What are users saying about Journey Planner

R70%
by R####:

Buggy and generally unreliable. Right down there in the useless category. Google Maps seems to be the only reliable way to plan travel journeys in Dublin and that's saying something.

A70%
by A####:

Just installed and it refuses to use GPS. Wants me to enable WiFi for Google to snoop.

B70%
by B####:

It's good but sometimes it doesn't show all possible buses or trains. Like, there is supposed to be a train but it's not showing it

R70%
by R####:

I can never understand what an app wants permission to access your pictures and media etc

R70%
by R####:

Refuses to show Dublin bus routes and instead insists I use a taxi. Even when I disable all modes of transport except for Dublin bus!

Ureliable. After having worked for some time, now is not working with samsung Galaxy J3 with a Tesco mobile sim

Fares rates calculator has dropped off most routes? No train services available?? or integrated at all into any route planning?! #parochial and #archaic CIE needs to desperately step up their game in terms of showing accurate and live bus location feeds, they have WiFi over 3G enabled buses, surely they can have an integrated bus network overview now? TFI & CIE Data providers need to update data to reflect diverted routes, weekend schedules and services not operating during industrial disputes in real time

I have increased my rating of this app from 3 to 5, as it has greatly improved recently. Not only is it showing Translink (Northern Ireland) services again, but it also gives accurate information (as far as I have been able to ascertain) about cross-border connections. For example, previously it returned no results for a query Belfast to Cork, but now it gives various options. Well done, and keep up the good work!

Waste of bloody time, Google is smarter and less laborious. Must have been designed by secondary school students with little or no skills.

Not sure what is the prose of this. Been "using" it for over 6 months now. It has NEVER been accurate. Hell- this my first review ever, and I'm just typing it while waiting for a bus that according to the application should be here. How can a WiFi and GPS equipped bus be so difficult to locate its beyond understanding. Fail :/

R70%
by R####:

I would like say OK but apps give wrong information's about weekend schedule.

R70%
by R####:

So I can't get from Dublin Houston Station to Westport Station 'no trips match' my search. Well done TFI.

Told to get a taxi at the start and end of a 3km journey! Uninstalling instantly.

R70%

Does not work correctly. When setting arrival time, it treats arrival as departure time.

Keeps on crashing

Cannot connect to server or connection cannot be established. Only every 20th attempt will it connect. A pure waste of time and very frustrating when information is required. Uninstall Uninstall Uninstall

Train times tricky to understand. And there's no platform details for trains.

We spent €15 for a bus that stranded us in the middle of nowhere. You'll have more luck getting to your destination using a compass than by using Journey Planner. Just use Google Maps for your own sake.

S70%
by S####:

Very poor app, Google maps does a better job, it even tells you if buses are late. *It's good to see the price hikes are going towards top class innovations for transport in Ireland. *Denotes sarcasm

but it excludes trains. What sthn point?

The National Transport Authority (a Irish Sate Authority) awards a Germany company the contract to develop and manage a integrated transport app for Ireland? Where is our knowledge based economy? ?? This app was not tested prior to its latest release and a TYO student sitting in Harcourt Lane should have no difficulties coming to the same conclusion! Sufficient enough reason to cut this company lose and redevelop something that WORKS FULLY & provides a facility to purchase an integrated ticket.
