About DisplaySpecs
DisplaySpecs is a tool to find out what the specifications are of a display of a specific device.
It can be used to, for example, see which resource folders are used when running an app on a specific device.
Resources that can be identified:
- Screen size (small / normal / large / xlarge)
- Screen aspect (long / notlong)
- Screen orientation (port / land)
- UI mode (car / desk / television / appliance)
- Night mode (night / notnight)
- Screen pixel density (ldpi / mdpi / hdpi / xhdpi / xxhdpi / nodpi / tvdpi)
- Touchscreen type (notouch / finger)
- Keyboard availability (keysexposed / keyshidden / keyssoft)
- Primary text input method (nokeys / qwerty / 12key)
- Navigation key availability (navexposed / navhidden)
- Primary non-touch navigation method (nonav / dpad / trackball / wheel)
Display Metrics:
- Width (px)
- Height (px)
- Density
- Scaled Density
- DPI Density
- DPI in X and Y direction
Build:
- Boardname
- Bootloader number
- Brand/carrier
