Spending Tracker for Android
I was using an app previously but it really wasn't working the way I wanted to. Came across Spending Tracker but didn't like the review. Decided to try it anyway because I loved the icon and boom! It was just what I needed. I can create separate accounts and track expenses separately, daily, monthly and yearly plus it's super easy to use. I didn't have to refer to any guide. Awesome work guys. Would have loved different backup options though. Guess you can work on that. Google drive, One drive...
It's a good app. Don't mind the ads, will upgrade to pro if I don't find another app that better suits me soon. Really wish you could add a check box or the option to draw a line through recurring expenses once paid and maybe a way to link to bank accounts. Would definitely upgrade to pro and change my rating if it just had a check box or the option to draw a line through paid expenses. I like the positive reinforcement of being able to see what I've already paid.
Simple yet highly effective. 15-20 minutes to initially set up accounts and categories and then enter your normal transactions as needed. Automatically backs up to Dropbox. Very reasonable one time charge to remove ads. Only thing lacking is detailed budgeting. There's one overall budget amount you can enter but lacks budgeting by categories.
4th app I've tried. Its limited. Only does recurring bills and income. Does not differentiate between a budget and a bill. There is no option for unplanned purchases or spending. Out of the four apps that I have downloaded and tried out this is the best thus far. Unfortunately it's just a very aesthetically pleasing version of my Microsoft Excel worksheet. Sticking with the worksheet but I'm still looking if I find better I will bump this down to three stars. I have found better! Try Money Lover
It's performing well now. I'd tried it before and had trouble getting into the nuts and bolts meat of the app. On this install, I loaded the app icon to home screen and just tried a second time and voilà! Now my only curiosity is why won't the analytics show up when I rotate the screen? Thanks for a great app. I wish that this could be integrated and somehow embedded into my actual online banking interface!
LOOOOOOVVVE IT! Very simple to customize! Easy to add / delete. To delete just hold onto the line/category until it changes colour and a trash can appears on the top of the screen! soooo soooo simple! Also very adaptable to another device! backing up is so easy to the drop box which you can password protect. You can also password protect this app by turning it on in the settings! Plus the repeat function is handy so that you only need to add new things in the next pay period!
It's really helpful to have a visual reference of spending. While I need o stick to my weekly budget anyway, it's great to see exactly where I'm spending everything down to the last nickel. Helps with cutting back on unnecessary expenses. It'd be nice if there was a feature to transfer remaining balance into a "savings" sort of thing cuz I'm now going under budget since I've been using this app, but that's just me!
Best free expense management app oit there for free. Daily reminder feature never works. Developer should add new features viz... Expense limit warning for categories # Add product categories so that one could keep track of frequently purchased products or consumables. #Could improve reporting features. Overall a very well designed app.... Kudos and a ton of gratitude to the developer considering the scarcity of really usable apps on the playstore.... A great effort overall
It would be good to have more options other than backup to DropBox. Since the recent hacking's perhaps use multiple storage services to give us choice. Personally I'd use onedrive. Also the ability to have another user (different gmail account and device) to update the same account. Kind of put off using drop box.
I have been using Spending Tracker since 2014. I really like this app and have always relied on this app to track all my finances. I even upgraded so that I can sync it with my dropbox. But unfortunately, recently I LOST ALL MY FINANCIAL DATA that I have had since 2014. I just changed to a new phone, and it seems the data in my dropbox also got replaced. Do you have a solution? retrieve my data as per 7 December 2016? Please respond to this inquiry. I really need your support, because the data really matter
I tried a lot of budget trackers & calculators & this is the best one by far. I'm not very good with math & have a lot of recurring expenses so I was really looking for an app that could do the math for me & help me keep track of my due dates & salary. I love that you can name expenses/income anything & set it to show recurring payments. There are also some nice features like graphs & charts & an itemized list of the math & your remaining balance. Free version is great but I like it so much I went ad free.
So simple and effective. Easy to use, visually pleasing. It's already opened my eyes to my spending and as a result has saved me so much money because I refuse to input frivolous purchases which means I don't end up buying junk I don't need anymore. Highly recommend this app. (And I'm picky- I downloaded four budgeting apps to try and deleted all the others!)
If you're like me and get to the end of the month wondering where all your cash went, when you didn't but any big ticket items. Then this is a great little App to quickly, easily and intuitive label your income and expenses to get a grasp of all those little payments each day. Good job!
So far so good! Just downloaded 2 days ago and decided to pay for the ad free version. I like that you're not required to enter personal banking details and how simple it is. All I wanted to do was upgrade from the Excel spreadsheet I used on my desktop. Works great for my purpose. Highly recommend if you want a simple spending tracker.
This budget planner helps me to keep track of all of my finances and it's so user friendly and easy. I can enter repetitive bills throughout the year, and change my payments according to my personal accounts. I'm also able to save money.
Love it man, love it. I record what I make and create my own spending categories. I can put notes next to my expenses if I want to. This app has been a great help keeping track of my cash flow. The free version has a few ads but if you like it I would recommend spending the $3 to remove ads. I'm not one to make in app purchases but that purchase was worth while since I use this app every day.
Tracks spending well, with a clean and precise interface. I can create and use my own categories, compare spending to a budget, enter expenses easily, and view the resulting data every which way. That's all I wanted. And now I can view the data from any of my devices. Like a great Robertson-head screw driver: the right tool.
I've become very vigilant in logging everything I'm spending and that has made me spend a lot less. Only feature I wish it had was future logging that doesn't affect the current available balance. I know what I'm going to get paid in a couple days, but I'd like to log it now and not have it change my available until that day. EDIT**** Nevermind. It is already an option. 5 stars!
Excellent... I haven't found a better app yet and I've been using it for a few years now. It makes sense and is simple to use, and it's beautiful. If only they could add a restaurant tip calculation using gross and net, and a debt planeer, for those pesky bills... it's the better of the bunch.
I can not go a day without checking up first on this app. It guides me by telling me how much I have coming out as well as how much is coming in. I have been able to successfully pay off "3" bills using it as a guide it encourages me to keep up the good work! I cant say ENOUGH -even if I could -there's only so much room here to say it -YOU GOT TO TRY IT!!!! Honestly- IT CAN SET U FREE !!!!!
We have been looking for a straightforward, easy to use app to help us keep in-line with our budget whilst out and about. We have tried other apps which we found too in-depth and not user friendly with those of us without a degree in Mathematics! Highly recommended :)
I'm loving this app. I'm trying to manage my budget to allow for higher savings, and this is making it SO much easier. One thing that would make it perfect would be the ability to transfer between accounts. Currently there are multiple account options but only expense and income transactions, and I frequently move money between accounts.
Great features, has exactly what I need for my monthly budget management. Only complaint (big complaint for me...) is that they only support Dropbox for backups. I would gladly even pay a little for other choices but I don't use Dropbox so little use for me and I'm uncomfortable keeping financial records without a backup facility.
I usually write all of my bills down, but this app gives me a visual of how much money I'll have left over after I pay them all. It could also show me if I'm spending too much money (which hasn't happened yet since I'm on the frugal side.. but it's still nice to know).
Especially, it can be xported to google drive in spreadsheet format.. now I don't have to hire someone to retype the report. When I jot down the expense, mean I do make a report. Just send the report to my finance people to get a reimbursement. Can you make a slot to take a picture the receipt? It will make you look better then the others. How to export data into spreedsheet format?
It helps me a lot because my bank is slow to reflect transactions made, so I never really know how much is in my account. With this app, I can log them right away and categorize them so I'm not wondering where my paycheck went so quickly. Lol. This also helped me realize areas I needed to cut back in like eating out.
Easy to entry and do multiple accounts (I use it to record my investment properties)! Thanks. One thing about the PDF export (premiun version), can you adjust the font size? Especially on date, it's too large and cannot even see the year. Font size on title also too large.
Very good working app. Helps me see my savings and spending in a cute chalk board detail. Works great and lets me keep track of how much i spend and where so i can try and cut back on my spending. Only thing its missing is an option to save to pc and to take a picture of receipts and save them with the expense.
Really simple app. I wanted to track my spending to keep things in check where needed. I found the app super easy to set up and use. Now if I go out and have a coffee or something it's entered straight into the app and I can see just how much each category is costing over each month - surprising results! And has helped me save money. Highly recommended
A wonderfull app among all. But there are some issue like in the transaction columns the transaction are not listed line wise. It should work accordingly what we input 1st should be on the last and carry on. So pls try to arrange it in the next update. Waiting for da update n give u 5 star.
-Doesn't require an account sign up. -Can create own categories. -free to use. - Can make expenses and salaries repeat. -Few ads. -simple & straight forward. -Can use offline. There are Some Cons. If you want to change an expense or salary that repeats you must delete it and add it again or else it will only change for the month you have selected.
It's not user friendly. I'm receiving my salary every 2 weeks and the app doesn't have the option to set your budget on a 2 weeks period. Thanks for trying to help us budget minded people and I'm hoping that this app will be improved in the future.
I've found this app really useful and easy to use, once I got into the habit of updating it. I'm only giving it 4 stars though as it would be useful to have a data wipe feature. There have been periods where I haven't needed the app or have not recorded a payment. It would be nice to be able to start again, without having to uninstall and reinstall. Additionally it should start with asking for your current account balance. Nevertheless a very useful tool.
1. Add the account name at the top of the page, next to the month. 2. When deleting a transfer between accounts, records should be removed in both accounts, no need to delete twice. 3. When deleting a repeating transaction, should have a option to delete past history at the same time. Thank you for improving!
Only problems i find is its not set up like a checkbook to fill out, and Note should have been Payee. 2nd fault is no way to balance checkbook. Other than that syncing devices and working speed is excellant
I used this apps for several months last year. I am planning to routinely use it again, but there's a small problem: I want to edit and delete some of my categories, but it won't let me delete the ones that I have used for transactions on the past. I tried to delete my backups, but it still doesn't work. Is there a solution for this, besides manually deleting all my past transactions?
I've already paid for the pro version - I've just upgraded my phone and now I'm bugged by ads and have to pay again for pro features?
I love the graphics/font/color of this app. Watch the video for how to use it. The carryover is in the settings. While i think I prefer the flexibility of MoBill's showing week (although I still think they need to up it to show 4 weeks at one time so you can get most of a month on the screen), I think I am going to try this app out for a while. It seems to be a little easier than my previous budget app although it is missing some of the functions.
Loved I need one more new word to express how really it looks awesome....

I was ideally looking for an app that would provide me with an overview of my incomings and outgoings in a monthly box calendar format, if you could add this it would be extremely helpful. I also really dislike that the transaction and spending sections are listed with the most recent date at the top of the list, my head works chronologically (date down) so this really confuses me. It would be nice to have the option on the order that the transactions are listed,
