Catan Game Assistant

This app taught me some rules that I didn't know existed, so this is definitely an extended rule book; well done voice acting. However, I am having crashes on the 4 player tutorial on frame 84, and I also wish the event cards would display larger on tablets.

Highly recommended for new players. I've played the 2 player and 3 player tutorial. Both had an issue of instructing us to use resources that players did not have. It wasn't a big deal, we just grabbed them from the bank instead. Would have been a 5 star otherwise.

It was going well until the cards stopped matching the commentary. Once they fix this it would be better. Also it kept crashing on slide 84. Had to pause it and read the rest.

Slide 49 needs to be corrected. Blue shud get 1 grain (not wool) and orange gets 1 grain and 1 wool. Also crashes on slide 84 if voice is played. Rest is nicely done. Learnt the game in a jiffy.

This was extremely helpful, however slide 45 had the woman (Fleur) pictured, while the man (Prof. Easy) was talking. And slide 50 said blue gets 'sheep' when it should be 'hay.'

Ran into two "typos" but other than that everything was explained seamlessly. A must watch for a first time group!

Good introduction into the game. Would like to see some explanation to how you would decide your move i.e. tactics. But otherwise really well told and easy to follow app. Thank you

Doesn't help past the basics of gameplay, so there is no real reason to need this app. 2 stars however for including dice function.

This app is a great way to learn to play Catan. Much faster setup than trying to read all the rules and explains a lot of details that might have been missed otherwise.

This held my family's attention much better than when I tried to explain the game by reading the rules. Great job, guys!

When you move the text up, you can not swipe to page forward. I like for was as I hear it so every page turn is several clicks.

App keeps locking up at 83 out of 94.

But it has errors: it shows the incorrect resource card for one of the steps.

Besides the clear and breezy tutorial, the FAQ section is worth the download even for experienced players.

It was nice having this to walk us through our first game. Other games should follow suit!

This app helped to make a game with many rules seem much less complex. Very helpful!

Perfect companion to Catan App and the Board Game.

The description of game rules has been arranged in a systematic way. Easy to learn. The best part of this app is the Event Cards section. I request Mayfair Games to manufacture these Event cards. They are so much better than dice!

There was one slide in the 40's of the four person introduction where some information was reversed. Also I had the app crash 3 times when reaching slide 84. Great idea, but needs refinement.

This app was very helpful to explain the game, but it has a technical problem - it crashes every time you get to slide 84 on the "Tutorial for 4 Players" This is on my Samsung Galaxy S5.

Great idea, but needs to be followed to the letter to make sense. which is a problem because slide 55 is wrong which is frustrating because it makes everyone think the players are at fault.

This app was a fantastic way of getting you up and playing Catan with no prior knowledge.

Step 84 for the 4 player set up repeatedly crashed the app, causing frustration.

Me and my friend on separate phones can not download this. I had it on this phone before too but now I get an error 963??

Wish I had seen this before our first game. We did a few things wrong.

This made the game easier to play and more fun. I definitely recommend using this app.

This is great for teaching players. And I really LOVE the event cards. But if it had a few more features it would be the only Catan app you need. A board generator, dice roller for Cities & Knights, and score keeper would eliminate the need for 3rd party apps. You could even make them an in app purchase. I'd buy it in an instant.

This game is complicated to learn so i highly recommend using this app for learning it
