Very few of these destination alarms work well for everyone. But I tried this one on my Galaxy S2 here in Sydney Australia, and found that it worked. So far I have only tested it once. But what is unique, is that this app does not use GPS, - so therefore save the phone's battery. It may be unique in that regard! Upon starting up the app, you press the left "New" button and a map of your approximate position - without starting up the GPS. You find your intended destination on the map and press on it. Then press the right blue button to save the location. You then enter your email address on the next screen. Leave the app on but turn off the screen when you start on your trip. I found (using Hotmail) the notification went off about 10-15 seconds after I got off the bus at my interchange (that was the set location). When you st the location on the map, you will see a circle. The app looks for the cell in that area, and when in range, the notification activates. Very clever! However, if going on a bus or train, perhaps it would be wise to select a map position BEFORE your actual destination. You get a chance to get off at the right place. Perhaps GMail will deliver ahead of Hotmail.
