Terrible app. Delayed telecast, everytime you leave the app for say, a call or if you turn your screen off for a second, you have to watch 3 adds. App always attempts to stop playback and asks regularly if you're still watching. The only positive is it has the tennis. But that's it's primary objective, fails in every other way. Watch it on TV or stream online. Terrible!!

Usual channel 7, thinking to make money whatever way they can. Advertises can watch press conferences, but u cannot. They are uploaded faster to youtube. As usual channel 7 never creates anything watchable, but tries to sell major events. I think it is time another network shows Australian open.

Can't find any Chromecast support, so it's a useless app. Also no way to turn off annoying commentary audio.

The frequent "are you still there?" messages are annoying and it would be much more useful to me if it supported chromecast - but its ok, you can use it to watch tennis.

The app is alright although the broadcasting is a bit late to arrive on ur phone and the annoying thing is that u have to watch 2 or 3 advertisements before actually viewing the match

It's nice to watch current matches but has way too many ads, if i check a message between games and come back i need to watch 45 seconds (3 ads) before i can watch again, even if i watched the other 3 just before

Garbage. Literally can't leave the app for a split second to take a call or text without having to watch 3.. Yes 3 entire ads before the tennis comes back on. Every. Single. Time. Disgusting. Only gets two stars instead of one because I like tennis.

No problems since upgrading to premium. Would like quick search for scores when unable to watch whole match

'Live & Free' is about 1minute behind the 'live & free' TV broadcast, both are plagued by advertising

Would not start playing live tennis on samsung tablet. Reinstalled it and still would not play.

I upgraded to premium straight away and have yet to see an ad. Works extremely well over chrome cast however, I don't have chrome cast on my own television so it would be good to see 7tennis start a TV app or channel 7 start a sporting app for TV streaming. Also searching for particular players matches needs to be abit easier than just scrolling until you find it. A results section on players and future scheduling of matches would also be handy. HD streaming works great. Oh, and the are you still watching notification was annoying until I realised you could turn it off in settings.

Keeps stopping and hanging. Seems to happen at a crucial time. Does not do this when ads are on. So frustrating have deleted the app

Good streaming app. Great coverage of all courts at AO....and no ads in Premium.

Needs a function to search players by name. Or at least an alphabetic listing because looking for players through only the ranking list is really irritating. Also $10 for Chromecast support? Should have tv tennis guide on there as well, so you can see which channel to turn to :)

When will Tennis Australia learn that giving this comp to channel 7 is useless. No coverage except whats on free to air tv, that means Australians only and only two courts covered, unless of course you want to see the final point of a match not featuring an Aussie. Foxtel used to provide 4 extra channels, when will you catch up?

It's being plugged by channel seven as 'havibg everything you could possibly want'... It has one screen of live streams, outdated news and weird player bios... No draws, no scores, no up to the minute info. I feel like I'm in the dark ages.

Giving it 4 stars because the broadcast has some stops then on there meaning loss of entertainment and points. Wiuld love more player stats involved than would give it 5/5 stars. Good Job Though!

I understand the need for ads but they are just too much. If you exit the app during the breaks and come back, you have to sit through 3 ads! No option to skip. The same 4 ads are played over and over, every game break. Player profiles have a lot of missing info. I've updated my review based in finding the setting to turn off the 'Are you still watching?' message.

Not surprised given the 7 app doesn't even have this feature despite ABC channel 9 and SBS all having the ability to chromecast and not having the cast the whole screen.

Most features okay. I would have rated it much higher if it didn't keep asking me if I am still watching. I am a busy mum and lots of times I am listening more than watching. It is beyond annoying to have to keep turning it on and watching the same bloody intro ads again all the while I am missing the tennis! Why keep asking me if I am still watching? If I wasn't watching why would I have the bloody app on?

Awful app, does not stream well and needs to be reset repeatedly. Problem is, you have to watch 3ads before the stream starts and it only works for a minute or two before having to be re-set. Only use if you prefer watching ads to tennis.

it's a pity they can't get the players names right for each match. there are several games that have incorrect names in the summary . it would be handy to have a schedule. even though i have premium i got an ad in the middle of a tie break! what's the point of buying premium if you miss large parts of games to watch an ad. if you pay you shouldn't see ads exceprt between matches

I didn't think they could get worse than last year's effort but they did it. Now the stream isn't just unreliable, it's worse than their free to air coverage for more minutes of annoying repetitive ads than actual tennis. Even more so since while they can't maintain a video stream, they never miss an opportunity to shove ads down your throat every time the stream reconnects.

The streaming quality is decent, however, every time you switch streams, or have to reload the app, you have to watch 2-3 ads ranging from 12+ seconds each. That is on top of the ads in the official broadcast. It feels like you watch more ads then tennis. I understand they need to make a profit, but it seems excessive.

Obviously have to go premium to get results etc. AO app is much better in my opinion. TV coverage was also poor last night with commercial breaks at the wrong time

Thanks for the chromecast support. I'd like to see some schedules on the app as well, like when matches are starting and scores of finished matches. It's a nice looking app and i dont know why there is such dislike towards it. Keep it up.

I got all the live courts working, first time. Maybe the update 2 days before the Australian Open started has fixed glitches. Ads did their thing and i had a wait you might expect with tv catch up on broadband (several seconds). I have only seen them come on between play, so hopefully it keeps up.

Not enough info. Why isn't there a list of all the items we want to read about? Like News. Results. etc. I don't want to just watch ads and live play I want to read, but there is nothing. AO app is much better. Very disappointing.

Have a subcription to the premium account but does not recognize it when i use my android tablet. This needs to be fixed so that it could work on all platforms and devices.

Why bother complaining, your app is useless and you don't really care. It plays 3 ads before starting the stream, I completely understand your need and addiction for ads, but once you watch 3 ads in perfect HD you get nothing... Video playback of what I'm actually here to watch, the tennis I think... just freezes constantly forcing you to restart the app, and then go through more ads to watch 30 seconds of tennis before it freezes again. I've tested on 4 different devices all with the same experience. When I'm on the go I'm stuck with this POS app, thank god I have HDHomeRun in the house and you can't do sh*t about that!

Tennis is in my blood so if I want to watch it then i have to tune into seven. So many ads and so loud and repetitive nature. Also ALWAYS cuts out with trchnical difficulties at the important end of sets. My wish is seven yo go bankrupt or just be banned from showing sport. Also why only show Aussies. Some of my favourite players are from overseas but you only want to shows Aussies who received wild cards not even from a ranking or qualifying. I wish i cold be given a wild card.

I realise there is an upgrade option and I would be happy to see the adverts as they appear on the tv. The deliberate use of them in this annoying way to encourage people to upgrade to the premium service is a 'low blow' way of operating.

No pop up screen so every time you go to another app, you watch same 3 ads all over again! Long delay!

Good quality of streaming but as soon as they decide even as a premium user you should get a ad then the whole thing freezes. So you have to go back to the menu pick a other game and go back to see what you want to see. Also very often it happens that the app is signing me out. Then I get even more of those app crashing ads. So the quality of the streams is good the whole experience is not. It is actually bad. Also the app is not updating the menu automatically. So when a match finishes it doesn't show the next match. It only updates the menu when you leaf to for example highlights and the go back. That's is just amateur mistakes.
