Lync 2010 for Android
How do you make a program called "Lync", and not make it sync across all devices? This is the number 1 feature I think anyone would expect given it's called "Lync". There is absolutely no logic or benefit for a user to have the program implemented this way, and actual makes Lync more of a hassle!
The app will only connect to the server sporadically so it's basically useless. I realize that Microsoft has moved on the Skype for business but my company doesn't support that app yet. They need to fix the problems with this app as long as corporations are still using it.
Earlier I m able to login ths app with my Redmi 3s bt last two days it showing continously can't connect.. So frustrating... If anybody know reason tell wats d problem
A steaming pile of garbage. My work forces this app yet it never works. Can only sign in 1 out 10 attempts and am signed back out minutes later. Used to be bullet proof always stayed signed in. Keep hoping for an update but after 3 months of worthlessness just deleting. Pita
This get frequently logout every now and then. This is really a big trouble when we are on chat. Also, message don't delivery when internet connectivity goes down.
In inspite of having corprorate account application do not work oover my mobile.. pl make it compatible with LG mobile also... so that this nice app can be used over mobile....
Can't sign in on Samsung S7 as the 'more details'/'advanced options' tab isn't visible on the sign-in screen like it is with other devices (bottom right). Sure it works great but can't sign in at all so therefore useless.
It'd be nice if I could change a few more options - selecting a notification sound, for example (to differentiate it from Android system notifications and other running applications) would be nice. Access to at least SOME of the options available in the desktop version (such as auto-start at login, picture display) would also be useful. Works reasonably well and provided the desired core functionality.
It looks like all the menu options have been lost in the latest upgrade (not sure if that's Lync, Android, or Samsung upgrade). The ability to search for people who are not pinned is gone because the menu is missing. Tried to uninstall and reinstall, now don't have access to advanced settings to set up the server so now it doesn't work at all. Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge, Verizon, Android Marshmallow (6.0.1)
I really like the app, with sending and receiving messages when not at my desk. It saves me from having to have colleagues' mobile numbers to text. But I don't see how much more usefull this app will be until it synchs conversations between deviced, i.e., your phone and your business PC.
I've seen a lot of people complaining that this isn't offered on iphone. Samsung is a Microsoft BASED programming system and apple doesn't always support Microsoft softwares, unfortunately this is one of them but this works exactly as described and it work for my samsung, pc, tablet, everything it's supposed. Good work Microsoft on the perfect softwares!
Please note that you can not have a punctuation mark in your pwd or the login will not work. Discovering this ad the problem was like finding a needle in a haystack. Changed password and all working now. UPDATE: I can no longer just click my meeting lync and connect. Not sure on what end the problem lies, but it used to work
The app works fine, for me, just few poibts: 1. It shows inactive very often, no options to change tiemout period. 2. Shows "On Mobile" next to my name to other users . Dont need that
I use a lync on PC on my daily basis. No issues with my account. But it doesn't work here at all. Sor far worked 2 or 3 times when I signed in within 5 month. CAN ANYBODY MAKE IT TO WORK?
The app works fine most of the time, however: a) It doesn't remember my login so each time I log out, I have to retype my login name and password. b) The app will lose connection and not reconnect. When this happens, i have to logout and log back in. I can't rely on it to work all day in the background and constantly have to check to make sure it's still connected.
I've been using Lync since they launched on Android. Happy to say that it is getting better. The login issues are fixed and it is much more stable. Now if they can let the app install on Android tablets I would bump up the rating even more (iPad gets Lync, show us Droids the same love)!
I can't use it on my tab (note 10.1)since it doesn't seem to be compatible, even though it works with my mobile (note 2). Both are running the same version of Android, and the tab has comparable hardware if not superior. I can't even use lync 2013 on my tab since it is not backward compatible. To be fair it has a nice and clean interface for mobile, but it doesn't seem to support multiple devices. So if you were chatting on your mobile device you can't continue it on another device. Needs to catch up with times.
Signed in.. no probs.. but then couldn't sign out.. Web site said there's a menu button with sign out displayed but for the life of me I can't see it.. neither can I see it in the sample pics! Will now have to uninstall
Does the job of sending/receiving messages OK. UI seems to be from Android 2.3 era, in case of a bad cellular/wifi connection has trouble reconnecting. Requires special support on the Lync server. Does not work with tablets.
I need it so I am forced to use it...... Very basic, you can't add contacts, chats remain on the app only. My biggest problem is how in the H€LL do you cut it off...... Surely not going to app settings and selecting force shutdown. Developers stop being lazy and make it great or perhaps we should all use Skype for Biz instead.
Very basic app so far. Loses a star because it often gets stuck disconnected or trying to connect. To get past that I have to sign out and log back in. Just tried the webex app. Really puts this one to shame. Also, at least with Nexus 5, will fail to send a message containing any emoticon. Not updated in a long time, but new version isn't supported at my work.
because of menu/option button not visible on the screen. Found some info on Microsoft page that patches needed, and reference to play market (( how to solve? Workaround described on support page didn't work!
So disappointed! Just made the leap from apple to android. This is a work app that works fine on all of the apple devices and is going to be the reason that I cannot keep Android. It's a must have for my job as i do a lot of travelling
Please either disable the automatic status change to idle/away or give us settings to change the away timeout or something! It changes to yellow within minutes of not being in the app!!

Right now I use this app once in a while and was disappointed to find that there's no search field to search for new contacts in my organization. I'm using Note 4.
Unable to sign in....I've tried contacting support to no avail. Bad customer support. This app was supposed to help our project that teams collaborate and work better together...so far. Nothing!
In inspite of having corprorate account application do not work oover my mobile.. pl make it compatible with LG mobile also... so that this nice app can be used over mobile....
It does not work for Xperia Z2, always have same problem of check network settings or user name password... Guys please correct it..
I can chat with colleagues, so that's a plus. But I have some significant issues with this app: chats aren't saved to conversation history in Exchange, chat sessions are sticky (meaning if you start a chat on PC, it's not possible to seamlessly pick up that chat on Android), no searching of logs, no "mark all as read" in history.
A short list: auto discover doesn't work correctly, no contact sorting, no hide offline contact options, no exit option, no custom sound options, cannot organize contacts in groups or create groups. Please, MS, either fix this thing or make 2013 backward compatible.
The app is very much error prone constantly. The login session doesn't last longer. Lot of improvements required for a better rating
I am not able to search the any of my colleague. I need it that's why i installed it. it works fine on 5 inch screen cell phone. Please do a proper testing before launching a app. it needs a lot of improvement.
Hello team I really like this app it's been very use full for me. But since I bought a Galaxy S5 active, can't search for contacts on the app. Ones I sign in, the app don't have a search contact option is killing me!!. Now is worthless can't really use it any more. Need help I would like to continue on using this app. Thank you. Please response! ! Good day team..
I cannot describe further more on this. My organization supports lync 2010. Not able to connect it cause no options found
Since there is no options possible (domain/user Def.) I have no way to connect to lync on any of my android devices. It is a pity since on apple ios no problem... Please fix it!
My office uses lync 2015. But this does not synchronise the chats done via phone when you a not at ur desk with dat done on the office laptop. Also there's no button to help with searching for contacts in my office domain. This is a great flaw. Pls deal with this as it's frustrating.
Wanted to use work Lync 2013 through this app but cant login.
I can't sign-in due to server error or/and email pass wrong
