Milwaukee® ONE-KEY™ for Android
At first I wasn't impressed. Didn't work well with Androids. After a recent update, the app and corresponding website are working good. I'm just about to give our shop the green light to buy the first batch of 100 ticks. I need to do a little more testing.
Edit: the problem I was having has been fixed, rapid turnaround! Reinstalled ; works better now. Latest update adds an annoying permanent notification that cannot be disabled and apparently runs all the time, with negative effect on battery life. Uninstalled.
The app is buggy, and the feature is about useless. No matter what I set, by drill has glitchy torque control and makes using it as a drywall driver useless. The electric torque control in the 2706 hammer drill is purely useless. I Should have stayed with Makita.
I really want to give this app 5 stars...And the only thing holding me back is the incomplete product database. I use this app primarily to keep track of what I have already purchased and many items that I try to find by putting in their item number, comes back with no results. Milwaukee, from a huge fan of your tools...please update your product database!
Love my Milwaukee tools and with the one key they are even better. Only thing I could ask for is GPS built in on the batteries . They seem to grow legs
I only use this to keep track of my tools and their serial numbers, and it works great for that. However it'd be nice if it'd group all tools in the same category under the same heading instead of splitting the M12 and M18 under their own headings. It groups all batteries together, just not the tools.
App functions much better now after resent update however still crashes in one key tool control occasionally. Keep it up Milwaukee. You will have an excellent system with more advancement.
I bought the tick tracker thing at home depot and set it up on my phone. Recently my main tool bag was stolen and I spent nearly 1000 bucks replacing everything in it. Merry Xmas, right? So the idea of being able to track my tools was very appealing. After setting this thing up, I couldn't even log into my account right away. So now 2 days later I open the app and it pops up. I'm stoked. So I go to track my tool and it says last seen yesterday, even though it's 10 feet away from me, and it says it's about a mile away... here's the kicker, it hasn't moved 50 feet since I installed the tick and further more, it had never been to or by that location. At this point I'm pretty sure I just wasted 30 bucks and my time. Hope this helps anybody considering this product for theft recovery. Don't bother.
App works great. Not a big follower of one key but it works. Just have the impact driver and hammer drill/driver currently.
This app is precise on location and is very easy to follow and use, which makes it the perfect app for any man trying to prevent loss of his tools.
Just bought a brand new $300 high torque impact wrench, with a 20% markup for One Key functionality, and the app starts generating error messages as soon as I try to adjust the tool settings. Just clicking on the mode presets repeatedly displays a message that the previous profile was unable to be written successfully, and I haven't even hit "save" yet! I'm a professional software developer and own nearly a dozen Milwaukee tools and I have to say, the tools are great, but the software QA is really poor. Take the extra One Key profits and invest them into your development team, please! Definitely wouldn't recommend that anyone spend the extra money on the One Key functionality at this time. *Edit 12/13 @Milwaukee Tool: Really, you're having trouble reproducing it? I just spent an hour yesterday playing around with the tool (2863-20). Switching tool settings is laggy, has no progress display, and throws an error any time the trigger is pressed while making adjustments. If you had bothered to test this tool with the app at all, the constant error messages would be extremely obvious. I will email when I get a chance, however, since you cannot put the effort into testing it yourself.
Works awesome I only had one problem so I stated it and they emailed me and updated the app the next day.
Its Awesome to be able to keep up with your tools ... great technology it's the best cordless set I've ever owned..
Finally an app that works as designed. Stores my inventory and lets me quickly find service, advice or research. Well supported also.
Love how you can access your seirl numbers, If your tool gets stolen.
Whenever I try to check for updates through the app it exits out. I've already tried reinstalling.
Update fixed within hours. Keep up the good work.
Got the tick its never worked right
Regular updates are improving this app!
Waste of money!!
Good app tool organization
Very useful and easy to use
Absolute game changer
Live it
It's cool
very reliable
Easy as hell
Just spent a hundred dollars on four Ticks and the app doesn't do what it's supposed to. Can't change the manufacturer or thumbnail pic of what I'm trying to track. Doesn't show nearby devices when they're right beside me. And it always searching in my notification bar. Buggy. Buggy. Buggy. Garbage app.
Overall, works pretty well. It's been searching for nearby devices in my notification bar since the latest update. Can't get it to go away.
I love the ability to customize my settings and I like the fact that I can find my tools!
Blutooth turn on automatically and drains phone battery, location updates seem useless if stolen tools aren't within BT range? Like the customization option of RPMs, ramp ups and kick back. That is the selling point, not the poor "tracking."
I have 6 Milwaukee tools, 2 are one key. Could have saved $200 as what is the point of a 100 foot radius when some one steals your tools? Also, Bluetooth keeps popping on and now I got a jobsite radio and I cannot add a photo or the item for some storage issue that keeps poppi ng up. I have a 32gb card, what is the problem. For the money, these stupid problems should be fixed immediately. Milwaukee used to be way better than this. What happened?!
Just recently had my tools stolen from my truck.. Had my Milwaukee grinder, Milwaukee 1 inch sds rotary hammer drill, my 6 1/2 Milwaukee circular saw, my Milwaukee jobsite radio, my Milwaukee one key sawzall and had just bought a one key m18 drill set... My one key sawzall is the only tool that i had activated in the app... All of this tools that are from the m18 line, were the best things that i had.. Work hard for my tool and in a matter of seconds you have nothing... I tried tracking my sawzall through the app, but no luck, it really bummed me out.. I really hope you guys fix this app, so all Milwaukee one key user feel safe with there tools...
Please fix a bug in the app ever since the last update, my Bluetooth keeps turning on by itself or when WiFi is turned on. I enjoy using the app to track my tools and will revise my review when this bug gets fixed, many other users are experiencing this
Needs more work on the gps location/tracking takes too long to update the ubication on my opinion every 10,15 minutes will be great to ensure if somebody stole your tool's you're gonna be able to catch them quickly
Been trying to figure out why my Bluetooth keep turning on randomly and draining my battery for over the last month. Finally at 5am this morning figured it out. I thought Milwaukee was better then this garbage.
If I am within 100' of my tools the chance of theft is 0. A GPS device in the battery would be a better solution to tracking tools.
App sometomes has a hard time syncing to the tools and the location isn't always super accurate. But over all great 5 stars.
One key is alright, it's a great concept but really it's just pointless. Also, app forces my phones Bluetooth to stay on even after I turn it off multiple times. Drains battery...

Impressed! Opens a lot of possibilities for managing inventory and configuring tools for special jobs. Tends to crash every once in a while on my Pixel 2 though. What about managing batteries too? Number of cycles, actual charged capacity, etc. Would be super helpful.
