MGRS Navigation System for Android
The App crashes as soon as you type in a 10 digit grid
Not too bad for a phone application. However I would like to see an option to switch between degrees and mils for bearing. Other than that no complaints
Goooodddd
Junk
Great for military land nav, superb!
Originally I gave this high marks, but that was immediately after installing it. Now, upon subsequent use, things don’t seem to work. The target is apparently only capable of working within your own 100KM grid. Also, a target that is once set never seems to go away, even though you tell it to delete the target, and I have yet to figure out how to get back to the settings menu; it was there when I first loaded it. There was a pretty good tutorial that runs right after starting the app for the first time, but good luck ever seeing that again.
App is GREAT in every other aspect. I have a Galaxy S6 & I can not "target" any location with a negative lat/long. I need this feature!! The last update did not fix it. I use this app every day as do ALOT of my coworkers but we all have to use a Different app to input GPS Cords to find a location.
What it has works well, it's a good system. Lacking a lot of options I would be more than willing to pay for. First, you should be able to input multiple points, name them and create a route. Next, the compass should be available in mils. Finally it needs a night time mode for better use in low light conditions. Add these features and it will be a hell of a lot more useful in the field.
Great app but if you could add a night mode and remove those apps when i try to quit. Looks bad on a patrol when some candy crush ad comes up. Real bad!
No actual soldier would write mgrs as a big blob. You're supposed to separate it like xxx xx xxxxx xxxxx so it's actually readable. Also you can't copy/paste anything.
This app has a lot of useful functions but needs the ability to change the bearing setting from degrees to mils. It would be nice to be able to input a distance and direction from your location and get a target grid, too.
Great app, my National Guard unit uses this app on my Motorola Droid Turbo because it's more accurate than our DAGR gps.
The only thing I would suggest is the ability to change the compass to mils instead of degrees.
It keeps force closing for no reason besides that it work eehh ok
Would like to be able to measure distances between grid way points and not just your location.
Repurposing art from warhammer for your main picture? The emperor will be displeased.
Would like to see the option to display directions in mils instead of degrees, great other than that.
Love it I use it at work when I am given mgrc to find patients
Just used it the other for a land nav course....best land nav app I've seen so far! Great Job!
MGRS entry bugged on Note 4. Cannot contextualise MGRS entries, doesn't allow 10 fig grids with map data. Otherwise, exactly what I wanted.
Excellent app.
Imposible to taukus a grids azmukt its ok
Doesn't let you input your destination grid. You enter the digits and just sits there or blanks out or links up.
The only thing that I would like is to be able to name your targets. Other than that is a great app I did not even bother to use my Garmin.
This is a great basic app. I would like to see some more features that I have seen in IOS apps such as GPS Kit. Most importantly is the ability to download and store maps. If you can't do this the app won't work where you don't have signal. Also the ability to choose different types of maps, google, bing etc. Naming points has been mentioned in other reviews. At the end of the day it's a free app. But, I would pay for one similar to GPS Kit for iPhones.
As others have said, great app but would be a perfect app if it allowed naming of targets...lack of such a feature forces me to use a similar app (MGRS GPS) instead...hope you will add this so I can go back to using yours.
Takes me to the correct location...what more could I ask for.
Uninstslled
I can type the mgrs in, but it disappears when I hit enter... Would be perfect if I can get this fixed
MGRS entry bugged on Note 4. Cannot contextualise MGRS entries, doesn't allow 10 fig grids with map data. Otherwise, exactly what I wanted.
I work at Fort Irwin and this thing gets you around the box with ease. Best mgrs app I've ever downloaded. thanks
It's coordinates are great. Works well through thick vegitation. The only problem I have is the compass does not work ... Maybe only my phone but it will only say I'm facing north.
I cant enter coordinates from my samsun gx4, it dosent let type properly
You must have this app. Period. It should be standard on every phone. This thing is amazing.
Great for military land nav, superb!
Must have for anybody in the Mil that land Navs alot
Great app just wish the map could be orientated in the direction you are faceing
Only played with it for a few minutes but this is EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be. Would love to be able to store waypoints and give them names (hunting locations). Would also be awesome if you could draw boundaries and save them...a customized overlay I guess is what it is called. If you are familiar with the FBCB2 system then you know what I'm talking about. Even without that stuff...this app is awesome.
Needed coordinates for movement request, this app got me out of a pinch, more than I expected.

Lately has not been working properly. But overall it's a great app
