MD Coder 10 - Charge Capture

Great app for Orthopedic MD's. Fantastic support.

Awesome. Clara in support is incredible.

When app works, it's great. Far superior to the computer version. But I seem to spend more time trying to figure out what's wrong with it than actually using it. Doesn't work when you travel. I often jam pack my day and then jump on plane to play for the weekend only to find out MDcoder will not work away from my home city.

Not perfect, but trying. I'd give the app 4 stars, but customer service gets 5. They have responded quickly to my questions and made the changes I requested in under 24 hours. I'm a new surgeon, so this is the only form of billing I've ever used personally. But it beats the heck out of the index cards my attendings were always lugging around!

As the founder and CEO of the company, I wanted to add a review. Our goal is to provide our user base an exceptional experience with our products. A product that is natural to use, that is intuitive and most importantly, gets the job done. We continue to improve the product by making it more user friendly, less taps and less touches to add a charge. We've added secure messaging in a way that is fresh, easy to use, supports voice dictation and gives the user complete control of their content and messages. We've put together an ICD10 roadmap that is intuitive, that is simple, that makes sense and most importantly, will be available to you the morning of October 1, 2015. People ask who our biggest competitor is. It is paper. With ICD10 looming around the corner, I can assure you managing a paper charge sheet will be an arduous task. We will be providing a solution that is surprising predictive. We will be increasing our product to support more real time data, to provide real time financial data, to provide you a way to always be connected to your back office to your revenue, to your cash flow. We have 12 providers in our group. The support staff at MDT loaded our codes, walked all of our physicians through and made sure they understood how to use MD Coder. It has been a great experience.

We are a 32 doctor hospitalist group who have used MD Coder for the last 8 months. We love this product. It has made a substantial impact on our bottom line, saving us thousands of dollars a month and improving our cash flow by reducing our time to bill from 14+ days to less than 24 hours. The companies customer service has been second to none and is in fact why we chose them. Our group is now able to easily manage multiple patient lists, share notes and view patient histories from any device. Charges are uploaded directly to a web portal which is primarily used by our billing team. It has a built in insurance verification function and allows them to scrub the charges before they are picked up and electronically input into our billing system. It also supports customized workflows which allow charges to be routed to the correct team member. It's well worth the price, they offer so much more then their competitors at this price point it was a no brainer for us. Try it and get a demonstration or training session to get the most out of it.

Very useful but interface is not easy. In addition, the website interface is absolutely horrid and difficult to maneuver

This app is not valid for doctors outside the US

First off, from a basic standpoint of capturing visits to later go back and bill, it is decent. The website to access the synchronized data is poor. Contrary to what someone else said here (probably the author of the software), the email support sucks and good luck getting a response. Finally, $110/mo for a single user?? Seriously? ? Get real. Based on what they are providing, maybe I would do $10/mo. In the end, probably not worth downloading.
