UV Canada is a useful app for the residents of Canada which helps its users receive daily notifications about the latest status of Ultra Violet (UV) radiation in users' location of choice. Users can also receive weather forecasts and tips on how to reduce the negative effects of long UV exposure. The data is kindly contributed by the weather office of the government of Canada. The application is offered as part of the efforts by Skin Research Training Center and BC Cancer Agency, to raise awareness in dealing with Ultra Violet hazards and to prevent skin cancer. The BC Cancer Agency, an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority, provides a province-wide, population-based cancer control program for the residents of British Columbia and the Yukon. Enjoy the sun light more safely!

Hasn't been working for over a year, they have no plans to fix it. This app is basically abandoned.

EDIT: so often on both wifi and 4g it will not load past its first screen. It should show me the day's tip and then start working. Hitting my android menu button sometimes helps, usually not. Hitting my android back button makes it black. Love the skin type selector, the alarm with what spf sunscreen you are using, the helpful and organized safe sun tips. It's very handy, hope it doesn't turn out to use too much battery or need to be forced closed like others have said. Will report back in a few days.

Works great, just hoped it could support Auckland NZ where I'm going for a year and would like uv level alerts.

I also have this app on my iPhone.

Is a very detailed app with great tips and forecasts both metric and US system. Shame that it doesn't close without forcing it down. Had to uninstall.

But it could use a widget to let us see on the home or lock screen what the levels are.

I like this app, simple to use and easy to understand.

I recently learned UV is not within the range of electromagnetic radiation visible to the human eye. This app is great because while you can't see UV, you have an interest in knowing when there is too much of it.

Thanks to my good friend, I've downloaded this app and use it on a daily basis. This app helps me be protected from powerful UV rays! Unfortunately, sometimes it's too sunny outside for me to see it on my phone.

Only time it tells me uv is at noon?
