DC Bureau Nation&World News for Android
I rely on McClatchy to provide accurate and straightforward news about topics that matter in my life as well as thoroughly investigated original reports.

Most reputable news org in the US. App is reliable and informative, even the ads are unobtrusive and interesting.
Real journalism.
Best source for real journalism!
Intolerable. Constant interruption. Designed for folks with an attention span of 10 seconds. Deleted.
Terrible app.

You won't find gossip and moronic lists here. Just quality journalism.
McClatchy didn't get taken in by the "smoking gun" rhetoric before the Iraq war and continues to question and dig for the truth.
Update: I have always respected the unique storytelling and high quality of the journalism at McClatchy. That is why I said it was a pity that my old eyes couldn't read the tiny font. Thank you for listening to my complaint and solving the problem, I have reinstalled the app and am happily reunited with a conscientious, dedicated, and dependable news source. Kudos to your concern for your readers. .
Excellent news organization.
Type font is for ants. Can't enlarge type at all. Pity!
This is an excellent, newly updated app with top notch reporting from Washington and around the world.
Ability to change font size is gone with v1.2.0??
It keeps asking me to "Choose Edition" with no options to actually choose. Samsung Galaxy S3
No problems found yet. Discovered McClatchy via Lara Logan, lol. Would prefer audio or podcasts.
It bears repeating that negotiating the site is slow from within a page.
Crashes upon being opened AND upon rebooting the phone.
No story summaries, too many overlapping categories to scroll through.
I enjoy having McClatchy articles for commutes but the app has a tendency to crash. Usually not when I'm using it but at other times, like on boot, which slows down the phone as a whole while Android tries to deal with it. Otherwise a 4 but that glitch makes it too bothersome to keep installed. Removed from my galaxy s2.
Unlike many other news organization apps which can't be moved to SD card, this one installs directly to the SD card and has a very small memory footprint (which is important if you have an AT&T phone jammed with crapware). The User Interface is clean and well-organized and there are enough options to customize the content it downloads to satisfy all but the pickiest of users. If you like McClatchy coverage of news you'll like this. (And if you don't then why are you bothering to read this?)
Excellent reporting. Love it.
