Office Remote for Android for Android
I don't know what the problem was the first time I tried to use it (I had managed to pair the devices, but they just didn't connect). It's working perfectly now, though. Great app! Brilliant for presentations, 'cause you can see your notes and the next slide. The embedded timer is quite handy too.
Love the program Few improvements that will make this the best app worthy of 5 stars, even one I'm willing to pay for 1. Resize slides (not everybody uses the note's function, most of the time they put everything on the slides) 2. use wifi connection.. as bluetooth in a hall with a crown full of people over a larger distance is just too slow or weak 3. landscape view for tablets (16:9 slide would fit perfectly in landscape view)
I was able to use it for a few days, it was working alright but it would not work with forms (buttons) that has hyperlink to other slides. Then it stopped working. Everytime I launch it and try to connect to my presentation in my laptop it closes.. please fix because I really think this will be a great help to facilitators/trainera like me.
Looked promising but for about 1/3 of my 'clicks' slides take 10-20s to change (even using mouse or keyboard). Press multiple times and you zoom forward several steps. No problem when this isn't running. Unusable for presentations, at least with my Surface 3 and Sony Z3.
Connection went smoothly between both phone & tablet to PC. The only drawback is absence of slide notes. Is this a Windows 10 issue perhaps? I didnt know of this potentially wonderful app whilst still using Windows 8.1. My phone and tablet are both Samsung.
Too slow with Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Samsung Galaxy S7. Also when using resume summary features on PowerPoint they aren't clickable on the remote so the presentation structure is bypassed. Try again Microsoft, please test it properly next time
Fairly good, but there are some missing things. Firstly, speaker notes ignore bullet points, and possibly any formatting. Secondly, the timer starts automatically and it's impossible to just reset it. Lastly, it would be nice if it were possible to set time markers for different slides, like checkpoints.
Absolutely fantastic! I've ditched my Bluetooth presenter remote for this app, it is that good. The benefit of this app is that you can see the slide on your phone screen whilst presenting, so there's no need to look around or at your laptop, you can even view the next slide, and it has a laser pointer function! Brilliant! It would be even better if the slide display was slightly larger though. Thank you Microsoft.
It has some lags when switching slides but I'm sure you can fix this issue. You're Microsoft after all. *Probably using direct WiFi connection between devices instead of Bluetooth connection would improve the performance.
I've made many people in our organisation pick this up (poor Logitech, sales of their USB presenter remotes will take a dive). Would love to see a WiFi option as Bluetooth has been finicky for me (I can see how using network could be problematic though). On an easier note, adding W and B functionality for PowerPoint would be great.
Great app but the features could definitely be refined much more. For example sometimes the slides take too long to show up on my phone. I don't see any of the animation on my phone, just a jpeg image. Would like to have the advanced button take up way less room. At least give me the option to determine how big I want the advance button. I would like to see a slim interface, possibly more material design.
This is an example of how powerful an app could become. It has done everything I need to do with presentation pointer. Even more with some features like the ability to jump to any slide without scrolling through consecutive pages. Microsoft, please remove country restrictions for this app. One more thing it would be a lot flexible if it works with personal hotspot in addition to Bluetooth

I love the app. It does what it stated. However, when trying to connect to the PC, there are additional steps that are not mentioned anywhere. You may find your PC on the app, but before you connect to it, on the PC you should open the MS office file and click on Office Remote Tab. THEN you can click on the PC on your phone. Otherwise, it prompts you to enable Bluetooth on the Phone and PC and pair. Even if you have done all this before, it just keeps saying that. Secondly, especially when presenting a Power Point Presentation, it would be helpful to have a button on the app, that throws a laser beam or something from the phone to the screen like a laser pointer, without having to install another app and switching between apps. Technically speaking this app deserves at least a 3 or 4 stars, but I am giving it only 1 star as I have seen that only 1 star ratings get the authors' attention. Once Microsoft addresses these, I will promise to give it the 5 stars that it rightly deserves.
A direct WiFi connection option would be a welcome addition. This should guarantee a faster and more stable connection. Screen writing (annotation) support in PowerPoint could also come in handy on the tablet version. Please consider including these features.
Needs a few interface improvements but glad to finally have it. The left and right buttons could be refined so that they're not so 'in your face'. The laser pointer could be a little less cartoony. Some material design animations would be useful to make the app feel more responsive. The next slide preview needs to change a little... I just don't think you've got the best solution to the problem.
I was impressed by its functions and wanted to use it in my final presentation but IT DID NOT WORK AT THE FINEST HOUR! Even though it could be my laptop giving problems too. So to be fair, this gets this rating.

The first few times this worked flawlessly; just what I needed for the office. However, now the add on extension doesn't work. Uninstall, reinstall and it works once. Just once. What was a trainer's dream is now a nightmare. Naturally, after we invested in hardware specifically for its use.
It takes as long as ten seconds to advance to the next slide during a ppt presentation. Completely ineffective. Droid Turbo & Surface Pro 4 Core M3 UPDATE tried on home wi-fi instead of work wi-fi and worked well except would not play the video media which was advertised.
It seems an email to install computer component and link is invalid. Searching leads me to believe this is no longer supported/available. Even download link on Microsoft site sends me to invalid url.
I had tried out this app via my friend's Lenovo A3300 tablet, and it is absolutely fantastic to use. Later, I installed it onto my Lenovo A680. Sadly, I could never establish the remote connection between that phone and my laptop despite the fact that those two devices had been paired successfully without any problem whatsoever. :'(
This is an excellent app. I liked it very much. I'm giving 4 stars for want of Wifi connectivity option. My laptop does not have Bluetooth connectivity. Hence am inconvenienced a little.
It didn't work for me at the begining till I found out that my Antivirus/firewall on my PC was just causing the problem! Now it works just as promised!
I was so pumped when I saw this was out. I had been using a third party app that was ok, but I was interests in using the MS approved version. It looks great and seems to have all the functionality I want... Except it is unusably slow. Most slides take 10 - 15 seconds to switch (even when I'm only a foot away from the computer). So close. Fix the speed and I'll be tight there again. Until that time is of no use to me.
great app, missing only reset / manual start of the timer and an option to black the screen. However, after the first presentation which worked well, it now fails to connect via Bluetooth.
I was super excited when I found out this app existed and just in time for my thesis defense. It appears the power point presentations run much smoother on the phone. I initially had this installed on my tablet (Samsumg Galaxy Tab S) since it had the bigger screen to see my notes and slides, but the transition was too slow from one slide to the next. The within slides animations worked fine once the slide loaded, however. I wasn't happy with the delay so I put the app on my phone and it's significantly better.
Work well and very practical for my mentor class, thanks Great work. Originally I got some problem with intalling Microsoft Office Remote PC for my desktop. Installation process freeze at "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5" error: 0x80072f76 After downloaded, It appear on my office
Every time i try to connect it tells me to turn on blutooth and remote and im connected with my pc by blutooth and turning it on but always same problem . Plz help since i have a conferance after 2 weeks and i want it to be perfect
Overall this is very good and usefull software. But still need a lot of improvement, my laser pointer have delay a second it's not fatal but a bit irritating.. And please make more function available.. Thank you devs
First, I see invalid criticisms below. "Doesn't work on Mac" - it specifiably says Office 2013, not Office For Mac. Different products. "Doesn't work on Office 2010" - of course it doesn't. 2010 didn't support anything like this. The only real issue I encountered is that the pointer doesn't show up on 99% of projectors. Shows fine on the monitor, doesn't when you mirror to projector. I believe it's a resolution issue with 1024 projectors.
Works great with standard presentations. I created a custom slide show of a presentation and when ever I try to use Office Remote to try and advance slides, Power Point 2013 crashes. Would be 5 stars if Custom Slide shows worked.
On Power Point, the laser pointer can point only limited areas of the slides, which is a rectangular covering stacked to the bottom left corner. The resolution of the screen is 1920*1080 and the resolution of my phone is 1080*1920, and the pointer send to stop at the point 1080 pixels horizontally away from the left edge of the screen.
When i open presentation in pc, and i use the remote, the preview in the android is very small and loaded too slow. Word is just blank page in android although in the pc moves. Hope it fixed soon, overall this is great.
Pairing a Surface Pro 3 and a Samsung Galaxy S7 was not a success. I had no problems connecting, but the app simply isn't responsive enough with PowerPoint 2016. It switched between working perfectly and lagging for 10-15 seconds before advancing to the next slide. Sometimes the controls would stop working when I had slide notes. I'll stick to using a regular clicker for now.
Worked 2xs then "cant connect to (mymycomputername" on cell phone. Both pc and phone were paired and connected. Deleted pc from phone...re-paired to no avil. Yes, office files have "office remote" tap and turned on....Wasted too much time. gave up and deleted it
For some reason, it won't play any media files on my presentation. I have videos on some of the pages, but when I use this app, the videos become simply thumbnails. Unable to play them...
I love this app. But there's some glitches sometimes like the pointer lags a lot and sometimes doesn't change any slides. So I've to disconnect and reconnect. But only sometimes. Most of the time it's
Is there any way to simulate mouse click on the slide? My slides have many action buttons to navigate to other slides but I am unable to click on them.

Skeptical at first, then my mind was blown away at how easy and useful it is!! The startup guide from the app was easy to follow. Some may argue "I can't draw lines", don't care. The pinter is GREAT and ability to force PowerPoint to the foreground remotely is so helpful. For more precision I use my SPen. Thanks for keeping it simple, and thank you for making this!
