Ummmmm, where is my backup file?? Nothing will open, and am I supposed to guess how to use this app?

It transferred only received text and mms but not my outgoing messages. Its free

Installed to backup my sms and MMS messages, but I instantly got an error message when I tried to backup.

Would be a 5 star bit of brilliance except that it mangles text messages with commas, ampersands, and probably any other XML special characters. What good is a backup and restore tool that grabs and restores everything quickly and handles MMS properly if it mangles half your messages?

This is the only app I came across which could transfer all my messages from the old phone to the new one. It took really long to complete the task(almost 2 hours for about 2700 sms) but worked perfectly.

You can count on this app to backup & restore your sms/mms. Superbackup & SMS restore & backup was either lagging, made errors or didn't backup messages completely not to mention mms pics or vids..

Nothing fancy, pretty straight forward

Good app, copies both sms and mms. My only complaint is that it loses the apostrophes from messages and I'm a stickler for those, so seeing messages without them grates a bit. If it wasn't for that I would have given it 5 stars.

It created double of every one of my sms's - on the same phone, instead of transferring to my new phone.

Awesome app especially when changing phones

Try to provide direct transfer of XML file to other device...or provide direct sync. with other device like motorola migrate

About 30% through the restore. Error Obtaining ThreadID failed for URL: content://mms-sms/threadID Mohave emailed the author with the log and a further explanation.

Was perfect for doing simple full backup and restore of all messages, including MMS, when transferring to new phone. This time it just crashed with an "app op not allowed" error.

life saver... as my andro A60 "Micromax" was giving me trouble had to take it to the service center, there was no way to back up my messages just the contacts could be backed, but my search ended with message sync. It did the trick... i could back up my important messages from the client and can restore it when my phone is back... Thanks

Needs 1) import xmls from other apps&phones 2) get time stamps right for diff time zones (msgs get mixed up on restore now)

This app backed up all my SMS & MMS messages to the SD card. After a factory reset, I was able to restore both SMS and MMS messages and the videos and pictures were restored as well. Awesome job with this app.

Months spent searching, no free apps that claim it can restore MMS could do it, but this one could! Backup MMS from CM6 and restore at CM7.1 worked!

Helpful app for keeping my message history. Great work. Fast and easy to use. But cannot backup MMS. HTC Legend user.

Synchronize button has flawed logic. Push it and without warning, it deletes all messages from the BACKUP FILE. WTF? Doesn't even have the decency to make a backup of the file first. Since it overwrites the file, there is no chance for recovery. Shame, because it is the only program I've found that can restore MMS msgs. Does what it says, but very dangerous so until that is fixed... 1 star.

I'm leery.. of trying it, I don't want ALL my messages transferred, just certain people. --(On has over 10,000 msgs)-- And there are NO instructions. Can you help dev? *(SAMsGalaxyNote2phone)*
