Video Compress for Android
Yes, Incredibly useful. In fact, amongst the most useful tools you are likely to find on Google Store. I have it on all 4 of my smartphones and recommend to ALL my pals!. Still, a small bug which hasn't been fixed yet I keep updating though in anticipation of a fix: after I compress a video when I go back 2 delete the original it won't let me!? Please would you developers address the issue as when you sort it, this app would certainly warrant 5stars .contact me if you need further clarity on the issue;)
Simple and perfect for me. I go from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 on automatic high quality setting to create a HD file for uploading to Flickr and keeping certain stuff on my phone in reduced file size. The cut and compress feature works good to split long clips to under 3 minutes each (Flickr limit). The cuts you make while using cut/comp are not exact to a certain frame, but when working with home video, it doesn't really matter to me. If I need something for precise editing, I'll use an editing app. This is an awesome compressor. You can't find anything else like this for free, and no watermarks. 5*
Been using this for 6 months now since it was version 2 & it has been improving. Converted a 1920x1080 434MB video to 853x480 71MB on my phone (Qualcomm 801, 3GB RAM, CyanogenOS 12.1) just now & it took 8 minutes; the result was very satisfactory & the time was acceptable since I don't think there are others who could do it significantly faster. Now a happy paid customer. Please consider a separate paid version since Google's IAP detection is rather fickle, thank you!
Needs option to disable autoplay to earn five stars because it takes so very long to process the videos. It takes so long that I have forgotten that the app was running in the background only to have the just-compressed video begin to autoplay at inopportune times, blaring dialogue from my pocket. Otherwise, on my Samsung Galaxy 6S with Sprint, it takes a very long time to complete the process, but it seems to be effective. I really like the table of options it presents for desired outcomes of compression for each file before beginning the process.
Before compressing according to its calculation it's showing that file size will be 16mb but after compression I found that it's 24mb that is so big to send to whatsapp
The most amazing app. I just spent an hour compressing over 40 videos. I have 96 videos on my phone, and now all but 2 are compressed. My storage for videos went from almost 2GB to a little over 330MB!!!!! The videos are all still good quality. Takes a little while for some of them but it's well worth it!!! Life saver app for sure!! Thank you so much!!!
The sound on the compressed (and cutted) video doesn't go with the video. (e.g. when someone is talking on the video, the words don't come out precisely with the image) which is annoying. fix it please and I'll give 5 stars.
Those who wanted to compress videos, just download this app. There r no such issues like others app sayin couldn't find the compressed video or video quality is not good or video is in black n white, etc. I tried downloading many n working wit it but this app helped me the more BEST WAY. Hearty thanks to the developer..
Almost Useless Does not show details of source video. No option to use different video containers, formats, and codecs. Variable bitrate encoding (very important for compressing videos) is not available. Perhaps, you should name this app Video Resizer, not compressor.
NOT RECOMMEND... !! Worst experience... Your video size will be look increased.. but actual size is lesser... And here u r offering by this app for 'video file size compress' ... Do not even try this app... Again .... *NOT RECOMMEND*
compression technology is good and working, but applicable only for smaller file compression bcoz it takes too much time. its just impossible to compress big files with this nasty turtoise app. plz developrts speed the tech for faster com...
I converted all my bulky videos to 360p and voila. This app has solved my storage problems! Thumbs up! :)
Please allow us to convert in backgound so that we can use our phone while still converting...
It is however understandable why though because it's not easy to calculate file size compression, we know this because winRAR and winZIP also can't predict the file size of the compressed file without compromising it first. Just wish the developer wouldn't lie in the app
The app though reduces video sizes. But the quality totally reduced. I compressed a 20mb video and the compressed form's quality is so wack! Not RECOMMENDED
This app compresses videos in different sizes. If you don't mind ads this is the perfect app for you.
Does not compress different videos from same folder. Says file already exists. Tweaked duplicate settings as well without any change. So much for buying it! Good app design but very poor performance.
I can compress 146 mb file to 8.9 mb file with a clear audio and video output. We can remove audio from the clip if required. We can cut and compress as well, all in all a must have for self shot videos and then sharing them via WhatsApp to our near n dear. Thanks
After the video is compressed, I cannot find it. Not in the app, nor on my phone. If I try to compress it again, it tells me one had already been compressed, but still doesn't give a location.
Worst app ever. Try compressing ur high ratings to a one or no star
Well designed UI, albeit with ads. Lets you customize resolution and video quality separately. One big limitation though: no queue or batch conversion; app is unusable during compression.
The compression cancels out sometimes, i've had to compress files multiple times that take 35 minutes to compress.. Alot of time wasted.. Please fix
Only once I can edit after that it takes too long to extract video Very time consuming app Hope that you will fix the problem in coming days
I compress video to low size, but still high /big size. The video and sound okay. Please fix.
Though it's unfortunate to rate it so low but fact is that list of auto resolution and size(as advertised) and also option to compress is not reflecting.
Woooow! It's such an amazing app. Just installed it and has done what many apps couldn't do. It reduced the video size I wanted to share and couldn't recognise much difference in the quality.
I like how it shows options with the end file size before starting. that way you don't have to wait 5mins for compression only to find its still not small enough
Almost perfect Makers please make this app more user friendly. If we could see more details in the progress like speed in mb/ps & background details in notification pannel till task complete.Than it will 5 star application☺
I really like this app. First I downloaded vidtrim to compress my video 4k to 1080p but it failed. And then I downloaded this app and it worked really good much much better then vidtrim.
this app solved my problem, cox i had to send video on whtapp urgently and it was impossible if i couldn't knew about this app
It compressed video.. Somewhere that you can't find, but when I go to share it. Have to wait for a video to load
When I try to compress, it only gets to 99% then totally hangs for hours
It's compress video in a short time and easy to access. Now I can able to send big videos in whats app
It take maximum time to do any task...like compress video, rotating vedio, etc... fix this issues
It is very useful application. I reduced the size of video and can send in WhatsApp. There is also a function that can help to convert videos to audios.
Offered functions are very good but the app name is misleading which should called video resizing rather compression which could mean no resizing. Besides, optionally sorting folders by timestamp descendingly would be better.
Original video size 34mb, compressed to 18mb with low quality got 24mb.
Slow and does a terrible job with the compressions. There are much better apps.
Take very large time to even 1gb file. More than 3 hours

Generally handy for reducing the file size and rotating videos so that they can be e mailed for work purposes. The quality of the video is good for that purpose; better than reducing the resolution of the video camera in my phone, which results in seriously pixalated images. It is better to reduce the file size first and then rotate them to save time. Today though i am getting errors in trying to rotate the images that have been shrunk. I am not sure why yet.
