Microsoft Ignite

This application, in its current state, is unusable. When logging in with my Microsoft account, it says it has failed to find me. I do not get the same error when logging into the Microsoft Ignite website. I will revise my rating when the issue is fixed, but for now it stays at 1 star.

Seems to be working fine. Although this is not published by Microsoft, Eventbase Technology, Inc is a reputable company and this isn't a phishing app.Requires a live id to login and then will sync down your schedule from the MyIgnite website. You also have the ability to add sessions from the app too although you'd be very masochistic to plan your entire schedule from here. Tech community option does not appear to be working at the moment - but to be honest, that is not really the point of the app - it's to see whats happening and where you should be next. Would be nice to have maps of the area so you can determine whether the back to back sessions are going to be close by or whether you have to *really* hustle to get to the next location. Note the search function doesn't always work and return speakers who are giving presentations. Also the Keynote, breakfast etc can be found under the Agenda listing and cannot be added to your schedule for some weird reason

It does not support 'Work or school account' authentication, while most of people are registered with their companies. Please fix it.

Still says "Login failed, unable to retrieve the user" when authenticating with pwd or authenticator app. Same account works fine on PC.

It would be great if the app could work before the conference that costs more than $2200 ($2700 with the pre-day) to attend actually happens.

Having same problem as other users where I get an error that says "could not retrieve user"

Unable to log in with my account or my alias. Changed PW just in case. App is not usable.

Can't log in: "Login failed, unable to retrieve the user". Works on my iOS devices.

The app won't let me login using my Microsoft account though I can log in to the web site just fine. Very frustrating.

Yep, still sucks, won't let you log in. Contacted support was told it's an Android 8.0 thing, and they fixed it. Nope, not fixed.

Ignite is only a few weeks away and I still can't look with my linked account

I can log into MyIgnite online but using the same account cannot log into this dumb app.

LinkedIn credentials from my registration not accepted by app. Can't use it at all.

It's slow, even with the database being downloaded locally. Speaking of the database it constantly has to redownload it. I'm not talking once a day or when it is updated. I mean it is downloading 3 or 4 times a day and won't let you use the app until it does.

Not sure why it is so slow. It downloads the database locally, but still takes around 30 seconds to change between screens. Not easy to see events for a specific purpose at a glance. I find myself scrolling through sessions that don't apply to me. Crashes often causing frustration waiting for it to load again. I do however like the search feature.

Why Microsoft would use this 3rd party app is baffling. It's poorly designed with limited functionality and flexibility. The maps are mostly useless and it wants to constantly update the database. If you don't let it update, it just closes. This could be a showcase app, but instead it's another crappy software I'm removing. Surely Microsoft can do better than this?

Although it did not work a week prior to conference. I use it across multiple devices and sync schedule (although it is a manual sync). The only functionality it lacks is Add to playlist in the schedule builder.

You provide a conference about building great apps but can't do one yourselves? Slow, laggy, crashes, slows other apps and eats battery.

Slow in doing everything. Loading the schedule builder takes ages, for instance. It's a joke considering that it should serve a high tech event.

Wants all permissions. Unusable without a Microsoft account. Once I got through all that it won't work without ignite tag on the account. Which of course I don't have. I guess it's too much to ask just to get a schedule of events with locations without them having my identity to sell

This app needs to do simple things and it doesn't do them. Takes forever to load and is often unresponsive.

This app has crashed frequently and in general doesn't work all that well. The part where you can save sessions to "My Conference" always opens to Monday, so you'll constantly have to scroll through more and more sessions as the week goes on. Overall a poor showing for an app from Microsoft for their developer conference
