
The best app for importing and sharing recipes from any web site, including blogs. So easy and seamless. Love it!
Great app! Store all my recipes here!
Love the ability to save recipes from many sources easily; especially straight off the internet no matter the format.
The best app out of the many that I have tried for clipping recipes from online or entering your own. Includes scaling so you can make more or less depending how many your cooking for.

The best app ever created. There is an annual fee which is well worth the app. I have all my recipes in my tablet which I carry everywhere with me. You can download recipes from the internet, edit them as desired, and even enter your own recipes. App has portion control so you can increase or decrease the size of your recipe. I have had to contact a service rep a few times and they would get back to me usually the same day. If you like to cook, this is a must have.
