About MVV-App – Munich Journey Planner & Mobile Tickets
The MVV-App is a journey planning application created by the Munich transport association (MVV). As well as the MVV-internet journey planner, it provides entire bus and train connections quickly and reliably.
The journey planning information will help you to find the quickest connection from A to B. Just enter the name of the stop, the address or the point of interest as your start or destination or use your current location as your starting point.
The result includes footpath directions to your starting or destination point. You can even mark a preferred connection as your favourite. Additionally, the ticket you will need for the requested connection is shown. If you choose the appropriate settings in the menu, you can also avoid stairs.
The departure monitor indicates the next departures for each stop, including even real-time information for all S-Bahn (urban rail) trains. Entering a stop is very simple as the MVV-App knows all the stops and makes suggestions based on the initial letter(s).
You can purchase selected MVV tickets using the MVV-App on your smartphone. Register once and choose your ticket in the app before starting your journey. You can pay conveniently by credit card or by direct debit. The ticket is then automatically saved in you customer account and can be presented at any time – even if you don’t have an internet connection anymore. As electronic tickets are personalized, you have to bring your official photo ID.

At the beginning I liked this APP until I found out that it is not able to show me every Train to munich. Sometimes the S6 at 8:27 Form Vaterstetten is shown and sometimes not but it goes Evert day. Please improve

One useful app if you're in Munich. I strongly recommend. Clean UI and easy to understand, I like the new addition of network plans you can view different maps which is really handy. The timings of trains are real-time and could help you plan ahead and keep you informed of disruptions. Suggestions: 1. Munich is diverse. App interface in 5 most commonly spoken languages could help 2. Addition of monthly or weekly ticket option 3. For E-Ticket buyers, if the mobile battery drains out and controller checks your ticket? There should be an option to verify by Email Id or mobile number to verify the E-Ticket and the app can also have Photo ID if required 4. Market E-Ticket to reduce paper, print, validating. It saves costs, time and enhances the convenience

Schöne neue UI, aber keine Möglichkeit mein Ziel anzugeben? Oder so schlecht designed, dass ich es nicht finde. Edit: Okay gefunden, aber ist das wirklich der häufigste Use-Case? Ich denke am meisten werden Fahrtauskunften benötigt und würde deshalb auch diesen Punkt als Main Screen zeigen

Netzpläne wurden auf Download to storage + open in externem PDF Viewer umgestellt. Das hat bei mir dazu geführt, das ein externer PDF viewer sofort als default gesetzt wurde hat aber nicht funktioniert. Dann hatte ich keinen Zugriff auf Netzpläne mehr. Embedded PDF Viewer in der Vorversion hat funktioniert.

Very useful app and MVV is very responsive to the negative comments here. I can see they try to make the app work better to provide accurate infos. @MVV pls add a function where one can cancel ticket order if not needed. Then it should be good!

Honestly; having toured Europe with an international symphony orchestra for thirty years, this is pure magic. Do you youngsters have any idea how hard it used to be to use public transport in an unfamilar place? Absolute gold, this. I despair at some of the negative reviews.

Useless, can't register to purchase tickets. My address isn't in Germany, and while the app lets you select different countries and fill in the details it keeps rejecting the zip code, telling me it is invalid. It isn't.

The principle of this app is to let you know the timing of Munich transport but in fact there is a huge discrepancy between the app and reality. No alert nor upload of the transport delays are figured.

Recent versions of this app seem to be OK with overseas addresses and cards, even from outside the EU, which if I remember correctly was a problem on earlier versions. You can even buy tickets in English.

I've used the app for years. And it was always good. Until today, when i tried to find the direction to Thalkirchen. No mater where the beginning position is, it always points you to the main station???

After updating the app I can no longer buy Tickets. It keeps saying invalid starting point, not matter what I choose! It used to work just fine.
