Must-Have Recipes from BHG

Every time I see something I like about this topic you have to pay 99 cents ever time and it makes me so mad , I would not recommend or download this app unless you want to pay 99 cents for ever Good Category in that cook book very disappointed:( bad cooking book it was supposed to be hundreds of free recipes...

My copy of this book from 1982 has my favorite recipes in it. My dissapointment is that they changed the ingredients. My book is literally falling apart. Well it is over 32 years old. But why change an already perfect recipe. So, in the spirit of change and hope 3 stars is what it's worth right now.

Really love this app. SUPER RECIPES, wonderful pictures, shopping list is a great feature. Lots of different kinds of recipes. Wonderful because you can save recipes you like. Just a YUMMY site. TY :)

Didn't have the plain bread pudding recipe I had in my old (twenty years ago) BHG cookbook.

IF YOU WANT A GOOD RECIPE DONT USE THESE PEOPLES ,, THEYRE RECIPES SUCK AND THEY RIP U OFF,,,,, UR BETTER OFF GOOGLING THE RECIPE U WANT +ALL RECIPES, AND U WILL FIND WHAT U WANT WITHOUT GETTING RIPPED OFF,,, LETS MAKE COOKING FUN AGAIN AND GET THESE TYPE OF APPS BANNED!! THEY TAKE THE FUN RIGHT OUT OF IT!! CRAP, CRAP CRAP

This is the best recipe app! Easy to use and inspirational when I'm stuck with only three ingredients in my pantry. Nice job

I would give this five stars, but for whatever reason, the downloads are really slow on my tablet. Ignore the whiners, 99 cents is a cheap price for over 100 recipes! It costs these companies money to develop these apps. A recipe book you can easily take with you, Great!! Thanks BH&G!

I had a friend Akio had this cook book from 2007 and he is a chef and he used it so much, now that I got the app it is so handy and easy to use , I'm not a professional cook but I appreciate a good recipe.

A fantastic array of recipes. From pictures of the dish, preparation instructions, all the way down to your shopping list. Simple to use. A must have, for anyone that needs a little help in the kitchen !!

Btw to the ones that are looking for free recipes. There are free recipes all over the web. Not to mention the creative ideas in your mind. Everyone knows the flavors out there by what they have eaten through life. Just mix and match lol. How many stars would you rate yourself?

This app is ok but.....when something says FREE it should be totally free why do I have to buy recipes get real that is the only reason for the low star

I just downloaded this app. Every time, doesn't matter so which recipe I choose, it does NOT open . #Disappointed

I like to read reviews on the recipes. It is a great feature to have. I don't like to spend money on a recipe if I haven't read feedback. I won't use this app very much at all

As the kids say a crap-ton of recipes. But alas the recipe I really want still eludes me it was in a paperback edition of either better homes or betty Crocker in early 90s. Supreme cheesecake

This is an amazing app that has some great recipes! I've been using it now for over a year and have finally learned how to cook! The variety is perfect and instructions are easy to follow!

Since I can still get recipes offline, I am grateful for that. Thanks for realizing that wi-fi isn't always available. Appreciate it

Love almost everything about this app. 1 downfall is that some things that I want to cook, the recipe has to be bought. But, it's a winner for all that is offered.

... to Bigger and Better technology of cellular devices and tablets, this app is of no longer any use to me anymore. It was fine while I had it. What am I to do with it now? Am I to ask the Sprint salesman to allow me to use my old cell phone from 2011 when I need to use this app to save me the trip of using an actual cook book in my kitchen? Isn't this the point of advancement in technology?! This is the point of moving forward with innovation... Yes, the question was rhetorical and need not be answered. Yes, I paid for this app and it is adherently useless now. Don't bother buying if you expect to continue on reaping the benefits in the future. There are no short cuts. Just buy an actual cookbook and let the flour dust particles fall where they may.

Even the recipes free on the actual website are not free here. I already own most of these and would have liked them available to use here without buying again.

Cool that it shows featured recipes but uncool that I cannot search for recipes or I have to buy them. It works in a pinch, but I think I'll stick with my hardcover book.

Most of the free recipes are off the wall stuff my kids wouldn't touch if you paid them. What's with all the 'apricot glazed' stuff? If you want normal 'home cooking' recipes you have to really dig through the odd ball ones or pay for the category or recipe. I don't mind paying but I expected a little more from Better Homes. A sampler from categories like casseroles for example would have helped me rate this higher.

Looking for grilled stuff pepper recipe and it was not easy to find, better if I could of typed in green pepper recipe or stuffed peppers would have got to it sooner and easier.

This is one of the best free interactive apps I have seen! Having the recipes and being able to make a shopping list in the same location is just simply awesome!

Not free like it said. I have the book already. Only downloaded this for quick lookup but deleting it.

Use it all the time. More for ideas then to use the recipe. But I do use the recipe if it is new and needed.

To people complaining they have to pay for recipes, you only have to pay if you use the recipe store. Otherwise there's tons of completely free recipes in this app. Better Homes is a commercial company that sells cookbooks so they're not going to give you everything for free. Check things out before giving bad ratings.

After a lot o searching found a FREE & DOES WHAT IT SAYS... & doesn't commercialize u to death! No baloney

This app, to put it lightly sucks the big one, I have 5 other apps and I dont have to pay for a single receipe

Has good variety of recipes and a way to save some of your favorites and the ones you want to try later.

This app is misleading. This app you have to purchase for the recipes. Just be truthful and upfront. Went to search for the recipe and before i could use it, buy the app.

Love having recipes at my fingertips. Better Homes And Garden is the best place to get them.
