Car Seat Helper for Android
Cool
As a certified car seat tech this is bad info it makes it sound like keeping a child rear facing past 2 years isnt an option. NHTSA recomends rear facing until 4 years old or at least until the convertible seat rear facing.
I am disappointed in the information provided in this app. When I enter my daughters stats it suggests I should forward face her and does not even mention to continue to rear face her. She is 2.5 years old and it is known that she Israel safest rear facing. Best practice suggests reading a new facing as close to 4 years as possible. It also suggests that car seats do not need to be replaced after minor crashes, however the majority of car seat manufacturers require replacement after ANY crash. I am a CPST.
Good general info. I agree with it's recommendations most of the time, and I'm a CPST.
Excellent
AWESOME!
I love it. It is very helpful. I Have the hardest time choosing which car seat I need for my kids and this helped tremendously.
I love the graphics. So easy to use!
Way to go PCH. A great tool for families with young kids.
Really nicely designed app, great info on an important topic which many parents find confusing.
Its great to have this app to help decide on a good seat for the child, but it should express that the child can and should still be in a five point harness at 4 and 40lbs; along with emphisis that the child should rear face as long as possible.
GREAT!
Pretty good
