SHAKE4HELP is an android application designed to help you in any emergency situation. Just shake the phone and help will come to you quickly!!!
The problem of violence criminality and insecurity are considered the main concerns in most countries In fact, now at days urban violence and insecurity have replaced poverty and unemployment as issues that requires more attention. Unfortunately criminals are more prepared and citizens are defenseless That's why shake4help appears in order to help these people. It also can be used in many other emergency situations, such as Medical emergencies accidents kids protection and people with Alzheimer.
SHAKE4HELP can help your life because there is no easier way to ask for help as Shaking the phone. After you shake the phone the SHAKE4HELP app will generate an alert message, getting your current location using the best network provider that your phone has in that moment (3G, Wifi, GPS) and sending this message to your family, friends, or directly to the police. The message contains a google maps link to see where the person is. Also it displays the country,city and Street information at the end of the message.
This app does not require to have the GPS turned on to trigger alerts. Awesome... dont you think???
With "SHAKE4HELP " you will get the following features:
-SMS alert ( Very useful for someone who has no internet connection)
- Automatic Emergency Call to somebody who can hear what's going on. (Or if you are in US you can set 911 to call the police).
- Email notification ( Sending from mejidroid@gmail.com as an automatic message).
- Shake speed configuration: The user can set your own speed shaking phone to avoid false alarms.
- Panic Button: This app also contains a huge red button used when the user needs help and he/she can't shake the phone for some reason. (SHAKE4HELP thinks in everything!)
- Customized alert message (i.e. "Help me please", "Im in an emergency situation", "I'm going to give birth" , etc.)
- Facebook alert - Automatic posting of the alert message to the user wall in facebook. Very useful for persons who wants to ask for help to any friends who could be near from the location described in the message.
- Request location via SMS: You can active the request location setting a secret word and then your family and friends will be able to locate you just sending a sms with the secret word as content of the message.
- Location request privacy: You can define who can locate you in case of emergencies. So the Location request will be able to be used just for a specific phone number.

- SOS alarm - If you lost your phone,you can send you an SMS with the word 'SOS' to activate the ALARM.

Great idea but could do with an alarm sound for when the alarm is about to be activated so as can be aware that it's about to go off and then can cancel great app tho for my seizures as I get no warning

Good work...havent explored much but basic email and phone msg functionality works just fine... only issue though is that it takes a long time before alert is sent out... still a thumbs up for this app for shake mode that can run in background.

Phone dropped and accidentally went off...not the problem though. Text sent to my contact but with a VERY wrong location. Guess he wouldn't have been able to locate and save me!

Works great except there is only room for one contact. If your emergency contact has their phone off or isnt by their email it wont be helpful. If there was an option for multiple emergency contacts would be 5 stars

I lost my mobile recently...but this app did not send any sim change notification to the configured number or email. Would have given 5 stars if it was able to recover my mobile.

The localization using the secret word from every phone make this a perfect tracker application,I never used the help feature but the tracking works like a charm. I'll never will lose my phone this way.

I tested all the app's features and all of them worked as I expected. It is really easy to configure and to use, while having a lot of possibilities to send the emergency message (Automatic call, SMS, GPS, Facebook and mail). Totally recommended.

buenisima funciona bien y es super estable

Installed on Samsung Avant. Very buggy. Sends smsg to only 1 address instead of intended 3. Shaking brings up the app instead of firing off alert. Will not put Alert widget on locked screen while it is supposed to, will not respond to smsg command text.
