X10 Commander for Android
Doesnt allow family share. Greedy. Interface could use an update too.
Works "right out of the box", from anywhere there's internet.
I have it installed on and in use on today: Motorola Atrix 2 mb865; Samsung 7" tab p3113; Samsung 7" phone p3100; Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1; and both of my MK808 android mini pc. Been using a long time now. Has always worked flawlessly.
For such a hefty price it should have less steps to simply turn on a light or run a macro. Hasn't been updated or improved in YEARS (2012??????). Lazy.
Locked myself out of the house last night and X10 Commander came to the rescue. I have the garage door connected to an X10 Universal Control Module, otherwise I would have had to break-in to my own house. Thank you!
Its a good app and was working fine on my Galaxy S4, however on the new S7 the oprions menu button on the phone is no longer present. So now there is no way to access the servers menu screen on the app. There is also no option in the app itself to access the servers menu.
For such a hefty price it should have less steps to simply turn on a light or run a macro. Pretty amateur interface. Can't delete a connection. Hasn't been updated or improved in over TWO YEARS.

Been using on my iPhone for years, switched to my new android and it works great. Can turn my kennel lights on in Missouri while in Hawaii and can check on my dogs on our cameras. Not a lot of bells and whistles, just works.
Worked first time
I had some initial compatibility problems on PC that could have been handled with a good FAQ. However, technical support cleared them quickly.
Waste of money Has way to many glitches when you can even get running, Connects sometime but not very often. Save your money this prog isn't fully developed and is worthless. I'ts sad someone would even sales this garbage Looks like it feel right out of the 70's but a least their programs worked in the 70". Deleting it form my pc and phone before it locks everything up! I really don't care if i got took for 6 bucks aslong as i can help others not to do the same.
I rarely buy an app by this one deserved my money.
Interface could use an update but otherwise works as advertised.
This is by far the cheapest way to do home automation on Android. I control all my lights and fans from my phone wherever I am using DynDNS, X10 Commander and ~$100 total of X10 gear purchased on eBay, thereby bypassing the horrible X10 website. The Android app is better than the iOS app in that it indicates which modules are on or off. No distinct icons nor rooms; no reordering of devices on the fly. Fairly quick to respond by X10 standards. Slower than the iOS app but more features. Wish it were $7.
Had it connected to my house in mins. Would be great to have different icons for different modules & not to have dim function for appliances
Good app, easy to setup. Would be nice to have grouping and macros added. Hope developer continues, will become a great app.
Just got X10-C a few days ago. Was sometimes having trouble with my Droid 2, but after an email to the developers, they came out with a new version the next day. Now Droid 2 (running 2.20 Kernel) works flawlessly. Great product and great support.
Worked great on my iPhone 3GS, changed over to HTC EVO 3D and it stalls on connecting to my network.
Could use some improvements but is better than nothing for $10.
Well worth 10bucks set up in about 10mins. Works great.
Great to have a x-10 app on my phone. It works very well. Worth the money.
Great for snappin on the lights here at home before leaving work.
Works as it should. This could be better with macro controls.
Works great. All on/off would be a good addition.
Works good. Would like more if you could seperate by room (folders)
Connects every time, able to monitor and control all my X10 modules. Works really well with DroidX.
Awesome! Works great and connects reliably. Excellent customer service too!! Samsung vibrant
The new version works well on my ATRIX. This is not small feat concidering other apps. have problems with comms. on this phone. Good job. Excellent customer service!
Does not work most of the time. Extreme lag if it even works. Wish I had more time missed my refund time. Do not buy, waste of money.
Already £ on IOS and £8 is £7.99 too much for a basic port that makes no use of the power of Android. Even appliance modules have dim buttons. Not impressed
Not really. It's a good app don't get me wrong, but an ugly/clunky UI. No widget? Wow. For $10?
Does what it says and does it well. Along with the developer's prompt and helpful support, it's well worth the price and a 5-star rating. The server is effective and dependable, supporting mobile as well as Wi-Fi connections. I've found no alternatives that do even that much reliably. It will receive commands from Tasker (using 'HTTP Get'), which is all that's needed for any kind of device-based automation. Most X10 systems include the ability to create and save macros—which can then be fired by X10 Commander. It therefore seems unlikely the developer would or should consider adding that capability. The client design is simple and effective, making it easy to set-up and use. The sorting by device name is a bit off-putting, but easily fixed by prefacing the names with a suitable sort code. Welcome improvements would be the addition of a hidden sort field and the ability to assign icons representing at least the basic types of devices (e.g., lamp, switch, universal, macro). Those would be configured in the server, and so would make the client more effective without affecting the simplicity of its UI.
I just installed on a Galaxy Note 2 and it installed easily. The layout is very simple but effective. It does the job it's suppose to do. Support is via a forum which author monitors and is GREAT!! I would like to see multiple user profiles but it is a great app.

Ok app but would like to see more skins. Looks better for iphone. Works great though. Also would be nice to include my wifi thermostat controls.

I have been using the app 6 months or so and I really like it. Does what it is supposed to do in allowing me to control all my X10 devices from my Atrix 4G. What I think really sets this apart from the rest is the customer service. I recently found that I needed to move the app registration from one gmail account to another, and while Google doesn't offer a way to do this, the rep from Melloware went out of his way to help me accomplish this. Very prompt and professional response to my email (even over a weekend). This alone, justifies the purchase price of the app.
At first device list was not coming up to the phone. But after great support of the developer I found out that changing the language of the phone solved the problem. Melloware thank you very much again. I hope you will sort it out with an update.

I rarely buy an app by this one deserved my money. Run this with HA Bridge to use x10 with Alexa/Echo
