MetService Rural Weather App

How can a government institution be responsible for such a mess? MetService feedback desk has fobbed me off with *have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling* and other pathetic excuses. The fact remains that our devices download and run all the other apps in the world so what's so special about NZ MetService Rural Weather App? Can the I.T. person responsible for this app just admit that it is flawed and they don't know how to fix it? An embarrassment to the taxpayer. For God's sake, either fix it or remove it.

Would have given it 5 stars but it stopped working a few days ago. Uninstaller it and download again seems to have fixed it for now Otherwise great app with a lot of details on my location

I was going to give one star however I gave 4 becoz when it was working it was primo. It has since stopped loading I have un-installed re-installed and still will not work therefore I am disappointed with it at this time :-(

Cant have favorites so go to settings and juggle tab while each screen rotates. Deleted

Nice app very useful. But i liked the pictures of rural scenes. Now its just dull clouds. Surely an NZ app could find some better landscapes than just clouds.

Where's Tekapo, Fairlie, Geraldine? All completely different weather from Timaru. Timaru is on the coast!

So far, so good. Easy to use, Pretty accurate for the area i live. Happy.

When i try choosing my location, the application fails. I've tried it with other locations and it didn't work. Please fix and update.

It's useless as you can't check exactly where you need to check the weather. No good for people wanting to go tramping or hunting. There's only 2 places in the Coromandel to choose.

Great for farmers

As a fellow meteorologist from the States visiting NZ soon, this is just what I needed. I was actually blown away by the features, in depth data, video forecast, decent res radar and services provided. Never seen anything like it in a weather app.. The NWS should take note. Haven't checked for satellite feed yet but that would make it even better.

While the App for the main centres is a paid App, there's nothing preventing someone selecting the rural area next door and utilising this App for free....

NZ weather information from the state owned.... Lots of up to date weather data and all for free.

Is it really so difficult to add location service and push notifications warnings based on location? In this day and age it is a fatal flaw in a mobile app of this kind
