Meetup for Android
Doesn't always recognize that I have the app when clicking email links to approve new members.
New user, so far happy with it.
The app is working better now.
Great way to get out of your normal routine, meet different people and enjoy life!
Since the update, the "Your groups" filter does not show all of your groups. It only shows about 1 or 2 of them for me. I have to manually search through my groups individually now. Used to be a better app. Edit: I switched my "Limit distance" filter from the default "Best match" to "100 mi." My groups show up again. The app should explain what "Best match" is or change its parameters if it's going to be the default option.
I enjoy MeetUp for making new friends and meeting new people. However, I am really struggling to understand why the fee is so high. There's no possible way that it really costs MeetUp $20 PER MONTH PER GROUP to keep the app running. Especially for small groups that do not have many active members. I can understand a one time start up fee, but every single month?? That just seems outrageous. Once my MeetUp group is established I will be moving it to a different social media site that is free.
This app is super easy to use. Can also do it in the computer as well. Helps you plan things to do every day once you join a few different groups. When I don't have plans and I want to go out I check in here to see if anything is going on.
I did not get this app to make my accounts vulnerable. The fact that it needs to use one of our established accounts for other things in order to log in, is a serious problem with security. If I can't log in with the info I registered the app with...I just won't use the app.
I really love this app. It makes me really active, meet new people and visit a lot of places. But since the list update everything is confusing. Everything changed. Before you could find meetups on a map and directly see your groups in a separate page. It was really helpful. I don't like the new version. Please change our improve it.
I hate this latest update. The calendar for my groups is no longer in date order which is extremely annoying and makes it difficult to know whether you are double booking events on the same day. Please return to a calendar in date order.
The app has improved over the past several months but there are still some bugs that should be worked out. It is pretty much impossible to send a group message from an organizer (which is a personal pet peeve.) I do love the new lay out of the calendar so that I can quickly see what meetups are pending.
UX is great, but UI still has a way to go. Would like to see integration with smart watches. The Android UI seems a bit buggy ( I get crashes every week) and cluttered- especially the schooling pictures with text. I use it bc it's the platform many people choose to advertise but I wouldn't use it otherwise.
Horrible experience. Can't find real event in my city (but can open it in web). Can't change interests in profile. Without that usage makes no sense to me
Hate the new update, so many of my members find it had to use. Hope you hurry up and bring out a new version!! Perhaps have someone else design it!!
I consider it traveling with your own city. I travel the world and everyone is friendly. But if your stuck in one place looking to meet new open minded people this is the place to be
Simple way to meet like minded folks, or people you want to think like. 5/5 for ease of use and simplicity Edit: Impressed further by the developer comment. You guys rock! Keep up the good work.
Events in the calendar are no longer in date order which is very confusing. I have events in June showing before ones for the current week. Very unsatisfactory.
This version has reshuffled the list of upcoming Meetups again, hiding the option to sort them by date in a settings dialog. Sorry you spent so much money on this rebranding and new version of your app, Meetup.
I am in a new place and don't know anyone. This app was great for meeting people, going to new places and getting me out of the apartment. So glad I did it!
I am really struggling with this app. I don't get reminders on it or see new events in a timely fashion. It often freezes too
There could be a better user experience. It doesn't always feel natural to find what I'm looking for
You wrecked a once-great app. You fools.
I love meetup there is something for everyone and lots of new things to try too,
The application definitely works. It is easy to navigate and learn, as well as tailor meetups to your liking based on what you search. Overall, a good app that makes finding communities very easy.
As a daily user I have made the adjustment to the newer ux -- lots to like and appreciate some of the changes and additions after the initial adjustment. So overall the newer ux has some advantages.
App is not arranging data in incremental days. It is shuffling it.
Found the app really useful for finding new groups to go walking with which has led to me visiting lots of new places and meeting lots of new people, works well for me.
It's helping me to get out and make new friends whilst doing the things I love, fantastic
Really like the app and what it does. Although as a new user I'd really like if it automatically synced with my google calendar or if it at least had an in app calendar.
This app keeps getting better and is really on par with how it was prior to the version 3 massive makeover. Keep up the good work.
Good way to meet people in a new place and find people who like the same things you do!
Only just started using this app but it seems great so far, I've been to a meet up and it was great!!
It's a great to have with you on Meetup days.
Made some great new friends in a safe place
So far so good. I'm able to keep up with postings from my group.
This is the greatest since sliced bread. Having a lot of fun with it and meeting really fun people!
This app has served very well at engaging audiences for me!
The app is pretty good. The connections so far has been great.
This a great service to meet friend and enjoy group activities.

The features I like so far is the connection to your calendar. That's quite convenient but otherwise I don't have anything to rave about. There are glitches and sometimes crashes but so far nothing major to stop me from using the app.
