Dynamics 365 for Phones for Android
I think Microsoft has updated this app a total of 5 times in 5 years I have used Dynamics CRM. They clearly are not invested in the mobile concept they constantly rant about in the huge Microsoft vision. Maybe it works better on a tablet but on Android don't even try. App alone has 15 mins of login prompts and configuration loading. Which is already a brief hint of the how great this app is. It's been this way since day 1 (5 years ago and Microsoft has still yet to address the loading and other bugs)
My experience has not been as negative as many reviews here. Have been testing with a trial version of 365 on line so not many customisations. But have not had any issues with login freezes. Also able to swipe in both direction which was obviously a problem in ealier builds. So far so good
This app seems to become less usable with every version. For every issue fixed, two worse ones appear. Performance is terrible in the most recent update, and features like click to call are broken. Swiping is once again slow and unreliable as occurred two versions ago. Non customized entities which worked in the previous version now display errors. Attempting to get support for the application is a nightmare, and after dozens of hours will get you nowhere.
Slow, clunky and pretty much unusable. I have realised that accessing Dynamics 365 through a browser is easier/better. Come on Microsoft! This is a joke.
Currently I am facing 1 issue, which is that, I am not getting Visit objective while I am submitting my visit log. Kindly resolve.
Worked on my LG G3, then upon install on a new Pixel is throwing up a 401 error on login. Troubleshooting online only showed entries using jargon far beyond my novice level of IT experience, and looked to be dev side anyway, not end user. I have no clue if I will ever be able to use this on my work phone, which is problematic.

This is very good option for work on field with using mobile.
Conceptually promising, but really fails to hit the mark in terms of functionality, usability and performance. Microsoft needs to throw much more development behind this app before it can truly be useful on a smartphone. Of particular note is the abhorrent performance waiting for content to load and the unnecessary login prompts
The Multimedia Controls freeze up often and you can flip forward when you are on an object, but you cannot flip back. I hope these are addressed in the next release. The iPhone version of the app let's you navigate much more easily...
Overall this version of the app shows promise, except for the issue of not being able to scroll back on a record. For instance looking at an Account, you can swipe to the left to look at the various detail screens, but can't swipe back to the right. Instead you have to step out of the current record and go back to it to get to the beginning. Hugely frustrating and I cannot believe this has not been addressed sooner.
Crap software. Just sits on the screen saying "stay on this screen while we set things up". It stays like that for days. No errors. Does this for multiple users.
You can't swipe left to move to previous screen. Record closes immediately after you first save it. Tested on several android phones with same result. iOS works better without swipe issue. SDK code for subgrids has a bug and won't work. Microsoft fix this ASAP. It's unusable.
It slides forward but you can not slide back. I think it's a bug and hope it will get foxed soon
Needs work. Very unstable crashes often. Menus disappear when accessed. Have same issue on Xperia Z5, Z2 and Galaxy S5
Every page I try to go to has an error. It's sad that other developers can create apps that run MS CRM and Microsoft fails so miserably!
I'm not able to send emails in response to cases which is making this app unusable.
This app was meant to help us work more mobile and increase productivity by 25% well it doesnt and has increased iur work load and crashes all the time. DO NOT GET THIS APP
Navigation is not smooth and hard to navigate, cannot slide back. C'mon microsoft, you can do better than this
Have tried several times to connect to my CRM online. Have tried removing and reinstalling.

Can't get past the initial configuration page. This is the case for multiple Android users. iOS users seem to have no issues.

Update to latest version and now will not log into Dynamics
It won't connect to CRM 2016 on Prem! It says: Your Server is not available or does not support this application. It was working fine with CRM for Phone and Tablets 2016.

Its not a bad app and I find it useful, but there is an option in the settings to turn off offline sync. I clicked this option during testing and now I cant turn it back on. Do not click this option in settings, the phone will never sync offline data again. I even tried to reconfigure and re-install the app....no go. I can no longer go offline and see data.
SINCE THIS UPDATE THE CRM HAS NOT WORKED. LOGIN ERRORS BUT THE BROWSER WORKS PERFECTLY.
Seriously guys you need to improve it is really inefficient as compared to web.

I use this on my desktop and tablet and works decent. I have tried the phone app a few times and always get errors
