Journeys & Notes

I can't wait for this to really take off... I travel three hours a day for work, often seeing the same vehicles coming up and down the same old highway, it'll be a great treat to come across a note pinned at the intersection where the signs are always bent a week after replacing them stating simply "I did that" Or... buy a new ranch to find that the other side of the field is where someone once learned how not to ride a horse. . Good times.

Downloaded, but have not used - there really is no good description of what it does or who can see your trip (or details of it - would I really want people to know the time I leave home?). If it had an actual anout section that gave that information, I would probably delve into it more.

Trialling this to see if there are any notes by others around me.. Needs metric units and ability to migrate the journey history to another device.

Dude , seriously. This app shows up that it is a Microsoft garage project, what's wrong with you. Okay the main reasons for getting disappointed. 1. Not a good user interface in the app. 2.no options of adding, modifying the journeys. Not a option to add a picture. (How sick is that). 3.not feeling interested while operating the app. I AM NOT DISCOURAGING THIS APP. THIS APP CAN DO MORE THINGS, I YOU REDESIGN IT. SO PLEASE. MAKE A GOOD IDEA AND MAKE IT DONE. THANK YOU.

I'm not sure yet how useful it is, but it is pretty cute and fun, and I could see if it had more sharing options and a "feed" of sorts where you could follow the journeys of others that it would be really fun. My complaints are only as follows: (1) I like the random username generation, but I wish it could be re-randomized for different options; (2) no option to delete a current journe; (3) settings menu including the option to share via social networks.

Would like to be able to edit journeys as well as change distance units. I don't work in miles in Australia

Ugly, can't change your name, no settings (obvious) doesn't sync to your Microsoft account, can't edit journey if you're made a mistake

I'm really not too certain what to think about this app, it meets some niche I'm sure but it doesn't particularly meet any needs for my use.

Ok yes I have a bit of an old phone. An LG Marquee. Now if this app wasn't compatible with my phone, you'd think it would tell me but no. Everytime I've tried to open the app it would just be nothing but blackness...this thing sucks!

i want to be able to delete a journey and review the notes I've made..... bc right now, i have to log in another journey to see my notes and it looks so messy now.

Pls add these functionalities. Have to add another same journey just to add notes.

Great concept! Just hope everyone catches on because this app has so much potential! Great way to discover and connect!

So, I've been using this app through a trip overseas for a week now in addition to more mundane use while at home. It does what it says on the in, and it's well made and easy to fire up, put in your trip, and toss up a note or three. I'm very impressed with the UI and function, as well as the concept. My only thought so far: does it aggregate similar routes? I'm not expecting to run across any other users where I am, so the fact I'm a trailblazer is unsurprising, this is just curiosity for future use. If it doesn't do that, it seems like a decent additional function, if it's possible. Definitely a good app, and I hope more people use it so I get to see some notes from others!

Kind of a fun application. It's simple and takes about zero time to learn and understand.This if the stuff a fun trip could be made of! Install it then get out there for an adventure to somewhere, anywhere--log your trip and share your fun. This is the missing piece that Google should have put into Field Trip. Good job Microsoft!

Kind of a false review. Have not used yet. Taking it on a road/camping trip this weekend. Looking forward to using it.

I loved this app. I found it was a very interesting great way to bond and meet new people. It was really strange suddenly realizing and seeing this young stranger sharing my same paths, my same ways, learning from each others tips and secrets. It's people you see everyday but don't realize that you share so much with them. LOVED IT!

Had a loading issue. Was fixed in hours and developer reached out to let me know.

Stuck on loading... I wonder if there is another component that should have been on my phone first. I also have a trip coming up that I would like to use this on. Fix it and I will up my review. (Edit)They have updated the app so no more stuck on loading. It is a fairly simple app where you can specify a start and a destination and add notes as you go. Word from an inside source tells me that this is the first iteration and they want to see what people do with it. Then they will modify depending on what they see. I want photos and waypoints and eventually round trips ( that is what I want to start with).
