Amazingly fast but the offline support is not as advertised. yet another news pp that loads a snippet and then requires you to open in browser online in order to read an article in full. Even the default loaded examples. Some pages will only offer you a line or two of text. So pretty useless, more of a list of links with images attached than a news reader. Sad to say but this is about the 10th app ive tried with similar issues. Are there any proper offline news readers for android?

by N####:

Their tagine says it all: Powerful, clean and easy to use. I did find the adding new feeds process to be a bit tricky at first but once you get it, it works great.

H70%
by H####:

It needs a way to choose a download location for podcasts. Without that, it's worthless for me with podcasts. Don't need RSS feeds for news, so can't comment on anything else.

N70%
by N####:

Has most of the podcasts you could want, downloadable for those of us who don't want to use data, decent quality. I use this app everyday.

I have been searching for replacement since google canceled its service. Tried more apps, this is the best so far for me.

Garbage

D70%
by D####:

Adding and viewing feeds works well. Layout and design is user friendly but with access to plenty of options for my needs. The 'List' layout should be more condensed (title and date) and would appreciate the ability to backup feeds AND contents without using a third party app. Widgets are useless.

D70%
by D####:

The biggest problem is inability to stop streaming if you close the app. It still runs in the background. Tried putting a feed URL into podcast tab when adding a new source. Nothing happened. Ads are also annoying. But overall a good app.

D70%
by D####:

Loved this app but in the latest version when you press back to return to feed list it exits the program! And to make things worse, the phone menu button doesn't open the feed list so now one hand browsing is impossible. Seriously people, why developers break perfectly good apps with terrible UI changes... Edit: Ads are getting terrible as well... Seizure inducing flashes so I can't use at night anymore.

D70%
by D####:

Absolutely terrible update..months of saved and collected feeds and messages all gone without warning and now im apparently signed up for several feeds i didnt ask for instead? No thank you..ill be movingg elsewhere from now on..

Does great for downloads for National Weather Service forecast products. The new 4.0 version has a nice layout, once I figured it out. You can UNCHECK the default downloads an do a web search for what you are looking for.

D70%
by D####:

I used this app a while back for offline reading and it was great. Now all the features and customizations are gone. I thought apps were supposed to ADD features not take them away.

D70%
by D####:

Over all, this is a good app. Features that would help: 1) Search, 2) Option to directly uses your favorite web browser. When scrolling through a list occasionally (probably during a list update), the display jumps all the way back to the top. 3) Please don't update while it is being viewed unless the user selects update (a new feature).

I've used this app for over 2 years now but the latest update has made it virtually unuseable. Even though I've been able to fined the feeds I lost in the update they no longer update correctley. Also, there appears to be no playlist function anymore. I'm now looking for a replacement app. Hurrah, replacement found! Feed+ is what you really want

F70%
by F####:

Migrated seamlessly to RssDemon when Google Reader closure was announced. Works perfectly on my N4, no need to look back. Cancel that! Upgrade to v4 has wiped all my feeds! Why on earth do that? Also, I can't seem to get rid of the crazy default feeds - this may be a shock to an American developer but I'm not American and I have zero interest in "This American Life", whatever that might be. Down from 5 stars to 1 star (only because I can't select zero stars).

K70%
by K####:

I used to love this app and it was THE RSS reader for me on the go. This update not only deleted all my previous feeds, the new functionality is hard to use. For example, there seems to be no way to rename the title of a feed or create new folders so I can group feeds together. Very disappointing. This app has become an utter piece of crap. Uninstalling.

E70%
by E####:

No use configuring this app. Developers feel they can erase all your data when they feel like doing an upgrade. Sorry if you where using the app but now it's all gone. Time is better spent configuribg an app that isn't going to leave you high and dry same day,

R70%
by R####:

Used for years, best RSS reader ever. Accumulated mountains of feeds and articles. Then one morning dev feels like god, pushes update with no warning, deleting all data. Sorry, but even if you fix this app-turned-crap, you are not trustworthy. Lost me as a user forever.

K70%
by K####:

RSS content doesn't even show up. Yep tried it again this morning. Nothing. It gives ad for nothing. Stay away.

G70%
by G####:

I had written a very grumpy review of this due to an update with full screen ads. But - props to the dev(s)... They have killed the full screen ad, and in general, I'm now quite satisfied with the app. Thanks for listening.

if i could import opml and if you fixed that weird cpu consumption (which seems to be caused by the ads; btw: ain't there any option to get rid of it?!?)

O70%
by O####:

Lack of OPML import is a no-no for me. Shame since the app is otherwise excellent.

I used to be able to delete the feeds I didn't want to subscribe to. Now I have to hide them so they will not update.

K70%
by K####:

First time I updated, I lost all of my feeds...No warning. now you update again and make it worse. I used to be able to swipe right to go back to the feed list. Now I have to PHYSICALLY reach to the edge and swipe right to get my list... Nit all users have large hands. Why are you even making changes to navigation? This isn't a improvement. A feed list is something very personal and we learn to navigate with muscle memory... Each time you make a stupid change, we need to relearn it. Now, we need to reach further too... It's time to start looking elsewhere.
