kumo cloud for Android
Not sure what all the fuss is about. App works great for me. So happy to be able to control the thermostat and timers remotely! App is responsive, simple to connect and simple to use! My installer installed the PAC-USWHS002-WF-1 (newest wifi connector) to model MSZ-GL24NA-U1 Wall Mounted Indoor Unit
Garbage. Had it removed from my system.
2 stars for existing.
App can't find kumo cloud device, even though I see it connect as gainspan on my router. Installer tried with his own mobile hotspot too and couldn't get it to work. What a crap product
Android 7.0 on LG G5. Unable to connect via Bluetooth. Unit displays as PR BT B0E2, and asks to confirm passcode. Adapter has no display. Fails to connect, and claims Bluetooth is not enabled on my phone.
Needs to add back the current temperature capability when the system is off.
I'm with Nate, Temp reading is gone. And needs to mirror the remote that comes with unit. Still slow to connect to remote module but works. I know a lot of it is data speed.
A few of the bugs seem to have been worked out. As a few others have mentioned, the update though is a step in the wrong direction though. It doesn't make any sense to have to turn heating or cooling on before you can see the current temperature.. Please fix soon!
This app is really bad. You can tell they used one of those things that makes the same app for every operating system - and it doesn't work well on any of them. The automatic setup doesn't work at all; I wasn't able to get it to recognize any of my heads without typing in MAC addresses manually. Now that I have, two of them have completely stopped responding to the app, and there's a giant exclamation point on their icons in the app. The troubleshooting screen says there's no signal to the router, but I can see the devices from my router's device list... and I can even ping them. The app is just willfully ignoring them. I hope they fix the app because the mini-splits themselves are great - I just can't in good conscience recommend someone spend extra money on the kumo cloud system when the app is this bad.
Overall a pretty good app, but I hope they continue to improve. For now it allows me to control the air handlers from home or away. That is a big bonus.
Mediocre at best, it fights with the hand held unit, and out of the 3 units I have 1 has already failed, in less than 3 months!
Doesn't look like the screenshots
Functional, but needs improvement Need CURRENT temp display as well as SET temp display on zone overview screen, not just individual zone screens. Would be better if app adopts capability to operate on LOCAL network when app can access local WiFi and via cloud when away from local network - many home control apps use this functionality to improve performance and reliability. Would also be great if app could track operational time, maintenance, humidity, temp, etc... over time. Lots could be done to make this app so much MORE than a simple remote BUT AT MINIMUM IT SHOULD OFFER SAME FUNCTIONALITY AS THE REMOTE!!! I have four HE2 systems installed for 6 months now and was going to put in four more because the SYSTEMS are great BUT app is critical for control of my large property. This app is bad enough that I will shop other brands before putting in another Mitsubishi system.
Just got the system installed on Friday 4/7/17 the installation team ..yes team because they both were trying to get the dang thing to link with my WiFi..we called Mitsubishi who gave us some help..but after 2hours of overtime that the installers were on I gave up and sent them home..they're due to return next week to try again. I'm also trying to do it on my own..so far one out of three zones where found and linked and I was able to name it...I'll repost if the other two are successful...If not Mitsubishi look forward to a call..find another app. HERE'S MY UPDATE.... as of 04/11/17..the app finally found the zones and linked up. I was able to name each of the zones I am now satisfied.
Editing my review to reflect the current update. They added back the ability to see current temperature while the unit is off. A crucial feature that I don't understand why it was removed but it's now back so I'm adding a star. Still missing some features like the ability to see a system overview in the main screen, aka why do I need to click every zone to see its set Temps or even if its on or not. Need that back. Also controls between screens are inconsistent. Backbutton works sometimes but not others?
Techs have been here 4 hours and still cannot aquire all 3 mini splits, they are on the phone with Mitsubishi and still cannot figure out! Will update if they ever connect the units. THEY FINALLY MADE IT WORK. App does all you want it to do and works well
Coming from a contractor this app is JUNK. The program feature is horrible. My wall mount unit does not shut off at the desired setpoint it keeps running and running, never shuts off. I AM GOING BACK TO USING THE MHK1 WALLMOUNT THERMOSTAT AND YOU SHOULD TOO. DO NOT BUY!
With the update, off mode / fan only gives the temp!...Still missing a lot of features from the remote that came with unit. Needs to mirror the remote that came with the unit. Would love it if it had a powerful button feature like remote that came with unit
Still pretty glitchy even after update, and way slower than before. I can no longer control my while home from one screen, have to open each group and change settings. You'd think at the very least they would fix the broken jpg icon for the i-See cool/heat setting. This app has so much potential but Mitsubishi has really dropped the ball here.
Does not work consistently. Only finds the handlers about 10 percent of the time so its basically useless.
I like the idea behind this app but I have two bugs that tech help have not been able to solve. The first is no programs will run for me after 4pm local Seattle time (5 pm since spring forward). These times happen to align with 0:00 GMT. Also the Disable Programs feature does not appear to work. After I disable programs they still continue to run.
Overall a pretty good app, but I hope they continue to improve. For now it allows me to control the air handlers from home or away. That is a big bonus.
Best mini split app I have seen! Love the scheduling feature and the filter reminder. So convenient!

Personally I think the best thing they could do at this point is publish an API and allow some 3rd-party developers to start building their own solutions. They added the current temp back in when units are off so that's a plus. Since update, unable to control the fan speed now on all my ceiling cassettes. Still can't control the "Home" group. It's impossible to just shut off or turn on all units at once, have to go into each group and do it separately. Scheduling is still pretty glitchy. Change schedule, system still seems to use the old schedule for maybe a day before it switches. Sometimes, disabling one schedule makes none of them work. Sometimes, if I manually adjust the temperature for one unit, it will revert back to scheduled settings a few moments later. I think at this point it's clear, Mitsubishi can't seem to get it right on this. Like, why can't I just see a summary of every zone with current temp, mode and set temp?
