My Music Organizer

I find this app quite easy to use, and the remote server backup service and export capability are really appreciated. And it's free. My only negative comment is that I am constantly adding content to the database, as 50+% of my CD collection is not there, so lots of manual entry. Maybe this should get me a complimentary upgrade to the paid version?!

I have a problem with this app, it says to install the barcode scanner, (which is good) but makes no provision to those who purchased the pro version of the barcode scanner. Which I find very 1 sided and sort of lazy to not include it. So it's a big fat 0 stars till it's added.

The music database is absolutely terrible. Many albums had no entries and the ones that did scan were filled with mistakes. I had to spend so much time correcting errors that I abandoned this app since it wasn't saving me any time. Cool features which are useless since the music db is so awful.

Originally I was really happy with this app. I am still using it since I now have 1400 vinyl albums entered into the data base. But you need to be warned that after 650 entries I started having backup and restore issues. At first I'd have to just do a backup or restore a second time to get both the album information and cover photo to sync up. At around 900 entries that stopped . Backup and restore will no longer transfer cover art. The only way to transfer cover art from one device to another is to manually move the artwork from one device to the other device. Album data will still transfer correctly. This is happening on 3 devices. I have uninstalled the app on all devices and than reinstalled to see if that clears things up. I Tried a clean install and restore on a brand new tablet. The problem is now permanent. I have tried asking as to why this is now happening by using the link here but after 6 months, there has been no response. I'm using the paid version, not the free version. Thank you

Export to csv not available in free version... You could have made it clear before I scanned 100+ cds.

Can't do any import it crashes everytime. Tell fixed I'm not able to do any other testing.

If you could add something so that both the name of the CD and the artist name sync when you scan it and possibly the songs on the album will sync too. That would be very helpful

Can't justify buying until you fix it. It needs more data fields such as composer(s) first and family names, date of recording, artist needs to be expanded to soloist (and instrument) Orchestra (musicians) conductor, someone else suggested playing time. The 3rd party scanner required is also poor, why was it necessary to force it on us. By the way, not enough standard categories: the history of music goes a lot further back than the 20th Century!

I actually want to rate this app a 2.5. My reasons for this are the same as the comments that Neil Stewart wrote on May 18, 2015. I'm sure that I can find a much better app that will automatically populate the music information and save me time with the database of my music collection.

Scanned all my info in, saved it and backed it up..now, it's not found to be restored from the server. Its like it does not exists. What's the point??

I just entered 86 LPs. The barcode scan function is slow since it takes time for the scanner to focus. I was disappointed in how little info is imported via the scan - usually just album name and pic. It did not scan artist info, album date or format into the input areas. A lot of the time the format info was simply added to the album name field. I upgraded to the pro version. It did not upgrade the existing software. The pro version is a completely separate version - it did not automatically import the albums entered via the free version. I had to backup the albums to the server via the free version and then import the backup file into the pro version. It does a great job at recognizing artist names and correcting artist name spelling errors.

Bless your heart for trying. When scanning common albums, info is album and artist name on one line. No way to remove star ratings. Clumsy interface.

Needs improvement on artist detection. 50% rate, database a bit under populated. Needs some UI polish. Great concept. Best free collector I have found so far.

Looking for an app to take the work out of caataloguing my CD collection. I tried this, it worked OK, scanned a few CDs but the data quality and level of detail added was minimal - just album title and the artist - sadly even this needed editing - separating the album title from the artist. The album cover was added but no other detail such as dates or running time in the CDs was provided. The app required another barcode scanner to be installed even though I had a good one installed already. That seemed unnecessary.

barcode scanner - used external app which is a joke - recognize only title. no artist, no genre, no issue use... inconvenient. to update this data musky I do not need such apk, can use any database

The app is based around manual entry of a music collection using barcodes - either scanned or typed in. While manageable for small collections or if you're just starting, for those with large collections it's a big turn off. Ideally, would be great if future versions of the app could i) scan your phone and any other hard drives on your home wifi network and catalogue the music files it finds, and ii) allow you to add other non-digitised music by browsing an online database.

The possibility to see the back cover where the tracks are listed would be awesome! Anyhow it works pretty well.

This is the best music collection app out there especially as you can use it offline and you can manually enter info. Could do with an album art searcher function. Well done!

Crashes before trying to import csv after I spent a bunch of time building the csv from my CD collection. This isn't just bad, it is worthless.

Where is it??????

I think there should be a way you could punch in a letter on the main screen and it would take you to that letter instead of scrolling through your whole list to get to a certain letter of your collection.

Love this app as it is a great way for me to compile a list of all my vinyl and have it portable while out hunting. Rather than a barcode scanner, I wish this had a serial searcher so I can input the serial of the record, which all records have, and then find the information online that way.

It keep taking me to a website to like them on Google and Facebook would not let me view app uninstall ASAP

I would like to be able to type in the number on a album that does not have a bar code. Bar codes are no where to be found on 99.9% of the records I want to list. There are codes but no bars.

Not good Waste of time

I understand it doesn't download or play music it's simply to organize your current collection, however it didn't tell u its not for music currently downloaded into your phone. It's for physical copies of music. Disappointed! I wanted to organize my 1600 songs on my phone.

The best feature seemed to be the barcode scanner, so I thought I could just whizz through my current collection in no time. But the camera doesn't focus! Check out Red Laser, guys! I'm uninstalling it - this is a silly mistake!

Too much pestering from advertisers, would pay for it of it worked well! Scan of CD cover dumps all information in the first field so not left with option to sort by artist for example. Poor.
