RingDimmer for Android
I have a Samsung S5570 Galaxy Mini. After I installed Ringdimmer on it, I noticed that the battery is discharged very quickly. I mention that the Android 2.3.4 gingerbread. How to solve this problem? It's a shame, because the application itself is useful.
I've been happy with this but had to uninstall it after upgrading my phone to KitKat. Crazy WakeLocks draining battery and interrupting audio playback on the device is not something I can accept.
Use this app across multiple devices and years. Didn't realise its there at all. Which means it's not the first consideration for power drain and it might or might not be working its magic to affect my life that much. Giving 3 stars because i became sceptical about other user's negative comments. I hope this app keeps up its good work of old times. *Edit: it's lost its accuracy now
Works well, unless phone is in your pocket. Prevents embarassing phone explosions!
I am using from a year or long. This app really work according to your surrounding situation
I've used this app for a while now and I am very pleased. Only gripe is an explanation of the basic features?
Work perfectly but proximity sensor detection should be added for 5 stars Works flawlessly , accurate and adjustable volume level make it worth to buy. But proximity sensor detection function should be added. To make the volume adjustment more accurate while putting the phone in pocket.
用起来很方便很智能,确实让我不会被铃声吓到。但是如果加入时间管理就更完美了,比如半夜无论多嘈杂都自动静音。 推荐购买。
The microphone is not able to be reliably used by the app yet. Does not work on One X. Used to work great on my Evo 4G.
My music player some how stops playing music after 1 minute plus if i just leave my phone untouched. I had to force the app to stop running from settings in order to play my musics continuously . Please fix it!
Great idea, works great, it has the option to adjust based on time if day, but not sure what schedule it uses,i wish I could specify my day and when to go silent at night etc
Like others, I'm disappointed that this app hasn't been kept up with. It basically stopped working with Android 5, I think. It will run, but even when set at max volume, it's too low to hear.
I quit using Intelliring because I had to turn it off to shoot a video. This app is great because as long as I don't have the icon show as a notification, shooting videos isn't a problem.
Seems it doesn't work since installing KitKat. I had a few random crashes with JB, but now the mic VU Meyer doesn't respond at all so I can only assume it's not working.

This used to be my favorite app but it does not "play well with others." This app mutes phone calls after a few minutes of talk time. Also force close when playing music. Amazing app, but does not work after Jelly Bean or Kit Kat updates on HTC One.
I use the widget for this and for spotify on the same screen. When I listen to music i just click play on the spotify widget and click the mic button on the ring dimmer to temp disable so no audio interference. As for battery, if you don't have multiple batteries for this phone then you might as well just give up. I have 4 to 5 batteries and just never, ever worry about battery life.
Please fix that issue and I'll get the stars all the way up to 5.
Works great, saves me hassle to remember to volume down at work or missing calls in the car.

Because the volume is too low that is. I haven't had to manually adjust the volume since installing this application
Really like this app but it's such a strain on the battery. I'm going to have to uninstall
Does the job well - saves playing around with the volume settings myself.
When I first downloaded this it didn't do anything on my Galaxy Nexus. Within a short time there was an update and it works very well now!
The settings are vague and severely limited. I don't really understand them or why I can't set them to behave in a manner that's functional for me. The app constantly turns my volume down when I need it loudest. For what setting is this ideal? The user should be able to define the responses to whatever is detected by mics and sensors. Nothing is ever updated, resolved, or developed. It's really disappointing. Uninstalled.
Great idea, slightly lacking in explanation. I appreciate KISS, but maybe explain things in a sub-menu? Finer control would be great too. Still, worth the price.
Does what it says and isn't using up the battery. Worth .99 for the extra features
Really great app but it drains battery more than expected !
It seems they've fixed the battery drain problems. Good app!
Out of all the apps I have this consumes the most battery. Never open when I need it to be. Its open periodically but is not consistent.
Works like it should. Alot of FC though
I work in an office and a noisy shop floor and this lets me get all of my calls. 5 stars if it could manage notification volume as well.
Best app I came across
Nice app, it comes in handy sometimes in the office, but it needs updating. The app only works for calls, and not email/texts etc. with ICS, and I can't figure out how to get the vibrate feature to work.
It works well, but on my Lollipop Nexus 5 it keeps it awake all the time, draining the battery. Cannot use it for now.
Volume detection freezes at times causing the app to not work at all. Works poorly when it actually does work if ever. No Tasker support!! Uninstalled.
I helped test this app in its early stages and I pains me to make this review. However, this app no longer works as intended and all attempts to contact the developer have been met with no response. It took me 2 hard resets to track my issue down to this app. The app now causes my device's sound to stop working about 10 min after booting. PLEASE help.
Since I upgraded to 4.2, the app has been causing my screen to turn back on every time it checks the ambient sound level.
Does exactly what it says, and doesn't strain my battery, which is important because I've got a pretty battery-intensive phone. I never have to worry about scaring the crap out of everyone with my ringtone being too loud, and I don't have to worry about missing a call because I was in a crowd. It is annoying that the sound cuts out when the ringer volume is adjusting, but not quite a deal breaker. Five stars if this is ever changed.

The settings are vague and severely limited. I don't really understand them or why I can't set them to behave in a manner that's functional for me. The app constantly turns my volume down when I need it loudest. If I am in a silent room alone, I don't need the volume off on my device. If I am in a crowded silent room, then silent would be most appropriate. I miss all of my calls and notifications when this is on. At least have a rapid toggle or gesture available: face down, volume up; face up, volume down. Either make settings more functional or make it easier to segregate appropriate behaviors, for example profiles or schedules. The user should be able to define the responses to whatever is detected by mics and sensors. Nothing is ever updated, resolved, or developed. It's really frustratingly disfunctional.
