ezOutlet for Android
Whatever IP it was pinging wasn't working for me. You can change the IP it pings from the Web configurator but not from the app, it would still be nice to be able to ping multiple addresses/ set frequency of pings yourself.
Works great, would look better if/when they update the app to Materials Design layout. Otherwise the app and device work flawlessly and I don't have to wait to get home to restart my desktop if it freezes.
Router and Alarm reset without loosing connection.. A++
I just set this up one of the single port remote switches and i was watching my firewall and it calls home to taiwan over and over on port udp 5050. This is probably how you manage from your cell phone app. Glad I block it. Great little device but be careful and watch where it calls home.
App continually has spinning circle and loads only 50% of time, is updated to latest firmware and have relinked app multiple times. App not working for my Nexus 6
Great product & decent app. Only wish the app or product webpage had a log history of resets.
Android app failed to do a firmware update however and I had to do it with my wife's iPad. I can connect to the ezoutlet's web server from my android so i don't think its a networking issue. I've also seen a few crashes from the app. Great product otherwise, and I would still highly recommend the product if you have flaky networking equipment or need a remote switchable outlet.
Second unit added crashes app
Works great, and the ability to have a free full featured app without limitation is a welcome find.

Works well and is straightforward to use. Only two small negatives: 1) The app did not automatically find the ezOutlet switch on the LAN, so I needed to log into the router to find the switch's address in order to do a firmware upgrade. However once I entered the switch's address manually, the firmware upgrade was very easy to do. 2) The app offers no way to choose your own ping host or to set how long a network outage must be to trigger a power cycle of the equipment. The switch waits less than a minute after a ping outage before power cycling, which is too short if someone is working on the network equipment, upgrading its firmware, etc. There needs to be a way to lengthen this timeout to 5 or 10 minutes when desired. EDIT: Thanks for the reply. I appreciate what you are saying about the ping delay setting. However, the description for that setting is "initial delay before the pings start after a power cycle". It is not "delay after a ping outage before a power cycle occurs" which is what is required. It would be great if you could add this feature.
