About VesselView Mobile
VesselView Mobile provides Mercury Marine SmartCraft® engine owners with the ability to view live engine data, monitor fuel usage, obtain detailed descriptions when a fault occurs and receive maintenance alerts when due. The full functionality of the app is available when used in conjunction with the Bluetooth Low Energy VesselView Mobile module. This app collects and shares your precise geolocation. When the app is open and connected to your vessel it requires a continuous connection and therefore may impact the battery life of your device. Without the module, users still have access to a speedometer tool, a map with POIs, the ability to capture moments with the location tagged, plus other useful features. Mercury Marine’s VesselView Mobile app also provides users with a Web-based account.

• Your Top Speed is captured so you can share with friends

• Enter fuel on-board and the app tracks fuel usage
• Average speed and fuel economy is calculated and used to estimate Distance to Empty and Time to Empty
• Receive active fault alerts and corresponding descriptive fault information
• Enter Maintenance records and get appropriate reminders in the future
• See your location on a map with nearby Points of Interest
• Capture Moments such as pictures or fish caught with a location tag
• Use the calendar to review Moments or Maintenance
• Weather and wind conditions updated periodically

• Mercury Marine’s VesselView Mobile app is free to install. The VesselView Mobile module can be purchased through Mercury Marine dealers or through a link inside the app.
• The VesselView Mobile module works with SmartCraft® capable engines built since 2003 (40HP and up). One to four engines can be viewed simultaneously.
• The VesselView Mobile module simply connects to a SmartCraft® connector located either at the helm or on the engine.

Needs tablet support! Even better if the tablet support also came with split screen (or even better, picture-in-picture) mode so I can use at the same time as other nav apps. Otherwise, this is a great app.

Nice app to help keep track of maintenance logs and troubleshoot fault codes. Is the module also capable of oil and water pressure? Wish the mercury guys would somehow make these two sensors also part of the app monitoring

Great device and app. Mercruiser support was extremely helpful during install. Would be perfect 5 star if there was a tablet compatible version. Time to develop that Mercruiser.

Add landscape view and first service at 20 hours and it could be a 5 stars app. It shows first service for a new engine at 100 hs.

First off, I really like vessel view mobile as it provides much more information than the few boat manufacturer installed gages. I have used it on my iPhone, iPad and an android phone and I have had very few complaints, the biggest one was addressed in the latest update which added some more fundamental instrumentation. So why one star? I have tried repeatedly to "buy" and install the app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 to no avail. I know the app is not optimized for tablets and only works in portrait mode, but the play store app crashes every time I try to install Vessel View. I have downloaded and installed a couple of other apps just to make sure my play store app wasn't corrupted and they worked fine. Why do I want it on the tablet rather than the phone? It is much easier to see the information on the tablet screen, especially underway on my center console boat. Please fix this!

I really like it! I'm kind of a 'gear head' and this app gives me a lot of insight into how my Merc 40 is performing in real time. I'm also learning how to use it track maintenance as well (though I have a separate spreadsheet for that.) I would like that I could view it on my Simrad Go7 but it doesn't speak Bluetooth. Overall I'm quite happy with the app and the US$275 I paid for the engine module.

I have used the app several times on my phone and tablet. The one thing i just can understand is WHY WHY WHY it doesnt have compatibility to be used in landscape mode. To me and everyone i have talked to, especially tablet users this is not only a no brainer but would increase the appeal of vessel view all together. I would far sooner have a 10" i pad on my dash than a phone stuck to my windshield upright. Please update this app to include this change. Otherwise a great tool.
