Ballistics Free

If you are a long range shooter, this simple, yet very accurate ballistics calculator could be the extra tool that you are missing. It had been tested by many shooters, during it's life as a BlackBerry app; I just dusted it off and offering it to the Android users.

This simple interface allows the user to enter in a set of ballistic, environmental and optical data, then allows the user to quickly calculate the required scope adjustments to drive tacks at about any distance. The calculator will highlight times when you are exceeding the range that the projectile can be accurately calculate (when the projectile is travelling slower than the "break velocity".) Not saying that the calculator will not give you it's best estimates of what the adjustments are, just that you might need to tweak them a bit, as the ballistic properties could cause the projectile to deviate a little more (or less) from the described path. Try it out, and let me know.

I am adding several features to the calculator, such as Coriolis drift, shooting from/to an inclined target, and various other variables that impact the ballistic properties down range. Another feature I intend to add are ballistic graphs, which will show the projectile path as distance increases, but I just wanted to get something into your hands, to start testing with. Please look out for these improvements as I implement them!
