This little app mutes all sounds on the device with a single button press. There are lots of good volume control applications on the market, but we wanted to be able to mute/unmute the device with a single touch. It will also allow adjusting individual streams if needed.

Finally a quick and easy way to mute not just calls, but also media! But it is VERY annoying that the controls vanish almost instantly if you don't touch them. This has me accidentally changing volumes I don't want to change, because I can't process visual information as quickly as you have to for this, so I end up just touching anywhere in desperation. It should wait several seconds at least! Also, it won't silence my camera, but I haven't found anything at all that can yet (Android 4.1.2).
